Hello, I have a few questions.
1. How to set up Sexlab correctly?
Problems:
1a. Some animations work unevenly. For example, there is an animation of a girl sitting almost on a twine and sucking a dick but the dick does not get into the girl's mouth. More often the guy's dick is below the girl's chin.
2a. I installed Gentleman without using SOS. Because I see many people writing that SOS causes a lot of problems. But Gentleman also has problems. It happens when a girl has to suck a dick but it sticks up vertically not horizontally.
Please, if there are people who care, give advice. How to set it all up correctly. It's one thing to download the mod and another thing to set it up correctly. What are the best animations to set up for a sexlab without unnecessary things?

I'm a bit confused about the Behavior Engine choices.

Back in the day there was just FNIS, but now there's Nemesis and Pandora going around. Should I just be using all 3? Just one? Which?

Thanks.

I recommend Pandora. You don't need FNIS or Nemesis with it.

That's not entirely true - except if one does not care about (some) things not working. I won't explain what has been already nicely explained (over and over) in details in Tech Support section by @traison .

TL;DR: While you're technically correct, you don't need FNIS when using Pandora, there's benefits to having both installed and in some cases it's required by a 3rd party mod.

The thing with Pandora is that it includes the FNIS plugin, but not the FNIS scripts. This creates a few problems:

  1. Any mod checking for the existence of FNIS by looking for its plugin is going to be confused.
  2. SL checks for the FNIS scripts, but it might work without them as it only seems to be interested in version info from the FNIS API. It will throw some errors.
  3. XPMSE (depending on install settings) requires FNIS scripts. If they're missing it will spam the Papyrus log with errors and most likely won't work as designed.

I would recommend having FNIS installed when using Pandora, not just for the scripts, but also because Pandora does not report issues with FNIS mods. You'll eventually need to rebuild behaviour files with FNIS just to test that everything in FNIS-land is OK. FNIS is also a great tool to test issues with Pandora's behaviour files, since FNIS is *still* the only reliable behaviour file generator. Pandora is getting there though.

I'll also add, since this seems to cause some confusion, that having FNIS installed is not the same as using behaviour files made by FNIS. You also don't need to juggle mod output folders when using FNIS/Pandora as they both write to the same files. You can freely bounce between FNIS and Pandora without removing files or folders inbetween.

@icelandia I just use FNIS. It does what I want. I admit it's been awhile since I researched the other 2. I'm glad to see the information about Pandora and I might look into it again at some point. I'm also not using any mods that require Pandora over FNIS. I may be wrong, but I thought Nemesis development was stopped? Anyway, when I looked at it before it didn't have all the features of FNIS and I wasn't interested in any of the work arounds.

Just my two cents.

I haven't noticed this and will definitely test.  A question: which FNIS.esp should be used - the one from Pandora or the one from FNIS?

Not checked, I've assumed they're the same. Turns out they're not.

The Pandora plugin has been completely gutted, it contains nothing but the HEDR. As long as no plugin is looking for any of the deleted records, either plugin would work. Personally I'm using the one from FNIS because it makes more sense to me to use the plugin from the same mod that provides the scripts.

You may also want to change the Pandora install directory from Data\ to Data\Pandora\, otherwise Pandora explodes into the Data directory causing a mess. This automatically moves its FNIS plugin out of reach: Data\Pandora\FNIS.esp.

Having come a long way from Skyrim Legendary to today. I can only say one thing. FNIS was a legend, it all started with it and it's already history. I thank the people who created FNIS because it was the glorious times of sex mods. I adore those glorious times because it all started then. Then there was Nemesis but I didn't like it too many problems. And finally the epic Pandora appeared which made a real revolution changed everything. I love you Pandora. That's what I can say. I also express my gratitude to all the brave people who create sex mods. I express my gratitude to the legendary website loverslab. Your creativity makes life cool!
