IMPORTANT NOTICE!

 

The Mechanist Quest refused to end properly. The Mechanist would turn hostile & there was no way to end the quest!!

 

So..........

 

1. I turned off AAF SEU.............Nope, still broken.

2. Turned off AAF RSE............Nope.

3. Turned off AAF Family Planning Enhanced.........Nope!

 

But then, I turned off AAF itself.........AND THE QUEST WAS WORKING AGAIN!!

 

So RSE is INNOCENT, at least this time, of ANY wrong doing!

 

?

 

Based on this proof, I must assume that yes, AAF does indeed break dialog somehow.

I'm not sure if this is a problem, or working as intended, but: whenever I trigger an animation, it's just two stages repeating over and over again. If I hit end, both characters just get up and get dressed, and there's no climax or overlay from the AAF patches. I've tried both Crazy's and Leito's anims, and the same is true for both sets.

It could be. It depends on the mods being used.

(In fact, someone is working on something like that already. I don't want to name names in case they aren't ready to announce it.)

 

Then someone who is just interested in adjusting/adding expressions can maybe add one or two of these files and rely on work previously done.

Yeah. The way its coded now is not forgiving. Maybe I should give a range. But, right now, if they are not at 0,0 rotation AAF will not show them.

It's possible. But, it would have to be quite a few. Like tens of thousands...

If you hit end twice it will do this. If you hit it once, it should finish the current animation loop and then play the ending sequence. Maybe you are hitting it more than once because it doesn't appear to immediately change on first press?

Are you using FF? Or FM? My experience is that Female/Male plays all 4 stages. Female/Female does just as you describe. Always has as far as I know. If that ain't it I got nothing. Heh.

It's specifically the Creation Club backpack, which I think uses Slot 52? And then the mod Visible Weapons, which uses several different biped slots.

Actually, yeah, I'm using FF. Now that I think about it,  I guess it makes sense that that's what would happen, and would make no sense for FF animations to lead to cum overlays.

Personally I'd like all four stages in both, but I can't code shit and these guys are as busy as hell putting out stuff for us to use for free. I ain't gonna complain.

I am disputing nothing, just giving my own info. I am playing a male main using AAF, AAFFPE and Just Business along with most of the animation packs and I just cruised through the Mechanist quest today no problems at all, I did however have Nick Valentine sit in the wrong chair and wont interview me after rescuing him as an odd, probably unrelated side note. Mechanist with the newest AAF though, no problems at all.

I've noticed quests you get immediately after turning in a quest sometimes dont trigger. just like the one you are talking about. turning in unlikely valentine starts getting a clue which wont trigger soemtimes as well as turning in getting a clue starts reunions. random quests also like entering the elevator in vault 75 sometimes dosent start the quest.

if you save before turing in those quests, just reload and they should trigger.

I've gotten stripping to work (mostly) for my female PC and every NPC I tried it on - by sorting load order.  Now, it seems that AAF remembers the outfit I was wearing when the game save first loaded - in this case a Cammy Battlesuit.  If I change outfits and initiate a scene, that outfit does not strip and Cammy Battlesuit is re-equipped when the scene ends. 

 

Does AAF poll to catch outfit changes - or is this perhaps an issue on my end?

No luck, he sat in the far chair and Ellie sat in his and neither will move. I have gone back a few times and tried various methods to make him get up but anything that actually makes him stand makes the town hostile....this is the beauty of being an altoholic and making new games often, bugs dont matter that much.

yeah but did you reload to a point right before you turned in unlikely valentine?  and sorry  not reload  you have to close and restart the game.

sometimes it takes a few restarts to get it to trigger  but it will

It checks when it first "sees" the actor. Usually when using the wizard. So, if you change your outfit after that, it can throw things off. That functionality needs to be worked on some. It's kind of tricky because each equipment check is a significant wait time and potential performance ding. So, it's not something I want to over-do.

Quest/dialogue issues are known. See the changelog reference in last release. Pretty sure it happens when quest alias population isn't specific enough and captures a "deleted but not really deleted" body double in place of the PC. Next release has further adjustments to try to fix that.

I turned everything back on, and now I keep getting errors from AAF saying "Actor Not Found"..........

 

After sex, I can't move!

 

?

 

WTF? It's the same stuff I just had running in a previous save!

I wrote at the Nexus forums a couple of days ago that i can't seem to get this to work but recived no anwser, there seems to be more activity here though. Im just gonna copy what i wrote there;

 

I freshly reinstalled the game and deleted all my other mods (i even reinstalled NMM just incase there were some left over mods). After reinstalling i installed the newest F4SE (1_10_98) and the newest Looksmenu. And after which i tried installing AAF with NMM and that didnt work. So i tried manualy installing if maybe that was the problem, nope still nothing. I tried using the debug mode by changing the xml but nothing showed up (no debug text, nothing). I have also tried changeing the bind key from something else than home and everything in between. There seem to be no way to getting it to work. Any suggestions on things i have not tried would be appriciated.

Oh and also i tried staring a new game multiple times JUST to make sure that its not a save game problem but that did nothing to make it work.

Roaming around files, I realised there're 2 folders in Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Sliders. AAF and CBBE.

 

So it occured to my mind to change the looksmenu sliders I've altered to default ( Breast size and cleavage). Problem solved.

 

Is it a known issue or just a thing with my game?

I am not seeing a version number but I downloaded on the 15th and apparently a patch came out on the 16th so I was using 80.

Ahh I see, nope. I messed with it for a while, left and came back later to see if Nick and Ellie had stood up. I will keep your idea in mind for next time though, thanks.

You changed your character, so it stands to reason that Looksmenu & Bodyslide would need to be reset as well.

Everything's working on my end, but I manually install everything, then check mark it in NMM........Never had any problems doing that.

Maybe you didn't install the F4SE scripts.

I finnaly got it to work, i was using a outdated version on NMM and after that i installed it with MO2 and now it works like a charm.

The Mechanist has broken two times I recall long before AAF was a thing even imagined.  It may factor in yes, but The Mechanist had problems before. Be it because of mods or otherwise.  I specifically recall that quest because it was soooo fubar to end it those times.
