It makes sense in that case.  Then I'd suggest providing a non-empty list with the mod, be it vanilla followers or 3DNPCs etc.

Not so simple.

As I said above vanilla followers aren't generally available until certain quests are completed. Hirelings (Jenassa etc) are on a different follower system and aren't supported.

Interesting Npcs has it's completely standalone follower system and as a result is completely incompatible.

Still, getting teleported feels weird, isn't it up to the player to find a follower ... ?

No. Not in towns. The toll doors in cities can force you to get a follower before leaving (minimum followers required). Unwalled towns don't have the luxury (because no walls, obviously).

I'm going to ask a strange question, but how fun is this mod in practice? Doesn't it get too punishing to be enjoyable fun? That's what put me away from a few mods on LL. If anyone wants to share their opinion on it you're welcome :D

Depends on how you derive fun.

I've always found the early game to be the most interesting. As you become more powerful I find the game becomes more dull as I start to just squash enemies like bugs.

Once I hit high level it's about as fun as tgm in console and run around handing everyone their asses with very little risk. Once the challenge goes so does the fun.

Strange, because this happened while entering Dragonsbridge, which has no walls :/

I'll see if I managed to set Gorr as a follower by forcing him into EFF

@Monoman1 Are potential followers always flagged that way in vanilla, or become that way after a particular quest etc? If it is only after a particular quest or other event then the escort thing could check for that flag, tag or keyword on a particular follower. Before performing whatever actions the escort function performs to the follower, that way are initial pre-created list could be supplied with vanilla followers included.

The mod wasn't adding the perk on start up. This is fixed now.

For now you can disable the perk, exit the mcm. Re-enter the mcm and enable and it should add the perk.

oh wow, this is an embarrassing case of "did you try turning it off and on?", really made me look like an ass there lol

but hey, it worked so nothing but love

there's a lot of options in the MCM, you can make this mod either a slight inconvenience or a real pain in the ass, or anything in between, it's up to you

Yes that's normal. No walls = force greet.

Walls = no need to force greet.

You can set followers required to zero if it bothers you.

They're not flagged in any specific way that I know of.
Take lydia. I think she's disabled until you kill the dragon. It'd be a bit odd for her to be force assigned to you and then later to appear in dragonsreach with her introduction. But as well as this I've no idea how quests/scripts will react to me fiddling about with followers before they are 'ready'.

I don't know if this mod has this option or other. But whenever i'm in town guard pokes me and says that i should'nt have any weapon. I don't have it equipped and they styl poke me and do some bad things to me. Is this from this mod, if yes then how can I disable it.

Go to the guard comments section, and turn off "weapons equipped", should fix the issue

I've played this game more years than I want to admit and this is one of the most flexible difficulty/immersion mods I've used. You can set it to be utterly punishing or just a taste of flavor.

Ok. But if that's the case then I would expect there to be errors in the log.

Are you sure this is the right log?

Papyrus.0.log is always the newest log.

Papyrus.1.log is the log from the last time you started the game and

Papyrus.2.log is the one before that and so on.

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but if I equip a weapon inside a town, guards will come to tell me to put away the weapon and they keep spamming this dialogue even if I drop the weapon.

Happening to me as well. Haven't tried messing with it yet but I'm on a new game on the newest update and the second I go into town I get one guard that rides my ass telling me to put my weapons away when I dont even have any in my inventory. They threaten me but dont actually do anything.

It was actually pretty hilarious, I had a enforcer send me to Windhelm for not having an escort and the Dawnstar guard literally teleported with me and is now following me all over Windhelm telling me to put my weapons away ?

Can't seem to reproduce any issues.

Weapon equipped -> get approached.

Empty hands -> no approach.

Try setting the toggle off, exit the menu, wait 1 second and turn it back on again.

There's a bug on new games where your weapons are flagged as drawn and you get an initial approach, told to 'put that away or else' and a slap on the ass. But I just thought "Meh, sets the tone nicely" :)

It stop correctly afterwards anyway.

Yeah still haven't really played with it but it only seems to be the first guard going berserk, like I cant move an inch w/o being force greeted over and over. I finally just "took care" of him and haven't had an issue since.
