Sorry, but it's going to be standalone with Fertility Mode as the only requirement. Hooking into different mods will overly complicate things. There also isn't really a way to tell the mod how the baby was conceived, so I've written the mod in a way that assumes the player has a friendly relationship with the mother/father of their child and that all sexual acts were consensual. It will work just fine with spouses enhanced because even if your spouse is unhappy with you it's never permanent. As for SLEN, I've never used it but from a quick scan of the mod page everything sounds consensual so it should make sense.

 

For anyone else who reads this, here are some things that I won't be adding support for: mpreg, female to female impregnation, rape, creature sex, estrus and tentacles, ect. The mod may very well function in these scenarios, but i'm not going to guarantee it. I simply do not have the time to account for any of that. It's all written with the assumption that conception occurred during male to female intercourse. This isn't intended to be a kink or fetish mod.

Totally understandable- was definitely more leaning into Spouses Enhanced for it and not SLEN to be clear, as that seems the most focused on actual relationships/development in conjunction with this mod.

 

Not that I wouldnt welcome a patch or the like to keep your idea stand a lone with FM but thats just my 2 cents and appreciate looking forward to your work regardless :3

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but the drop down for the trained children only registers the first two, and none after that. 
They show up in the Trained Children area as existing, but just don't show up on the summon child list.

Ok so I haven't updated this mod for... a little while (read as years), and the last time I downloaded it, it required a patch to work with sexlab, is there still a need for this patch and if so where can i find it?

There's still a patch for SexLab, but for quite a while now the mod has been packaged as a FOMOD. All you need to do is run the installer and pick the options that fit your load order. Further, any patches not included in the package are incompatible with that version of FM.

 

Lastly, if it's been that long since you updated, you'll absolutely need a new game or a cleaned save after uninstalling FM.

So strange question, but is there any chance this mod will be updated to include options beyond the pretty strict male/female gendered pairings? I do so enjoy my magical fantasy lesbians and the option to actually have magical children is great, but it's kind of lame I have to set one to be a faux dude in the process, and similarly you can't get goofy with the mpreg if you want some dudes to get it on. Otherwise lovely mod though.

I think there is a way with a different mod :

 

U could try the sex lab change,  so FF would work I think,  but not sure about MM in context of fertility mode

I've been trying to trouble-shoot on my own, and haven't quite figured this out yet... sorry for the questions, and thank you in advance for any help. :)

 

I'm a male character and one day I noticed a baby item in my inventory. No birth scene, but I assumed I managed to get knocked up due to some of my SexLab configurations.

 

However, I can't seem to get the kid to grow up. Spawning and adoption are enabled, I own a home (Lakeview) with a free child bed, and I only have one other child adopted (also from this mod).

 

I reduced the baby duration to a day and waited for a few days somewhere that wasn't Lakeview (I had the baby item equipped while I waited), but no luck. I tried moving my current kid to Hjerim and that worked, but the baby still didn't grow up and spawn there despite a second child bed being free. I also haven't seen anything relevant in the verbose messages, and I don't see myself listed as a tracked actor. In the MCM it says I've only adopted one child, so I haven't passed that limit.

 

So, essentially, I have two questions:


1. Does a baby item stay in your inventory after the kid grows up? If so, I'm wondering if maybe I birthed the first kid unknowingly (I figured she had a mom somewhere), and the baby item never left. My existing kid is a Dunmer and the baby item seems pretty pale, but I'm not sure how many baby item variations there are.


2. Is it theoretically possible that I accidentally snagged the baby item from a merchant's inventory? That really seems like a stretch, but I'm trying to figure out any way I might have possibly got this little cutie.  Scratch that theory; Adrianne Avenicci currently has a baby item, and even with my expanded merchants' goods mod I can't see the kid in her inventory.

 

Also, I just wanted to say thank you so much for this mod. It's been a fantastic RP experience, and I really appreciate all the time and effort you must have put into this. Thank you. :)

No, when the baby grows up the item is removed from the mother's inventory. Of course, it's possible you encountered a race condition that kept that removal from happening, but it seems unlikely to me.

 

There's a baby item for every race, so I'm leaning toward you accidentally pickpocketing or looting a baby item that wasn't related to you. The only way you'd be assigned a baby item as a male is if you're set to be recognized as female in SexLab. And the only way you'd get a different race baby is if you're the mother but your baby race settings are for the father, random, or a specific race that's not yours.

That's odd. You should be able to pickpocket and see the item.

I've modded my game to the gills and a bunch of those affect economics and merchant inventories, so I wouldn't be surprised if I messed something up along the way. I bet at one point I could see the item, but have since then managed to mess with merchant inventories or something.

Alright, yeah, in that case, I definitely snagged this baby from a Nord gal at some point. I'm a Bosmer and I have the baby's race option set for mother.

 

Lol oh gosh, I've spent like two in-game months with this baby strapped to my chest haha; I'll find a RP-based explanation for this child. ?

Been running with FM 2.7 or so earlier, upgraded via clean save to 3.0. Male char, no adoptions. All good except all children are gone, ok, whatever, gotta make new ones no prob.

 

3.0.1 runs really well, kudos & thanks for that! And finally children that grow up into followers.

At this point the Hearthfire system gets in the way and is generally annoying, but your decision to roll with that is understandable.

But i wish there was no limit to 1 summoned follower at a time.

 

I've now decided to keep children unadopted and instead recruit them via EFF/FollowerLivePackage, that appears to work (as previously mentioned) and supports multiple children followers. But turns out all children actors are set to level 1 with 50/50/50 HP/MP/STA fixed. Could you set those to level with the player like the summoned followers, or does that break HF? I know they can't be adopted because that would definitely break HF if they die, so I prefer the free NPCs. (Any recommendations for mods to distribute stat points except for FLP? Training stats via trainers/books only is *yawn*)

If it matters, I have Immersive Children SE and YA installed and it all seems to work together reasonably well.

 

Lastly, is there a reason why there's no option to have ALL pregnancies result in actors? Would be great to recruit some follower's kids as well and establish kid's rule over the thalmor... or something. I guess the entire game has turned into complete madness by now. I actually liked that in BF you could see who the parents were and also tell children to gtfo if there were too many. So if follower/random NPC kids were a thing, what about some supporting dialog (like asking for parents), is that possible?

There are three reasons for that:

  1. Children are identified by name, and there could be bugs if you have more than one summoned child with the same name.
  2. Summoning more than one at a time would be OP.
  3. Each combination (race, gender, class) shares the same actor, and those actors must be unique to act as proper followers. This is the biggest technical limitation.

Aroo? I could have sworn I set them all to match the player's level. If not that's a bug that I'll fix in the next release.

It's a combination of AI packages and overpopulation. I'm complete doo-doo at writing AI packages, and there's not much I can do in terms of making them dynamic through scripting. I also kind of wish I had recorded one of my early tests where I spawned ~100 children in Solitude, that would eliminate any requests for NPC-NPC spawns in an instant, because it was absolutely ridiculous. ;)

Yeah, that dialogue option is the final piece where you can choose either adoption or training and have full control over it. It's honestly an oversight on my part, because that should have been in the current version...I just forgot to add it.

If you're talking about the dialogue expansion that I'm building than you don't need to worry, it doesn't have any dialogue related to adoption.

Aroo? I could have sworn I set them all to match the player's level. If not that's a bug that I'll fix in the next release.

To be clear: I'm talking about the child actors, not the grown up child followers. Those are fine. And thanks for the fix!

 



I'm complete doo-doo at writing AI packages, and there's not much I can do in terms of making them dynamic through scripting.

Why would this be necessary? The current setup is fine for now, just spawn actors in whiterun until it's overrun by kids. Easy, no? And possibly put a big honking warning to never tick this checkbox OR ELSE.

Indeed i was aiming for maximally ridiculous. Why? Because mod it until it crashes, that's why.

I prefer my mods to feel integrated rather than an addon. Other than the MCM, if it feels like something that would/should have been in the base game, that's my goal. ;)

HF is a shit show. I've spent exorbitant amounts of time going through the scripts, and they're a complete mess that I'd expect from a newbie coder. If I did a code review with the Bethesda script writers, it would be spent chastising them (kindly, of course) about good coding practices and design. ;)

 

That said, one thing I want to do is rewrite HF from scratch, at least the adoption part. But that's a gargantuan effort, and I don't have gargantuan time at present...

So a new question I'm playing a very shall I say harsh hardcore almost misogynistic so if my PC end up falling in love with an orc after doing a certain solutions quest is there a way to make sure its always the dominant race that creates the babies basically if in a dunmer female has sex with an orc gets impregnated is there a way for all children too be orc children becoming an orc breeding trophy wife

Hey, so, I'm having a problem, and am a bit of a novice modder. I've found that, at the beginning of my play through, insemination was working perfectly. Now, I'll admit, I do add a few mods here and there, sort my plugins mid playthrough, never remove anything but textures etc, and I definitely haven't touched fertility mode. With my limited knowledge I was thinking it was some load order problem, no conflicts in xEdit or anything of the sort, so I'm just kind of confused. 

Now, after a SexLab animation finishes, my character / NPC's are not inseminated. Not a clue what I did.

Let me give you one PRO tip. DO never ever sort your load after you have started your play. You can add mods, that is often fine, BUT you must place it manually correct in your loadorder.

That part comes from READING and even MORE READING.

 

There is also the possibility that you actually did have Anal animations. Dunno why they do run so often, but they do run way to often.
