The scope of my current plans is already in the range of "years" ================================================== I've put some thought into how I want the lair to work lately, but it's still in the "thinking out loud" stage, and is still very fluid... The Lair exists to provide entertainment to Evilynn, and her partner/consort (the player). If she finds someone entertaining or useful in she empowers them as an Warden(?). This role includes many things.. "Put on an entertaining show for me every day", and "Train my dolls (bodies) so they have increased endurance. I want to fuck for hours without getting tired", things like that. The "currency" of the city will be protection from Wardens. "Please, I'll do anything you want, just protect me from her!" Lair power structure: 1. Mistress Evilynn, The absolute ruler of the Lair. Not through law, but through power. 2. Mistress Dragon, The player, assuming the player takes the Partner path. Her second in command and consort. 3. Warden ????, All have been empowered by Evilynn, they compete fiercely with each other. 4. Slave - Slaves may earn the favor of one or more Wardens, and gain protection from the another Warden. You can protect yourself from one Warden by earning the favor of another Warden and asking for protection. 5. Toy - Fresh meat for anyone that wants to play with them - even slaves. They try to gain the favor of whoever they consider the "least horrible" Warden in hopes of being promoted to slave. While all of the Wardens are cruel, the rest of the npc's will have a range of personalities. Most are decent people in a terrible situation, just trying to find small sparks of joy in the madness. Some will become lovers - warning, Evilynn loves to take a pair of lovers to bed, or the rack - Some have decided that they might as well join in on the madness, perhaps they can attract Evilynns eye and earn a promotion. This is all very long term though. 1

Of course, various devices would also be exciting.It's not my fetish, but maybe something from Dwarven Amputee...At the moment your mod is a nice story, but it lacks some action. A bit of horror is missing, but it's just the beginning, you'll certainly build enough!As I said, these are just ideas from me :-) 1

valcon767 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 usage report Partner path ended normally for me 1 had a single blackscreen not clear (very first one) 1 single time of 5 passes (probably my fault - i left the game with a pop up on screen due to rl stuff for about 20 minutes), all other passes all blackscreens worked fine. on Victim path: 2 noticed a possible typo thing - Bunny/Sara/Susan combination in NPC name/dialogue/pop up box. dialogues list npc as Sara, single pop up lists as Susan, Fuz and several mods i have hotkeyed the same for selecting npcs all showed her as Bunny. 3 PC refers to herself as Dolly (correctly) after the Name quest, NPCs referred to her as Dolly also, a few of my MCMs still used original name (other mods MCMs). 4 the restricted camera during the whistling walk will probably be annoying to some people, but does convey the sense that you are a "puppet in you own body" nicely, and there are a few times that you can do more with the camera than just change the pitch of it during the walk. 5 got attacked by a wolf during 2 victim path runs (1 time had a follower and not sure if i was target or follower, 1 run i was solo and wolf as killed by a passing "immersive wench" and her bodyguard) 6 scene when entering lair fired correctly 2 of 3 passes (1st pass when it did not fire i cannot say about whether it would have on a reload i had to quit playing for a while). 7 end of Victim path left PC in lair and exit door does not work at this time (no big deal to me as this is still in early Alpha) the lair is huge (a couple of non working doors, reason discovered already by reading the thread), with just empty rooms (yes i know more will be added in them later) overall the story is good and has a nice flow...can't wait to see more (well i will have to wait for the update just like everyone else). anyhow please keep up the good work. edit would like to second the idea that Evillynn would at times use the PC even when on partner path. probably at some time when the PC happens to be in the lair (she could state she was bored with just her current toys??) Branding Device of Doom could very easily fit in here as already stated possible useage of Komotor's machine animations (he would probably give permission if you wanted to use them at specific times and places) could also fit edit 2 idea in reference to proposed "Lair Power Structure" the PC should(would??) not be the first to graduate from Toy to Slave.

I'll double-check when I get home late tonight. 1) The lair is empty right now, and it will always have some empty "scene" rooms. 2) I'll need to find where I accidentally entered Susan and fix it. Her name is Sara. Evilynn will rename her to Bunny soon. That's why she is referred to as Bunny in the code. That's what I named her in CK. 3) Any of my black screens will clear if you hit escape (I figure it's a natural response) While they are sometimes used for storytelling, the critical think the do is hide actor jumps. 4) I fixed the brightness problem in the lair, it will be nice and dark next update. 5) I think I'm going to keep the current look of the lair. Evilynn is from the first age, and it makes sense that she would hire the elves that live underground to build her underground lair.... Then she had someone else build the jail cells. Still may redesign, but I'm keeping to look for now. 5b) I am thinking about changing the lair to remove the cells. Her entire lair is a cell. She should only need cells for effect, and for "special" games.

That's what I named her in CK. not sure how helpful this will be ..but anyway Susan appears in a single message box that occurs during the sleep cycle at the campfire where you meet Bunny/Sara. the sleep cycle that occurs after they talk about the lair and before they wake up the next morning. 1

Anyone else have this problem on the partner path?
Vallen666 Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Tried out the victim path, ran into a small problem. there was a slight hang up when she was naming my character, then during the "Flying to look for her lair" part, everything was grey except my character... Then when I tried to debug into the lair to check it out, the grey scenery was back. Nothing there, just grey. I'm going to reinstall it in a few minutes and try again. I will edit if that fixed it or if it doesn't. Thank you for your hard work on this mod, and I hope it's a problem on my end, not yours.

I got the weird grey bit at same spot when i tried victem path. Just figured issue was on my end since lair loaded ok for me.

Damn, sorry for making more work for you Evilynn When I tried debugging to the lair, I think I did the quest debug, so I wound up outside the lair at the emblem, not inside it. That might be why I had the issue with the lair itself, because I didn't get in.

Your the bearer of bad news, not the one causing the work - better to know now than after I need to change 50+ quests Typing "coc el_lair" in the console will take you into the lair. If you hit escape does it clear the grey? The only imagespace changes I make are for the black screen, and if they don't cancel, escape should cancel them. Are either/both of you using an ENB, and if so, which one?

I have not tried using it with ZAP 7, so it might work (untill I include more ZAP 8 assets) That really sucks, but I don't have a better solution.

I'll give it a try when I get a chance and see if it will work or not. I really like the direction they are going with all the new stuff, I just wish I could figure out why it's not working for me.
sfeile Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 I did get it to start up. I had time to run through the victim thing. COC'd to saarthal and found the object just fine. Inside, everything went smoothly. Got out and fought some trolls on the hill and nothing else was happening. I'm not sure how the naming is supposed to trigger so I hit the skip stage in the MCM and tried to go to her lair. That triggered the naming dialog, and then I got teleported. There were two wolves at the spawning point and I had control of my player and had to fight them, then nothing else would trigger. I only got the whistling, and I couldn't talk to Sarah. I reloaded the save I made right after being teleported out of the opening cells and skipped to the lair again. This time it skipped the naming dialog and went straight to the finding the lair dialog and teleported me. Is the naming started by time passed or something? Maybe I skipped just as it was starting and caused the dialog the first time? Got to the spawn point the second time and had no control. Evilynn was in control. The lack of camera was a little annoying as I was in 3rd person and viewing the side of my character as she walked and I couldn't look forwards. Went up the path and the dialog with Sarah started, but then the wolves showed up and started attacking her. She ran off fighting them, but still talking to me. Went through the dialog and went to sleep. woke up in the lair, but my fps went from 58-60 down to 10-15. The dialog I got was excellent. I really like the direction it is going. Will try out the other path when I get a chance. Only real issues I have at this point are lack of camera when she has control of you, and maybe if there is a way to deal with random encounters like the wolves.

Only real issues I have at this point are lack of camera when she has control of you, and maybe if there is a way to deal with random encounters like the wolves. the naming does trigger after waiting ( i waited 24 hours) the sometimes spawn of wolves is known, but not sure if its fixable or not (not sure if the spawn point can be disabled and still let the PC teleport there). like you i found the camera a little annoying (but you do have more control of it {for a second or 3} at a couple of specific points during the walk), but i have to say it did make the point "you are just a puppet in your own body now" really well (imho). after the dialogue and sleep you should walk a little bit, have a little more dialogue, cast a spell. and then be in the lair, in the lair there should be some more dialogue and a scene or 3 (ends with Bunny in cell). other (partner) path is not yet caught up to this point (it still ends just outside Saarthal, as far as i know) as for your pain with ZAP 8.0, all i can say there is i know your pain.....i have issues with it to (not quite the same issue as you), in my case it breaks another mod (a framework/resource which is needed by 4 other mods). hope this information is helpful to someone
