Grey Cloud Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Actually remembered to check the windmills as I approached Solitude. N'yess. On closer inspection. Who knows? Who cares? More LOD lunacy. The statue of Meridia may actually be the statue of Azura again. Directly below the inn icon on the compass bar, way, way in the background. We are in Dragonbridge. Is there any other statue between DB and Azura?

No, that would be the right direction for Azura. You can't really see Merida from DB at that angle, you would need to face more NE than E. That is a loooooong way off though.
Grey Cloud Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Still on the trail of the mysterious statue. Centre of image, just left of the Nightcaller Temple. If it stays where it is I should catch up with it tomorrow.
Grey Cloud Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 It was an epic slog battling against several lots of OBIS bandits and Enemy Plus Maneaters ? and wolves. Let us not forget the wolves. The wolves every 200 fucking yards wolves. Ta Da. The view from up there is most impressive but you should not be be able to see something the size of the statue from Dragonbridge.
Distortedrealms Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Oh those maneaters are a pain haha. Have you met the levelled up versions yet?

Some of them are over-sized and the females have missing textures on their armour (which I going to investigate shortly).
Distortedrealms Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I think I have older version than you that was not very balanced with like gnarly fire breathing man eaters haha. I like difficult enemies so I haven't updated yet. Some sensitive people complaining in the comments for a toned down version sadly.

We coming down the hill heading down to the shore when I saw a troll battling with a sabrecat. The troll killed the cat and its last swipe sent the cat flying. When I got down there to loot the cat it turned out to be some over-sized 'king of the sabrecats' type of thing. The missing texture is on the maneater coat but only the female version. My male character took one off a dead female maneater and it lookked okay in my inventory and when I dropped it. Don't know how to fix it as there is no meshes or textures folders. Those maneaters are obviously based on the cannibal wildings from GoT. In the meantime. My spider senses said Honeypopcorn. And my spider senses were correct. And then I walked into the Netch . . .

As it is a fantasy world, real distances are a bad comparison anyway. But when I am on nearby hillside mountain in look into the flat countryside, I can distinguish villages by pinpointing windmills or grain silos. Easily up to 50km if the weather permits it. Now I wonder if that would suit Skyrim ? At least it doesn't feel that bad to me.
Grey Cloud Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 From where I live I can see the Sun if the clouds permit it.

Reveal hidden contents that's because not even skyrim is there. if it was you would see something like this: Spoiler (only it would be 2X farther away because this is my max lod range at this time) also i can see the white gold tower from the top of the throat of the world.

MadMansGun Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 41 minutes ago, Grey Cloud said: Then where is that? Solstheim is NE of Skyrim is it not? Solstheim uses a different map & lod so none of the landmarks are there at all, "skyrim" is just a gray lifeless mesh, no snow or anything. (also Solstheim does not exist in skyrim's map & lod)

nemocdt Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Just found this on r/skyrimmods/ ?? OknataSkeltro 2 points·17 minutes ago Back when I was a dumbass newbie modder, I tried installing FNIS for cool new animations and I didn't do something right. I can't remember where exactly I went wrong, but I ended up with everyone t-posing. I didn't read the instructions well enough so I didn't know how to fix it, and I didn't want to reinstalled the game, so I just played the game anyways for 2 weeks. If you thought Skyrim's regular animations are stiff, imagine everyone floating around in a t-pose forever. I still have nightmares...

I was going to update not long ago but read that the author toned things down a lot because people were complaining it was unbalanced haha. I am curious about the new additions I will be missing out on though.
Distortedrealms Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Whatever left this floating giant corpse up there I don't want to meet. Quote

I can get some screenshots if you want. Edit: Just had a look at the change log and there doesn't seem to be any additions just a lot of reductions of things.
