[mod] [Stellaris] Make Space Sexy Again

Unfortunately I haven't had the time/energy to actually fix MASSA since stellaris had its last major update, so I'm not surprised that people are seeing a lot of funkiness going on. If you feel that events are firing too often I suggest you check the policies for your country. The mod adds one that forces an extra 2 year cooldown (I think, its been quite a while since I've done anything with MASSA so I could have specifics remembered slightly incorrectly) on a good chunk of the events.

I won't be updating MASSA until paradox releases its next big update for Stellaris, cause.... let's be honest, we all know it'll break MASSA hard anyways. So once that update is live and I can see what changes it'll actually bring I'll start working on MASSA again.

I am always open to ideas for events, especially if you can find pics to go along with them. I know I've previously mentioned how big a deal finding good pics is for this mod. I would say AT LEAST 40% of the time spent working on MASSA has actually been looking for images. Realistically its closer to 70% since a good chunk of my event ideas have been formed only after I found a good image. So anything you guys can do to help brainstorm and find images will be a significant help.

Where would you liek images to be suggested?

ok so after reviewing at planet side. changes for next update, I got this idea.

Darkspleen does it look like you would able to make the red light district work in one of those building slots? If so could we not have that create job slots for each tier of society. (I use the term cast to make it easier) It would like this.

number of jobs

ruling cast - 1 -  party girls

specialist cast - 2 - escorts

workers cast -3 - prostitutes

slave cast  -4 - sex slaves

there also an issue of crime triggering certain events. I would like to see (if possible rape events) due to low or high crime.

We know basically nothing about how the new system works, or what parts of it will be hard coded. It should be fairly easy to add the red-light district as a district that functions as an upgraded, or parallel Entertainment district. As for your second question, in theory it may be possible to add those as additional districts for each tier, but we should probably wait until release before making requests. However, assuming the Districts function similarly to current buildings, and we wouldn't need to mess with the entire UI to get everything working (again, we just don't know yet) what you're suggesting is actually pretty simple; you should try making a building or two on your own. There's a Stellaris Sexy Modding Discord somewhere in this thread, if you need help. The more the merrier!  :D

Probably here so everyone has an idea of what's going on.

Honestly I'm not even going to pretend to have any idea of what I will and won't be able to do with the upcoming update till after its been live for a few days (at least).

Honestly I don't care. Spoilers I guess?

And I'm right there with you with the whole display thing. I spent hours trying to figure out how to make a different window for events (like has been done for CK2) before giving up and just going with the diplomatic window instead.

Maybe if you have more time again? I imagine one day he code will be cracked.

Also, just came to my head due to remembering an event (No idea if its vanilla or modded.)

But it would be neat to see some sort of event with various sexual options you can go through that have certain effects at the end, that would be more complicated however.

Edit: Would it be possible to make an event that requires some for of immigration? (Migration treaties, and one of their pops on a planet you own. (I imagine this will be easier to implement with the coming patch.))

I've had requests for events that have multiple possible outcomes from the same selected option (not sure if this is specifically what you mean) and its been on my todo list. Honestly its not difficult to do that sort of thing (even for larger event chains), just a bit more planning and time intensive, so while I'll probably do things like that going forward I probably won't rework previous events unless they are broken somehow.

As for requiring immigration requirements: Probably? I have a fair idea of how I would do it, it would just sort of be a pain in the ass to do. I have a set of events in MASSA already that only fires when you and/or a neighbor has specific prostitution policies in place (I'm fairly certain a previous game update broke it though).

It is that way for the mods that are not published at the workshop. When a mod is sparking interest or gain a following there are ... persons that are uploading it onto the workshop.

They defend this action to themselves as "public service" and "convenience sake".

Sadly Valve seems to only take action in three occasions.

  • When the actual mod creator reaches out to them.
  • When there are a multitude of complains from users.
  • When a moderator takes a look at it and finds adult stuff.

Since moderators for the workshop are rare and "a multitude" starts at several dozen only the first is somewhat viable.

Even more deplorable are the various "mod archives" around the internet that are "saving" mods to their website for "security reasons".

Most of these sites run several ads or sell premium to not see ads.

For all intents and purposes they steal mods and directly profit of them.

The thing is, adult mods are not aloud on steam, thas why people upload to nexus and such, but recently steams been coming out of its shell and are now allowing some adult content. If you do see a upload of this on steam, report it as stolen and as inappropriate content or whatever steam has. Btw, really love the mod, makes stellaris feel more realistic... expet for when a friend try's to play stellaris on your pc not knowing what mods you have... awkward conversation... but they asked me to find some good nude and sluty outfits for fallout so everything was alright.

As soon as a moderator finds adult content in a workshop upload (regardless whether it is an original mod, stolen mod or just a screenshot) it will be deleted.

But there are far to few moderators to take a closer look on more than a few things. Usually they are content with checking the description page and glancing over the last few comments ...

Don't let the presence of somewhat sexy content on steam fool you. Valve is an american company and that means blood, splatter, gore, weapons ... are okay but even the notion of an uncovered female nipple is cause for outcry, mayhem and the ban hammer.

That even takes priority over stolen content. So whenever someone finds such an upload onto the workshop s/he should report it as "sexual content" instead of simply "stolen mod" to get a more swift action.

So I can safely report the stolen mods as adult content without it causing any issues here???

Oh absolutely. Steam has no power here. The only thing they can do is tear down those mods off the workshop. You're safe to report away.

so like. . . .is this mod just dead or what?

Yes, the mod is dead. It's one of the rules of the Internetâ„¢: "Once a mod has not been updated for a whole week, it is officially dead, with no chance of revival."

That being said, you are now finally free to go, no longer bound to wait for an update. Have you been outside recently? I heard it's good for the skin.

Depends.

I personally wouldn't label "the outside" as "good for the skin" in certain industrial areas.

And when someone has allergies i.e. "nature hates you" rural areas either.
