Hi. I have an unusual (?) problem: I'm using AE and have DDi/DD/Cursed Devices all installed and working. Animations play, no CDT's, etc. However. Whenever I have a elbow/armbinder on (I haven't tested with other devices), either a DDx or a DDe version, when I get into an aggressive animation, the "change animation set" hotkey does NOT work. (I'm using O, and I tried rebinding it to a couple different keys also). I end the scene, take off the 'binder, and have another aggressive animation, with the same NPC, right then and there - and the "change animation set" hotkey works. End animation, put on a 'binder, another aggressive animation, the "change animation set" hotkey stops working. Wash rinse repeat. Throughout this entire time, all other sexlab hotkeys work (advance animation, reposition actors, etc). It's JUST the "change animation set" hotkey. Anyone have any ideas? (I just upgraded FSMP-Faster HDT to 1.40, no help. I'm using FNIS (I stopped using Nemesis)). I just have the ZAZ animations installed. Not using VR. Thanks!

The animation filter doesn't have an alternate animation to switch to for all of the tags needed for that event. There's a very limited set of animations included with DD, and it's not expandable by users. Adding in bound animations from slal packs doesn't work, because it's not in DD's list of 'approved' animations, so it doesn't know to use them.

 

Regarding this: "I'm using AE and have DDi/DD/Cursed Devices" - please tell me you haven't installed the standalone DDi on top of DD...

DD is an all in one installer that includes DDi. Installing DDi separately will do nothing but break your game.

 

If you haven't already, I'd recommend upgrading to DD 5.2beta6, I just finished the conversion today. Beta 6 can be found on the troubleshooting post. I missed beta 5 due to not being able to get online, but this are changes from beta 5 that may help you in some circumstances:

 

- Changed: StartValidDDAnimation() is now temporarily removing plugs from actors when they are not blocked by a chastity belt, so their presence will not block sex animations.
- Changed: The animation filter now hides devices much more aggressively if no valid animations can be found. This should prevent animations getting split up and/or actors being moved to solo animations in most cases.
- Changed: The animation filter can now hide plugs as another fallback when trying to set up a valid animation. The filter will still try to hide chastity belts first.

Oh, I completely understand. (Heh - sorry about the labels: I only have DDE, DD SE, and DCL installed. :))

 

Thing is, when I had a similar setup on my old computer with LE, the "change animation set" hotkey did work - with like the 5 'binder animations available. (missionary, doggy, oral, boobjob, cowgirl).

 

And in this AE edition, when you start and aggressive animation with a 'binder on, the computer randomly picks one of those 5 'binder animations each time I start one. So, since the computer already knows their is 5 possible animations (since it picks one randomly when it starts), the "change animation set" hotkey should switch between those 5.

 

And again, the "change animation set" hotkey did exactly that... in my previous LE setup. So I was surprised when it didn't work in this new AE edition. (Oh, and thanks for letting me know about the 5.2beta6...) So I assumed I messed something up in my new AE edition setup. So, do you know why it works under LE, and not under AE?

If your LE version was 4.3 or lower, the animation filter was different - you were able to completely disable it and therefore get more animations. In 5.x, kimy changed the animation filter so it can't be completely disabled. You can set it so that it hides/ignores some devices during the animation and get a few more possible animations that way but i don't think armbinders are one of those.

 

And 5 can be misleading. Armbinder and what other tags? You specified aggressive, and may also have vaginal/anal/oral blocked/available. If you have more than one device on it very quickly gets limited down to 1 or none. In the case of none, you end up doing a solo animation even in a defeat scenario where you're supposed to be a victim, as long as your arms are free. It sounds like with your combo of tags, it gets whittled down to one.

 

For the SE/AE conversion, I'm not changing any scripts related to the sex filters, and the animations are a straight 32bit to 64bit conversion with no edits. I'm keeping edits down to the bare minimum, so nothing you're talking about would work differently in LE or SE/AE, given the same versions.

 

You can repro the issue and attach your papyrus log and we can see if my assumption is right.

Here's a trimmed down description of what's going on:

 

I'm only wearing a single DD item, a armbinder. I use simple sexting and go up to a stationary NPC. I use the forced/rape option. I get a animation (one of the 5 - boobjob, missionary, oral, doggy, or cowgirl). I spam the "change animation set" hotkey. Nothing. Other hotkeys work (like advance scene). Animation finishes.

I go up to that same NPC and do the same thing. I get an animation (one of the 5). Again with spamming the "change animation set" hotkey. Again nothing. Animation finishes.

I use the MCM to remove the armbinder, go up to that same NPC, do the forced/rape option again. I spam the "change animation set" hotkey. The hotkey works.

In the .0 log, it looks like it's closed out while still loading the game. You have a lot of stack dumps in there, so things could have been delayed if you went right to reproing the issue instead of waiting a few minutes for all the scripts to load. Either way, I saw animations getting registered, I did not see a scene setup in the .0 log.

 

But I do see what you mean in the .1 log.

 

In the first 2 animations, I don't see "OnAnimationChange()" called. I assume this is pressing the O button to change the animation.

I do see it called 3 times after the armbinders is removed by DDe. At that point, you are not registered as a bound actor and DD's animation filter does not kick in.

 

What  version are you on?

If it's DD 5.1 or 5.2beta4 (or lower beta version), upgrade to DD 5.2beta6 and retest. There were more changes to the animation filter in beta 5.

If this is on DD 5.2beta6, take the papyrus.1.log file to the dev thread and post there for kimy to review. This is not something my conversion would have broken, and since it's occurring only while the DD animation filter is active, I assume it's not sexlab's fault either.

correctly, I DO need DD 5.2 beta 3BA Bodyslides v0.6, and DD SE 5.2 Beta 6, but I do NOT need SKSE 2.1.5 (1.6.353) AE DLL update for DD, correct? I don't wanna mess this up. Also, I use MO2. Do I need to learn how to use CAO (whatever that is?), or is CAO just for NMM? And I don't need to worry about DLL/CalienteTools folder copying since I'm using MO2?

The 3ba v0.6 bodyslides are included in the beta, there's been no update to them recently.

And no, AE is not required. The link to the beta on the troubleshooting post (the link you have) is already converted. You don't need to run it through CAO (cathedral assets optimizer aka CAO is a separate application that can convert files between SE and LE, pack/unpack BSAs, and do some texture resizing. It's used for converting mods between games mostly and has nothing to do with what mod manager you use).

 

All you need to get is the 5.2beta6 download and during the install select SE (skse 2.0.17 to 2.0.20) and the cbbe/3ba option.

 

Since you have MO2, install the beta as a new mod, don't overwrite your existing DD 5.1 install. Then just position the beta below your DD 5.1 install on the left side, enable 5.2 and disable 5.1. It should keep all the esps in the same plugin order if you enable/disable in that exact order. And by installing it as a new mod, you can switch back if you need/want to after testing. If you do roll back, just go back to a save before DD was upgraded.

 

What this will do is tell us if the bug is fixed or not already. (Although I could have sworn I was able to switch animations in 5.1...)

If it's not fixed, now is the opportunity to report it so it is fixed before 5.2 is fully released. This is the 'bug whacking' phase right now. :)

I'm not saying you need to continue playing with the beta, but this is a helpful data point since you're able to reproduce the issue easily.

 

Edit: Almost forgot. You can just do a straight upgrade from 5.1 to 5.2 since it's only a minor version change. You don't need to start a new game.

OK, got 5.2beta6, installed and ran it. Same thing. (And apparently, the "0" file is always made the most recent, so, the full test is the "1" file. I tried a re-reinstall of the beta, just to check, and that's why the "0" hasn't even finished the first animation, but I included it just for completeness. So the "1" file is the full test using 5.2beta6, and it did the same thing).

Oh, speaking of bugs - I used the same save as above, took off all DD, and went to the 2 pillars in whiterun (near the inn).

I lock myself in.

Someone comes along and says going to take advantage

my char then stands, pill disappears

he strips, pill reappears, my character goes back into the pill, but she's not aligned well with the pillar anymore (she was when she first entered) - the char is too far back - wrists and neck are behind the pillar, pillar is covering ears.

after he's done, pillar disappears again, he puts clothes back on and walks away - she goes back into pillar, but alignment is fine again - AND she has a new long sword!

 

(When I did this with DD on, all the above happened, EXCEPT - after he's done, the pillar does NOT come back, and she can still move around. However, she's still "attached" to the now-disappeared pillar. You can tell if you try to interact with the 2nd pillar.) The 0.log below was with the first scenario - without any DD on.

The misalignment one has been reported already. Not sure what's been done with it recently, but beta 6 was supposed to fix some of the contraptions stuff.

Getting new weapons is new to me though. I don't see where it was added to you in the log.

 

Please report both of the issues you saw on the dev thread, and attach the logs there too.

Hi, I built the devices in bodyslide but they not fitting properly. All my other armor fits snug. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I noticed now if I remove the armor it fits properly but has clipping when moving?

What version of DD?

What body are you using?

What preset are you using? Does the preset show up if you select one of the items that are clipping?

Try building one item that is clipping instead of a batch build. Make sure that the output is correct.

By this do you mean you are wearing DDs + an armor piece from vanilla/another mod, and if you remove the armor piece that isn't a DD then the DDs fit properly? If this is the case, it sounds like the sliders you have for DDs and other armors are for different bodies. They should all be either for 3BA, CBBE, or whatever body you're using. You can't mix and match them and expect them to fit.

 

Either way follow the advice in the previous comment and reply with information requested to troubleshoot. Make sure you have "build morphs" checked when you build, and also when you test the individual item make sure you have nothing else equipped.

Hey I'm using SSEEdit & am trying to disable the extra movement penalty on the iron ring slave boots (devious\expansion\ZariaBoot7_go.nif). 

 

Any idea how to? it goes way too slow with YPS fashion's high heel system enabled. (I've already disabled DD boots movement debuff in DD MCM, it does not effect those boots).

Could try removing the slow boots object effect in the armor addon for the boots. there's locked and unlocked versions, you'd need to do it for both.

Or if you're able to remove enchantments in game, that might also work.

Run bodyslide and build all the DD outfits. Make sure your output is going to the right place.
