That's the DLL file of the PapyrusUtil.

It seems that file is not in the mod anymore. I've looked at the file contents on nexus and there are storageutil.pex and .psc in the folders and subfolders but in /skse/plugins there is only papyrusutil.dll which is the only dll in that mod

Edit: I've looked at the contents of older versions of the mod. There is no storageutil.dll anywhere, only papyrusutil.dll

Edit2: It seems a good oldfashioned PC-restart solved the problem.

StorageUtil.dll is the filename from Skyrim LE. This thread if for Skyrim SE/AE, and so needs the more up to date PapyrusUtil.dll instead.  If you have something telling you to get StorageUtil.dll and are on Skryim SE/AE, you are using an outdated mod.

Hi all,

just been updating and rebuilding my mods on a new comp with the new AE update and everything ive done seems to have installed and runs correctly (T Pose issues resolved quickly this time thankfully) and i cant see any conflicts now but i keep getting this error message and i cant run the install from the mod menu. ive tried uninstalling sexlab and installing different versions to effect and looking back at previous mentions of this error i cant see another way of resolving it.

does anyone know what is causing this issue?

I am encountering this error as well.

I have the same issue as above, and the SexLabUtil, dll is in the folder  as the error suggests.

Edit: I'm a moron, or i don't know, for some reason the SE version got installed even though i downloaded AE, it says AE in vortex and now everything works.

I even booted with the bare minimum that SL requires and I still get this message. There was a thread a few years back it looks where someone had a similar issue, which they had resolved via verifying the games integrity through steam then deleting all saves in steam. That had failed to work for me.

"I've got this error message telling me I have the wrong version installed... What could it possibly mean?"

I like that four-stack of users with the same error message, and the last one figuring it out.

No need to be a cunt about it. It's an easy mistake to make.

Basically, the newest versions of Special Edition won't be compatible with the SE sexlabframework, but they ARE with the AE version, This also means you need the AE version of the Address Library for SKSE.

Yeah, we're cunts (again).  Why would anyone be expected to read any of the previous pages/posts in this thread?  So much text..330 pages...ain't nobody got time for that.  No way somebody before you had this same issue, anyway, right?  I mean...if you'd even read back 1 page...page 229...you have found all the info you needed.  Nope.  Not you (and so many others like you).  Yep.  We're the entitled ones, not you.  Sorry for not noticing sooner.

Having a slight issue, I just got back into skyrim after about a yr off and I'm having issue with sexlabs, I got all the prereq as usually and it loads up fine but when I'm in the game it will not install.

Any idea's would be helpful.

I reloaded all prereq but still does the dame thing.

I have skyrim SE

ok ran into a strange problem which results in a CTD every time, Skyrim AE is installing part of SLF before you hit the install button resulting in a CTD when you do install it, this seems to happen after a character reload if SLF isnt installed on creation of character, i have to delete yet another character to test more "might end up abandoning skyrim cause of its new bugs"

Serious suggestion.  Roll back to SSE 1.5.97 / SKSE64 2.0.20 and stay there.  Everything works.  There is no reason to be messing with AE binaries right now.  Bethesda even has an unpublished update lingering out for the last 3 weeks that really should have been released to the public already.  Maybe it hasn't had enough testing due to the holidays.  Regardless, this SKSE64 shit show is liable to start over again very soon and your efforts updating will have been wasted.

ya i just confirmed the bug its skyrim AE causing it, the workaround is installing SLF on character creation and check the console key info if either read as 16401/16401 while the other is 0/16401 its going to CTD this so far is caused on load of a save without installing SLF on chargen again its AE it self causing this not SLF also use replacers for every male and female armor in AE they all bugged also and cause mesh error CTD's at random times, the whiterun stables freeze and ctd is back which is also a mesh issue, the wraithgaurd DLC added mod has a navmesh CTD in it, a fix for this is on nexus the navmesh error is caused by the esl extention on an ESM it seems, dont try to remove the esl flag that will only cause more bugs lol
