Great Reginald I hope you enjoyed your break well, and colleagues from the group, passing to leave a hug, and very anxious to see this monumental work reliving the fallout4 that without it would be very empty with time.

Speaking of which these days I made a move with a somewhat interesting rereading of the game, completely departing from the original timeline of the game and most of the main characters, was very interesting. it's the set

I'm Running through these as well while I wait for Ivy release. Haven't met Roxie yes is is said to be kinda like ivy, Mod author even mentioned Ivy.

Afterward I started back to go kill Kellogg (again) and it wasn't the same with out Ivy. I missed her commentary and her snarking back at Kellogg on the PA. My wife even LOLed at her lines! EDIT (I forgot to say this) I reloaded the save and ran through the quest AGAIN just to have Ivy with me. You have forever changed FO4 for me. I still haven't played the DLC, waiting on my girl for that

quick question, while running those mods does your startup take ages to load before you get to the main menu?

Unsure at this point! But we are behind schedule for an end October release, that much is clear. Testing hasn't even started yet. :(

I don't use those mods, but my game takes a full minute and a half, before it gets to the main menu. ?

my machine here is average so it usually takes a while, and sometimes when I start a new game from scratch sometimes it takes about 10 minutes to get to that screen of the beginning of the first time, but ...
I realized that what weighs a lot in the game are those building mods, they weigh both at first and when you open the workshop,

already with Ivy or those three I mentioned above I didn't feel any difference, I'll pay attention and then comment

 It always has, I even have my FO4 installed on an SSD. I've just gotten used to it. Quest mods have not added to my load time

I am not intending, in any way, to speak for @ChicGeek here and I am sure she will come speak for herself at some point, but you guys and gals are getting ramped up and/or expressing a little too much worry. And while it is nice to see you all having that concern for her, and I know she will be touched to no end about that, it's really not helping anyone, least of all yourselves, to fixate and speculate on her absence. I too was concerned a couple of weeks back and personally reached out, IRL, to see if everything was fine and her response was that everything is okay, she is fine, all is well, nothing to worry about. More than this I simply cannot say (as in, I do not know).

 

All the same, carry on as if everything is good in life. She likely has a cat that she needs to keep in the bag for now, metaphorically speaking (ie: has IRL things to tend to). But one day down the road, she'll let the cat out and she will be back, of this I am more than sure. She is not the type of person to just give up or to abandon anyone or anything, least of all Ivy. She is fine and that comes directly from her. So relax, enjoy life and have faith & trust in her, that she will come back, because if she didn't say so, precisely and in no uncertain terms that she would never be back, then she will one day be back. Its that simple. Believe it. #Truth

 

I hope this helps to set your minds at ease, even if but a little. :) In the meantime, enjoy the beauty of this photo. :)

Thanks, Flashy. If anybody knows what's going on, as in how she is doing, it would be you. Upon reading your post, it gave me relief. And I want to say thank you for letting us know that she said she is fine & well and everything is okay.

I am not taking away from your preference on voice, but for me it's Chic all the way. She adds personality to Ivy, the warmth of a human voice over a sterile robotic voice that has the lack of feelings. And for me, I wouldn't alter Chic's voice. Her voice is lovely just the way it is.

Her voice is indeed lovely, and it suits the character well.  I'm just suggesting a bit of robotic distortion, not a lot, just a little to say that this is indeed a robot.  I think that would add to the level of immersion.

But Ivy is NOT a robot.  She is a Cyborg.  Look it up. 

She is part organic.

 

I like Chic's voice on her just as it is, because Ivy IS part human.  It helps preserve her "humanity" in my view.

But whatever floats your boat.  We all play different.

 

All I know is that Fallout 4 will never be the same without her.  What an amazing piece of work.

 

Hey Reginald!  Hope things are going well for you.  Despite you being nice enough to stop in during your "time out".

Kinda figured you'd just do a cold turkey from here as well.

It was the least I could do. I mean, I wanted to know all was okay for myself anyways and with where the commentary here was heading, I really felt obliged to break my abstinence from LL to say what I could to head it off before it got too spiraled into speculative absurdity (and I hope @ChicGeek will forgive me for speaking for her in that regard). But the truth is, I really don't know anything at all to be honest. I am every bit in the dark as everyone else. There are no more flares lighting my night sky than there are in anyone else's. Sadly, all I truly know for sure is that she is alive and that she says she is well. Beyond these two points, we all must simply wait for what may or may not come from Her in the future.
