Banned from Nexus

How can someone be such an ego cripple to jerk off on such a petty thing like do-it-yourself-banning? Sometimes I get the impression that the net is full of narcissistic idiots and antisocial dumbfucks.

 

And I don't mean the Nexus staff, but the mod author and people the like. Sorry for that, but I don't get the Nexus hate here, and I'm not in any way affiliated to them except having a few mods hosted there. Of course it was foreseeable that there would be a few imbeciles who would compensate the emptiness of their lives with some sort of pathetic feeling of power like being able to ban someone on the Nexus, but hey, what should the site staff do?

 

When they ban someone themselves, it's 'of course' always unfair (which in some cases may be the case, but c'mon, you know as well as I do that a lot of jerks really deserved a ban but only a few admit it), when they let the mod authors do it themselves it is wrong as well. So what should they do?

 

When I was a forum moderator a few years ago - a german forum with only a small community - it was absolutely impossible to avoid banning completely.

 

Just as many people here on LL, I've been (and still often am) pissed off because the Nexus was sluggish or people there sometimes are a pain in the ass, especially the spoiled brats who want to have all their wishes fulfilled instantly, or modders deeming themselves some kind of majesty with an utterly snotty tone to the "plebs", or the fucking NMM "ddos'ing" the site or what not.

 

But this time it's the mod author that earned the ban.

 

 

i will check this issue again in exactly a week from now on, and belive me, i play orcs for over 15 years, i f-ing hate mercy.

And I bet that he feels treated wrongfully and is crying in his pillows like a grown up chieftain.

 

nope, to be honest, i simply made one mistake. first, one night months ago i got drunk and cracked a gay joke in chat, which got me kicked. since i used the chats public form for increasing my skills that was quite stupid. even besides the joke being rather harmless, its seems that using the word "gay" gets you kickend in an instant. then, no "strike", seeing nothing on my profile, and some weeks later i took myself the time to write several pms to all the mods i knew. "we take care of it" my axx, they didnt even read them for about a month. then, you catch a admin, axeldominator, and ask him politely where the problem is, since no strike it seems like a random ban, guys get only 2 weeks for way more offensive stuff. axel now forwards my message to the biggest cornhole of all, dante. dante replies that he will look into it. 2 weeks later, nothing done, besides his  usual good dozen bans per day. me, now not anymore upset, but quite pissed, contacts dante again. by pm. and in this pm, i mention that i also send one to darkone because its hard for me to accept when i cover my messages in honey and still get ignored. now it seems he couldnt handle that i basically complained about him not doing anything in this matter, which led to a heated discussion, him digging up statements that ive made like months ago, ripping them out of context, putting them together in a way that makes me look like a bad person, and simply wasted me for bs.

 

im pretty sure that the main reason i got wasted was the fact that i didnt need to take some bs-comments from premium-suckers (which i reported like a good little nexus-sy), simply banned that one from my mods, and this is what they are afraid of since it undermines their goal of making some bucks. its a two class society, and i dont accept that, it showed me that its all about the monetary value to them, so basically i told him (dante) to go f himself. he even ignored that one for like 2 hours and just kicked me after i started taking my mods down.

 

end of story: the ban notices are manipulated. the "i play orcs for 15 years, i dont know mercy" was a joke. basically each line comes from another post, and some of those "offending posts" have been said like 2 months before my ban.

 

anyhow, f the nexus, now im here and on the alliance, enjoy my work if you like, or whatever, have some fun, and merry christmas

ps: and just in case youre really curious about it, i actually copied most of my conversation with dante, its online. i knew from the moment it started that this prick would twist my words to his advantage. if youre interested on this case, feel free to play sherlock holmes, i left more than enough breadcrumbs. i would wish dante impotence for x-mas, but im pretty sure this score is already settled.

 

edit: hey, fairness first, AxelDominator was awesome, reply nearly instantly, an admin that is efficient and nice reacting on a nice pm, didnt have much contact with him, but he seems nice. Dante was the bitch on this.

I would not cheer too much, if you got this guy banned and they read your posts here, it will only make it easier for them to identify you there under a different username. Just because you maybe hiding under proxy does not make it fool proof you know..

anyhow, i mainly wanted to find a nice place to leave my... lets call it, my "orcish legacy"... for now. i cant mod much for about 2 further months anyhow, after that i still had some smaller things in mind (skull helmets and retexes for both armors, some last tweaks on the weapons pack, a "slaughterfish-mace"... i also had some skull bows in work and about half another dozen things in mind. i will see, first its exams-season )

I'm one of those people who won't do anything evil unless i can see the pissed look on their faces in person. All of my work is open sourced so if anyone decided to modify it to have the nexus symbol i wouldn't say a thing about it.

photoshop? what for?

 

ddsconverter = grab the big dds file under textures of the mod, export to jpeg

gimp = open jpeg, copy and scale and turn the logo (http://media2.giga.de/2013/08/Nexus-Mod-Manager-Icon.png) where you can see the (half) smiley, when done, save jpeg.

ddsconverter = grab the jpeg, and convert it back to dds. replace the file on your game, done.

The photoshop add on for opening dds files always makes the textures to bright anyway. I prefer Ragna's method over opening it directly in photoshop.

what about some fus-ro-dah * 100 effect? putting effects on weapons is not my strength, i keep my gears clean so that gamers can enchant as they see fit... can anyone do that here?

Well, it's overpowered as fuck (like Nexus admins), so enchanting it with the major impact thing giant clubs have, or the fus-ro-da effect would be great. These people will die in one hit (like like Nexus members), so the Ban Hammer with a Nexus icon and a dramatic level of impact seems perfect, as there's no reason to enchant a weapon that "bans" people right away.

 

 

EDIT!! Ooooh, I know! Add a comic book styled word that appears on-screen when you hit them with it that says "BANNED!". Hahahahaha! XD
