Skyrim version is 1.6.342.0.8, SKSE version is SKSE64 2.1.4, SL version is the last one, 163.7. I'm almost sure it's caused by the newest version of Skyrim SE, but I didn't upgrade it, I simply decided to download SE right now from Steam. Is there any way how to fix it or any patch in development? Thanks! Did you download Address Library for SKSE plugins - AIO AE?

It will run when it needs to (when you install/remove/update animations), and won't when it shouldn't. This action will happen during the Deploy step. It isn't mandatory to run FNIS via Vortex's full integration, but it will result in a MUCH easier user experience if you do. At a minimum, get FNIS working in Vortex with the integration method, and then you can disable integration go into Settings and disable "Run FNIS on Deployment Event" and instead run it manually via the FNIS button in Vortex. Also, don't forget to configure FNIS from within Vortex (gear icon in the top menu in MODS view). While it is perhaps easier to get started using Vortex than some other alternatives, it still has procedural requirements that need to be followed to install things correctly and successfully. There is a built-in Knowledge Base option on the left menu. You should start with Getting Started, but you can try jumping to the Tools Setup subsection instead. Here is a direct link you can view in a browser vs. inside the Vortex UI. Same page. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Category:Vortex I noticed some of the KB info is a little dated. Something that stood out as needing update was references to "dinput" as a mod type. That was renamed to or replace by "Engine Injector" AFAICT. ENB is another optional mod type. Not sure if there is any functional difference between Engine Injector and ENB. I simply use the one that matches most what I'm trying to do. If I'm installing something in the game application folder that is an ENB, I use ENB, otherwise I use Engine Injector. Both allow at least some degree of deployment access to the main game folder containing the game application files. The ENB/Engine Injector option has to be configured on a mod by mod basis. The default mode is always to install mods to Data. While systems like FapAttack Wabbajack and Nexus Mods new Collection system have the potential to reduce the pain threshold on modding, they probably aren't going to be riding the bleeding edge of an update curve like you and others are trying to do now with Anniversary Edition...especially while Bethesda still has pending updates about to be released. My advice to you is the same I just gave above. Downgrade back to 1.5.97, with all of its requirements, and wait this mess out. Edited December 26, 2021 by 4nk8r

4nk8r Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 @Vyxenne I've been considering posting a separate Heretic's Guide to Modding thread. Since we both don't use Vortex in the same way, maybe when I do finally get around to doing this you'll drop in to contribute a more purist's route than the one I'm bound to describe? My way is going to include a lot of off-label usage in how to turn the entire game install into a series of self-contained mods so you never have to worry ever again about an update messing things up, using Wrye Bash for drag drop and savegame/load order curation instead of Vortex's interdependency method, auto-sort, etc.
perrymwt Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 I'm going to be a bit weird here and report a problem that has nothing to do with AE or mod managers. When my PC starts sex in a city, they've pretty much alwasy dropped down to the false ground underneath, but recovered to the real ground level. It was an annoyance, but something I could live with. With the latest 1.5.97 version however, my PC will drop down to the false ground, but stay there. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be bothersome. I know that I can simply fast travel to the city entrance, but I'd like a solution. Is anybody else having this problem? Thanks.

Have you noticed any pattern with which animations suffer from this, or is it random and sometimes the same animations are fine? I remember references to animation-specific alignment issues with some older animations, but I don't remember which author's it was. This might be what you're experiencing.
LesboIsBesto Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Is it possible for SexLab to run slow if my GPU is being ran up really high by my environment/graphics mods/settings? Am not certain at this point anymore if it was running like this before I added ^those mods, but SexLab SE has consistently ran slower than LE, despite my SE having less total mods & less script heavy mods. I even recently cleaned & reinstalled it after switching from Beta 9 to the full version (all of this is pre AE btw) & it made no difference in performance. To clarify what I mean by SexLab running slow, i mean the animation tab in the MCM is less responsive (even with no extra animation packs installed), the game responds to my hotkey usage very obviously slower than LE's SexLab, & it in turn is effecting other SexLab mods. Defeat & Matchmaker take far longer to start scenes than in LE & in locations where the FPS dips to at least 50, all of these slower processes get even slower. My FPS in LE could dip to the 30s & 40s in specific spots in Falkreath & these mods would still run faster than SE as if the FPS is still 60. My Skyrim LE & SE both use more or less the exact same environment/graphic mods (status & quality of SE ports notwithstanding), & my GPU runs 30-40% less high than SE on average while my CPU runs the same for both games. Not sure what I need to provide to show what's causing this performance loss. Tried Papyrus logs in a different thread & they were cluttered by mods I long since tested as disabled & uninstalled with no change in performance. Only other thing I can think of is my mod manager's use of virtual files which no one has been able to definitively tell me whether or not that makes an actionable difference, same with having the mod manager & game on different storage drives. Any suggestions as to what I can do or what I should provide for more info is appreciated.

Skyrim and all modding tools must be installed outside of Program Files and other protected areas of the file system. This is not optional. Exclusions must be added to any antivirus app for the game folder, any folders containing modding tools, and the MO2 instance folder or Vortex staging folder. This is not optional, either. 1

This includes Program Files, Program Files (86), Desktop, Documents, Downloads, etc. Create your own folders, preferably in the root of a drive for shorter paths. After creating them, and before installing anything in them, add them to the AV app exclusions. This is a YT playlist guide on modding Skyrim SE using Mod Organizer 2. It will help avoid the common early mistakes that can lead to serious issues down the line. It has a video specifically on clean install locations for Skyrim.

I'm going to steal it for mine Thanks- I just did that, but the embedded video isn't embedded any more, just appears as a link. Maybe it'll resolve itself over the next few days... I remember references to animation-specific alignment issues with some older animations, but I don't remember which author's it was. This might be what you're experiencing. Not really. It appears to happen most often with creatures, but happens with humans as well. The farther down the false ground is, the more likely it is that my PC gets trapped on that level though. Could be a timing issue, I guess.
pascha237 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 (edited) Hotkeyes in Sexlab AE dont work on me, using latest updates Whenever I assign a key, it doesnt assign it despite saying it. When I exit, the start screen starts flashing whenever I press any button HELP, I asked this again. Is there not any way for me to remap the keys to change the hotkeys!
