Ya, the no-crash patch. I'll go look for that other version.

Edit: or not. Post me a link to the mod you're talking about.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64769?tab=files

It's the second optional file. "Real Flying - No Fall Damage"
When used instead of the base mod, fall damage is removed. It doesn't mess with the Bird wings either. It's the same mod but without falling to your death.

"Hey there, aviation enthusiasts!

Are you tired of your tits being held down by down, but don't want to tear bunches off your bunches (ouch!)?

Then you need this handy razor and shaving guidebook, perfected and written by a Selachii master!"

*ahem* In all seriousness, though, I made an alternative to the official bird titties patch that I, personally, think looks great. I used six cutouts from the sweet, sweet Selachii body textures with gradually increasing opacity to make a lovely blending effect. Diffuse, normal and specular (that's what they're called, right?) all included. With these "new" textures installed, the birds look like all the furries: fluff covering their puffs, but with nips poking out.

Edit addendum: I just realized that I should probably mention that I wouldn't mind (why would I?) if this were added to the official downloads alongside (or even in place of) the official bird titties patch.

Also, when BDBirds Female Slit? I tried rigging that one up myself by cutting chunks out of the bird body textures and pasting them over the human slit textures (because that's what they default to when using the normal BD female slit and they're unused anyway because Yiffy Age) but that one didn't work quite as well.

Maybe its me, but it keeps giving me an error when I try to unzip it.

Edit: Error code is 080004005 which seems to be windows saying its either damaged or missing. Will keep retrying to download the file to see.

Oops. I used zip format because I thought that would increase compatibility, but I guess that it didn't.

Here, this one was packed with winrar and not 7zip. Maybe that one will work? If it doesn't, you should just try 7zip.

gotta say i'm going to use an old version of this race because my current pc struggles with script heavy mods for skyrim and real flying mod wouldn't work on my old one which died and the one i am using now doesn't have the processor speed needed for that mod so could you make real flying an optional thing possibly and i found an alternative to animated dragon wings which adds feathered wings. i'll provide a link to that if you want.

(my pc doesn't meet the minimum specs according to steam, but that's because they made that measurement with the hi-res texturepacks which to a player coming from console version is a waste of RAM and mod slots for worse than default res textures.) if you want to know my current specs just ask.

General question, is this race compatible with just the flat-out vanilla female and male bodies (No wings, no UNP, no NSFW parts), or does it require a bodymod? Asking because my computer is lower-end and cannot handle the bodymods that well, and I've been looking for an ACTUAL bird race for YEARS.

No such thing. There's simply no way the SOS/UNP meshes themselves are too much for your rig to handle, because otherwise you wouldn't even be able to launch the game at all, let alone play; and if it's the 2k/4k textures that come with said body replacers that give you trouble instead, then your rig won't be able to handle this mod either because it includes textures in those resolutions anyway.

Still, to answer your question: body replacers are not a hard requirement for the mod, but without them there may be noticeable texture seams or gaps.

That's exactly the problem, the alternate meshes/animations of the bodymods make it to where the game WILL NOT launch. I've tested that several times over the years, the game engine (which lags normally on my PoS) will not boot.

What about the wings? They seem hardcoded in, and the wingmods DEF crash it. I was just wondering if it's at all possible to parse it down to vanilla so I can enjoy the race without having to reinvent my entire desktop. (I'm broke af)

The bodies will work with vanilla. Wings are a requirement. You could rip them out with a little TES5Edit work.

Thanks! I'll see if I can do that, then. Thanks for the responses, it's been very helpful!

EDIT: Got it to work for Vanilla, had to use the CK to remove the Real Flying esp requirement. (Done via creating a dummy esp file with the same name but no content.) Had to rip the guts outta Animated Wings, but I think it's good. I'll test it out, thanks for the advice guys!

Is there a Special Edition Compatible Version yet?

Yes and No. I made a beta conversion, a link is in the Op. Otherwise take the prerequisites using the SE versions if available, Add the Pharlan SE race mod for animations, and use the Cathedral Optimizer thingy at minimal settings on this mod.

Ay all; new to Loverslab so apologies for any errors or if I'm doing this wrong; but I'm playing on SSE and everything appears to be running as intended with one issue. Whenever I load into racemenu, all avian races are missing textures and/or have purple models, as seen here: https://images2.imgbox.com/ec/50/yEvVIuNC_o.jpg

Any way to fix?

Here is my LO by the by; using Nexus Mod Manager as well. Most recent version: http://imgbox.com/kCoh6Aha

1) From the description:

Special Edition Compatible

No

So don't exatcly expect it to work right away. Still, there's an SE port of an older version of the mod here: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/100188-bad-dogs-birds/?do=findComment&comment=2325743

Otherwise, try converting again, you messed up with the textures somehow.

2) Drop that outdated trainwreck of a manager wannabe that is NMM and use MO2 instead.

3) Get a new image host, that one looks like it's about to give me internet AIDS (why can't all NSFW ads be as nice and non-virus-y as the ones in E6?). Or just post the images as attachments on the LL post itself.

I'm working on an SE conversion now, as part of the Bats project. Hung up cleaning up the NPCs.

I still don't know enough about how RaceMenu works. I'd reeely like to have the presets work properly but right now it's random.

Posted

I haven't really gotten started on adding bats yet. I was converting to SE, found problems in the presets, and now I'm getting them right. But, good news, I'm figuring out my issues with racemenu.

  1. It turns out your preset cannot have a custom tint--it has to be one from the race or it won't show when it's selected in game.
  2. It turns out you can't use the same color twice in the tint list with two different intensities--the CK will show them both with the same intensity and if you pick the other intensity by hand, see #1.

Also too, CK has refused to run under MO since the last update so I put the mod files I need in the game folder and I'm liking it. Modding this way is way more convenient than hassling with MO.
