Works fine. There is nothing in SL Romance that would break in the "latest version of Skyrim AE" whatever that is. It's just an esp file and some scripts. Must be something on your side.

You start a scene quick (MUCH faster than with the desire spells), choose the tag, and you're off to the races. I gather that you're referring to a built in function in Sexlab, and this mod is  using UIExtensions (well, the one version), but I wouldn't say it's completely forgotten about.

I think it is way more likely you messed up its installation, or the installation of any of those other mods.

I do not recall ever having problems with it no matter which version of the game i was using it with at any given time, and now i am on 1.6.1179.

IF i ever had a problem, it had to be really insignificant if i can't even remember it.

Easiest way to fuck ones game while blaming SSE Engine Fixes is to screw its configuration (and/or forget to reset it after update/upgrade if already existed) - one such possibly bad edit would be set FormCaching to false (as some always helpful wisemen suggests as a solution/workaround for something fucked up anyway due to whole different reasons) - then all kind of weird things will happen to various mods (and game itself if I'm not mistaken).

I can't speak to your computer or mod setup, but I've been using Vortex to install skse since SSE 1.6.64, maybe earlier. I haven't had any problems. One of the bigger issues I've seen with skse has to do with accidentally dl'ing the wrong skse version.

 

I'm not saying you didn't read the directions, I believe you when you said you did. And I know how frustrating it is to spend hours installing and tweaking mods only to realize things aren't working. I have the scrapped pt's to prove it, lol. What helps me is to calm down, relax my mind, and come back to it with fresh eyes. Sometimes I see something in the directions that I missed or misinterpreted the first time. It happens to all of us.

Just my two cents since I don't post often on here. Engine Fixes works great, no issues with default settings. It will not work if you have another Achivement mod enabled or if you mess with settings you dont understand. 

 

Also, we all use about 10 enabling mods, like Engine Fixes, that make modding at this level possible and more enjoyable. So we dont want to give the authors that write the mods we all rely on any unnecesary shit. The next time an update is forced out I want those authors to be motivated about updating their mods so we all dont have to wait 3 months for it to happen. 

 

Also, it really helps to talk in specifics and in detail when talking about technical issues, for instance: this is the error I got or, here's a crash log or, the game only crashes when I reach for the lube.

This is actually an issue in the way the game registers scripts and it can be fixed by rearranging your loadorder (I didn't try the method proposed by alex77r4 of starting a new game without closing the game). There's no universal fix because it can be caused by different mod interactions so you must pinpoint the problematic plugins and adjust your loadorder accordingly. I experienced this bug recently while testing DD NG, SLU+ and some other mods. Others have experienced this with a similar set of mods or different ones.

Showing where? If it's SL animations I assume you were using SLAL? And the animation packs appear in the SLAL MCM unless... you have the wrong or no version of JContainers installed. Or they were listed in there but couldn't be started by the framework?

Yes One Drive can fuck up some folders and yes it's absolutely recommended to not use it in folders the game or mods use. It's like saying don't install your games or modding programs in ProgramFiles, it can cause issues, some people know this and assume it's common knowledge, and yet there must be thousands of cases where this isn't common knowledge or not even on the radar of the user. Ignorance is bliss.

No such thing. You're just extrapolating your own issue to a mod used by hundreds of thousands of users and say "yeah this must be it". It very likely was something else and you didn't even notice what, happens when we're not methodical or precise about troubleshooting.

If this is the wrong thread please let me know. I've been trying to get creature animations to work for a long time, human on human NPC animations work just fine. When I use SL Matchmaker a human and creature seem to attempt animating (they line up as if an animation were to about to play). But no animatioon ends up playing. I check Creature Framework and the only animation options that appear for creatures is MNC (Anubs doesnt appear as an option). I reload and registered the animations I have, I reset all the mods I think are involved, I double checked all the settings so nothing related to creatures is disabled. I also tried turning off Anubs and just running MNC and it doesnt work. Any ideas what to check next?

make sure check box for creature animations in sexlab is done

not sexlab related but i got rid of ENB and run community shaders and that allowed me to get rid of lux and all its patches also made the night and interiors see able and with its addon's impressive i like it far more than ENB  and easy to work with

Yes Creature Animations is on and Match Creature gender is off (read that this should be off) I looked around for more settings and didnt see any that would be affecting this

FNIS creatures pack is installed?  You need it for creature animations, even when using a FNIS replacer. 

 

Try the creature animation troubleshoot section from MNC.

I have the creatures pack installed and am using Pandora (quick search on MNC it seemed okay to use).
In 'Animation Troubleshooting' I tried all the recommended steps (except Step 7, I wasn't able to find the equivalent in Pandora).

Update:

In the MNC topic someone suggested running FNIS first to 'enable' Creature Pack, then using Pandora from that point on. It seems to have done the trick for adding MNC animations, but Anubs animations still won't show up. I dont see them as an option in Creature Framework despite performing the re-register steps on SL Animation Loader, and on Creature Framework. The Anubs animations for humans and creatures show up in Animation Loader and they animations load for human v human, so I know the pack is loaded in.
