My ideas for player names

as a partner "Dragon" or "Mistress Dragon" and when having sex with the player "Candy Dragon" or "my sweet Dragon"

as a victim  "skeever", "thing", "cow", "it", "doll", "puppet" something like this . But as a victim, the PC should loose the right of an name and receive just a humiliating word. Maybe just a number, if it fits into the story?

The player will get to pick titles. It's one of the ways the player can control content. I'll try to tie content to titles related to it. Most importantly specific types of content will be linked to specific titles. If you don't give anyone a title like "Pain Slut", then you will have fewer torture related scenes. If you don't assign anyone an "anal" title, then you have fewer anal sex scenes.

Change of plans: (in a good way – at least I think so!)

 

As I’ve spent more and more time working on Lich Evilynn, I’ve realized that I want to take a different path than I originally planned.

 

Retcon:

After she died, Evilynn spent decades planning for her return. She knows exactly what she wants, and she knows how to get it. She wants multiple victims to choose from. She wants victims play with. She wants underlings to provide entertainment for her (She likes watching other people rape and torture almost as much as doing it herself).

 

She wants to know that when she wakes up in the morning…

She can choose a body to wear like most women choose dresses.

That she can then walk down the hall towards the sound of voices… and KNOW all the people in the room will be beautiful women.

That all will be wearing clothing she picked out.

That when she arrives she can stick a poker in the fire and put on a strap on.

That the begging and screaming will be sincere - but they will neither run nor disobey.

That they will fear her anger more than the pain of her play.

That she can spend however many hours she wants raping and torturing them.

That when she is finished she can casually walk on and pick out someone else to play with.

 

People are her puppets.

 

Her toys.

 

Her dolls.

 

She wants a dollhouse the size of a city to play with.

 

You are either her first doll - or her partner - and either way you both have a lot of work to do.

Hopefully soon - as in this weekend. I'm still figuring out how to get CK to do what I want, and it's a real nightmare sometimes.

 

BTW: I did figure out how to force a name change on the player :)

I just wanted to say that I have run through the quest a few times and am eagerly awaiting more. Keep up the good work!

 

P.S. Is it wrong I feel you should have to actually swing a whip/crop at the bound girl before you advance? Otherwise, you could pick up the crowd of people who just habitually loot areas before interacting (like me) incidentally I was going to do dirty things to the girl anyway but still...

On the subject of names and titles, at least my preference is for simple names that aren't too far away from what you might see in a sword-and-sorcery novel, because I'm one of those immersive nerds...even in my videogame porn, I try for immersion.

loving what I've seen so far.  Quick question, if you choose to be her willing partner, other than betrayal, will there be a way to let her take over for short periods of time anyway?  My character swings on both sides of the spectrum, both a dom and sub.

I'll think about it.. I like the idea, but I'd need to come up with a way to include it without doubling my work.

I agree: if you plan to use peoples internal fears against them in a sadistic psychological torture, that speaks of a certain level of sophistication that would prefer a more subtle approach. However, the use of 'crude' names for some slaves and more nuanced names for others, in conjunction with keeping those slaves separate would offer a very interesting opportunity for more prolonged and mentally degrading torture.

 

For example:

 

Slave A is called Pain Slut, she is kept in a cell with 5 other slaves of a similar ilk. Her experience is to occasionally get cleaned up or administered after a bout of torture by a slave that is called Peach by the Mistress. Peach never speaks to her, just blindly follows the orders of Evillynn and when Evillynn speaks to Peach it is what appears to be affectionate. Pain Slut, on the other hand, is fed from a trough and regularly hears the screams of her cellmates echo down the corridor when she is the one lucky enough not to be the current object of the Mistress's attention.

 

Pain Slut starts to resent or desire Peaches position, Evillynn offers her the chance to 'improve her position' to Peaches level. Apparently, Peaches was the old 'Pain Slut' and with unflinching obedience and a lot of work she got out of the communal cell.

 

Cue a montage of humiliation and pain, Pain Slut eventually gets told she has done enough to warrant a 'promotion', missing in her joy the dark smile ghosting across Evillynns face.

 

"I will call you Ivy, Upper slaves have earnt a name to reflect their new station." Whispers Lynn as she leads the newly named Ivy to her new quarters. "remove that grubby sackcloth, it is time for you to experience a more refined garment."

 

Evillynn watches hungrily as Ivy dresses in the silky shift that hugs every curve, the fabric caressing like a lover over the healing whip marks.

 

That's when the pain starts, faint burning searing across her skin as a Tattoo of Ivy slowly appears, snaking across her body. She opens her mouth to scream and hears nothing, her voice stolen. Each pulse of agony is fresh and new, never dulling except to ease off enough to prevent her blacking out.

 

Evillynn's eyes glow blue, a ragged indrawn breath of pleasure escapes her lips as she says "mmm, and I thought Peaches pain was sweet. We are going to have so much more fun together Ivy. If you please me enough I may allow you to go back to the Pigpen, that's what Peaches wants."

So you see, the psychological pain of having your hopes not only dashed but also have something as primal as your ability to scream when in agony would be exactly the sort of thing I would do if I was an evil being of incredible power. Pain takes many forms, merely beating the body is not enough ;)

Obviously just a suggestion on why you may like to include more than just the cruder names.

If you take a look at my post on names, I think there you will like what you find...

 

Basically, each victim is given a new name, that name is intended to hurt or humiliate them.

 

The new name is something like "Babydoll", "Freckles", "Peaches".. there are a few in the list that are crude, but only a few, and all are one word names. 

 

In addition there is also a "title". (Hmm, I should rename this to Role)

 

The title is where things like "Fuck Hole" or "Pain Slut" come from. I'm not sure yet if I'll have titles displayed (Updating a name to: "Peaches the Fuck Hole").

 

My LONG term plan is to allow the player (even in the victim role) to assign titles. In the victim role, the story-line is that Evilynn picked out the titles and your just assigning them as she ordered. Scenes can then be limited to ones matching the available NPC titles.

Just a suggestion, not a demand.  If it adds too much work, chalk it up as a potential add-on and do what you want with it.  Amazing work so far, though the apparent text-to-speech for the voice over needs a little tweaking, but definitely is not a deal breaker.  

 

***EDIT***  There are a few points where the program used for the text-to-speech seems to hesitate, drawing out a simple word, emphasizing the wrong part of the word, really common problems with that type of program.  Voice acting is not part of my forte, and I know getting people to actually do that is rough.  Like I said, I'm very impressed with what I've seen and heard so far.  Kudos on a great start for the mod.

I don't want to step on your toes, frankly, I just appreciate someone of like mind who is far more skilled at modding than me doing the work to make another mod for us to enjoy. If you like any of my ideas feel free to take them, if you don't, I will be taking no offence.

Yeah, I've decided to voice everyone, not just Evilynn with text-to-speech.

 

I would love to end up with real voice acting (or just an actual person reading the dialog), but there are three problems...

 

1) Cost - I'ts not cheap, and right now I already have ~150 lines. I expect to have many thousands before I'm done. 

2) The content - No reputable voice acting place is going to accept the job. 

3) The dialog is still in flux, I can't do voice acting until the dialog is stable - and that's probably months away.

 

The biggest problem is that, unlike message boxes, subtitles don't show up when you fade out the screen, and I use that for the storytelling.

It's just not a story with a happy ending for anyone but Evilynn (and her partner).

 

I need to consciously work on improving the overall story.

Like I said, I think what you've got is great so far.  I was just pointing out the problem with the text-to-speech.  I'm also aware that I would not be able to do this myself (I tried, my mod basically crashed the game every time, so chalk that up as a major fail).  As far as I'm concerned, I'll leave the modding to the people who are succeeding, and offer suggestions for content.  If they're doable, great.  If not, I'm not going to pitch a fit about it.  Clearly they know what works, or what could work.  I don't.  So I'm not going to take it personally if you can't add what I suggest.  Thank you for taking the time to respond to all of the suggestions, and happy modding :)
