Instantly fell in love with the sim you made, it was a year later when I found Nekopara and saw that she is a character there ? she was instantly recognisable ?

 

Thanks @Bronthion101 I enjoyed putting it together and feels like a big weight lifted now my file is updated! ?

Now I can focus on enjoying building the next lot I have lined up and moving forward! ?

I'm currently using a custom shader that was modified by a buddy and I've edited it a little bit too ?

Sat down and made some changes to Linnie's tattoos, creating a combined tatoo set to use where I grabbed some new ones from other sets and such. Mostly kept the old ones, but I replaced the one on her lower abdomen which was very low res and, in my opinion, didn't quite fit, also replaced the ones on her feet/ankles and added a new one (brass knuckles) on her right hand. I think I like the changes I've made.

It's Nyu! She's so cute.? I'll bet she just needs a hug (that's what those extra arms / vectors are for).???

@R-Lo You know how much I LOVE Elfen Lied & Lucy. I'm going to actually make a request of you, and ask for more Lucy pics in the future, if it's not an inconvenience.

So I've been testing out the new Strip Club feature for the Patreon release of WW. Despite encountering an issue where for some reason any custom sims I have in the game world can't be properly assigned as clients, forcing me to rely on pre-made Maxis sims and randomly generated ones (I've spoken to Turbo about it and it seems like he's got an idea about why this is and how to fix it), I've got to say it's working pretty well, even if it's a bit basic in terms of features at the moment. 


I'm also pretty happy with how well my Vanilla Unicorn strip club works for this. The fact that it has a pretty detailed backstage area and an employee entrance and such meant that it never really could work well as a normal nightclub, but as an owned and managed business this is actually proving quite useful.

I've locked the doors in red for anyone but employees, and I've also locked off the manager's office and the entrance to it for anyone but the manager himself, and with a fridge, a sink, a computer and a couch he can pretty much stay in the strip club for most of the day, really, even get somethign to eat while the club is open or just take a nap on the couch. The fact that the stage is accessed from the employee only section means that I don't need to use the force routing cheat and have an essentially blocked off stage to prevent clients from getting onto it and I get the dancers going backstage and then walking down the ramp when it's their turn to perform. Pretty neat, I think. Here's some pictures I grabbed of the club in operation. Kind of nice to be able to take these kinds of pictures without individually posing sims, though I look forward to being able to have my own sims as clients rather than these randos ?

I figured I'd ask here, because some people here know what they're doing with regards to this stuff. 

So I'm trying to add a new swatch to hairstyle for one of my sims, when I made her I wanted her to have somewhat light brown hair, but not the game's normal light brown, which I generally don't like, it's a bit too orange/red. So I ended up with gray and brown hair, which is closer to what I wanted, though I don't really like the grey in it, but back when I made her I figured I could live with it.

Now though I figured I'd fix this by trying to add new swatch with an edited texture, some light editing in GIMP gave me this which I think is pretty decent. Here's how it shows up in S4S to the left, as you can see it's different from the game's normal light brown. But then when I select the swatch in game it's just the normal light brown hair color.

Anyone know why this is? How can I get this to work? I only edited the diffuse texture. Is this why? Do I need to edit the others as well?

 

EDIT

 

nevermind, I got it working! I tried again, but this time creating a new swatch off the dark brown swatch (which was the one I edited) and replacing that texture with the new one. I think it turned out looking decent enough.

@mrrakkonn One thing I found out when trying to add hair/eyebrow swatches is that the swatch thumbnail color matters in this case, unlike for clothes and accessories. If I kept the exactly same thumbnail color, the new (recolored) swatch would not be shown in CAS at all. If I changed the color just a little bit (add one to its code, for example), it would be properly shown. This exception when it comes to the thumbnail color might be there because the game tries to use it to match the haircolors/eyebrows across multiple outfits (and thus it does not like multiple swatches using the same color code). At least that is my understanding. Maybe this was the initial cause of your issue? I like the new brown, it looks better to me too. ?

 

@Slick Clyde The glow looks pretty good in the pics, as does your elf! Would you mind sharing the updated eyes, please? I'd like to inspect the *.package to find out why my method was not working and if adding the glow required any other changes than importing the emission texture.

@erplederp Ah! That explains it! I actually did change the thumbnail color for my second try, thinking I might as well, but I didn't figure that was what caused it to work. Good to know for the future though!

 

I ended up adding the same hair color to a couple of more hairstyles so this girl can have a couple of different hairstyles dependent on outfit.

How did you fix the scales on the underside of the breasts problem? 
I must have missed that fix, or am i the only one with that problem on my mermaids?
