I have a suggestion:

as Vortex probably will become the mod manager of choice once it's finished, how about setting up a Vortex extension to check the mod versions of LL mods, similar to the feature on the Nexus?

They already provide a Client library for connecting to a mod meta data server, so at least the clientside wouldn't be too complicated. I just don't know if there's a useful way to set up a meta data server

- Youtube integration no longer works, why?

- I can't see the download numbers of attachments next to files... Going into the profile is quite a pain...

- The site mostly does not work on my mobile devices..

- Download and attachment management is a nightmare compared to the old site. Attachments stick to posts, cannot be changed or deleted often...

I may be doing something wrong. But, the search bar never seems to find the results Im after despite matching terms. For example, trying to find shadeanimators fallout 4 animation kit. If I enter "shadeanimator kit" in search it doesnt find the thread/download...

There has been something on my mind about LL for a moment now (and it's not about bbcode, no :classic_angel:) : there's a thread around explaining how people often came for the mods, then started to share, discuss, and then created their own content. I liked to think those people were seeing this site as a community, and not just as a porn site, despite adult themes and content being common to both. A place where we could share freely about fantasies, and respect the ones of others. A line was always being drawn by the moderators (including Ashal recently about bestiality) between what is acceptable (fantasies), and what is not (applying them to IRL).

After quite a moment, I asked if there was an other way than Patreon to support the site, like paypal, as I wanted to make a one time move of support. As I got no response, I understood that the privacy of administrators had probably something to do with it, as Paypal is real name buyer/donator to real name receiver. Thought Patreon might have the same privacy issue though, but meh, I didn't insist. Then I saw the ads at the top and the bottom of the pages, and realized that my using the site, and having people view my blog was in itself a way to support LL. Those ads were at 99% if not 100% about flash games, and thus somehow respecting the "fantasy" policy of the site. No patreon, no Paypal, no excessive intrusion and still allowing monetary support, seemed a good compromise.

But then a few months ago, I noticed another kind of ads : video ones, and no fantasy at all, but real, full frontal and sometimes beastly porn. And not anymore at the top/bottom of the site, but right in the middle of forum's threads, in-between the posts themselves. Pure porn, 100% real, with intrusive moving bits right in the middle of the reads. No more fantasy/real life moderated cross line, but pure monetizing.

If I am fooling myself about this site not being a simple porn site, then those mid-screen ads are merely a way to maximize monetizing. It's only a matter of improving a mere cash cow's profitability and there's no problem.

But if you admins do also see this site as a community, maybe making it one step closer to a simple porn site isn't the best idea ? Maybe it's possible then to reconsider those additional (thirds per page) adds ? Maybe restricting those mid-screen ads to anonymous users/unregistered users only would be a better compromise, just like most forums do ?

Anyway, thanks for you attention. Smiley_jap_HFR.gif

Ads are what are keeping this site alive.

And of course we are a modding community, and of course specialized on adult themes (but not only.)

The ads provider for sites like us are very limited, and are the third parties providing Ads that select the actual ads. But in case an Ad is not good it can be reported.

But for sure for non-supporters there will be ads. Or we need to close because of lack of money to pay for the servers and for Ashal. (All moderators work for free and without a monetary compensation.)

I understand that. I was not suggesting to shut down the ads though, but rather to modulate ads pressure in a comparable way to what similar size/vocation sites do. And maybe, open new financial supporting ways instead, such as punctual donations with Paypal. There has been a thread on the subject, which suggests there are some users interested into that type of support.

Regardless, I understand that you have limited control about ad providers ; and well, you're the ones seeing what are the site's actual needs. Thanks for having taken the time to answer me, and thanks for the work you dedicate to this community. Smiley_jap_HFR.gif

LL's search function has never worked all that well.  Use google and type in Loverslab + what you are searching for.  Works like a charm.

Good idea! I wonder if a chrome search key could be set up to do that with one button...

[EDIT] Yep. In Chrome settings, add a new search engine. Put "l" for the key and this for the url: https://www.google.com/search?q=loverslab+%s

Then you can press l-space in the browser bar to do the same search.

If I understand your request correctly, to link to an existing attachment click on the "insert other media" button to the right of the drag&drop area. It'll open a menu allowing you to select your existing stuff.

Having problems with erased blog. I made a blog and then I delete it. I made a new blog under the same name, but the site still have the link of erased blog on the new one and when I press on it i got error message. Can deleted blog link can be fixed/removed, please. I had to give the same name to the new entry because my stories comes in episodes and must have continuity.

Difficult. Just add a dot or a comma in the new name.

Is there a way to add permissions for a second user to upload files to a mod file listing?

This would be very helpful. I release builds. But, another modder helps out by packaging that into a FOMOD.

Right now, there is a lot of back and forth in that process that delays how quickly the builds can get posted publicly. Sometimes quite a long delay.

Now, you can only give the ownership of a mod to somebody else, but there is no way to have a second in command.
