OK. Reqirements all checked, ini. files ammended. All loaded, no probs in MO, FNIS run and guess what? Teleported back to the hall with the levers every time.

Mod removed and new game started.

Better luck next time.!

So did you edit the INI file using the INI editor in MO so you got the one for your profile or did you edit the one in the MYGAMES\Skyrim folder?

Editing the wrong one does absolutely nothing for you.

From the original post (emphasis added):

Very important: please add bBorderRegionsEnabled=0 in your C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini file, under [general]. Otherwise the quest won't progress normally, since it will require you to go beyond the game borders. If you have Mod Organizer, you also need to modify your Skyrim.ini in the profile directory.

It IS in the original post but it is also very easy to miss.

Tried it too :

1) I had problems finding Julia ! In the end, I simply found her refid to do a player.moveto in the console... ! I looked at the entrance of black light tower, but in fact she is close to the exit which is barred while you don't have done this quest...

Then it took me a while to find the proper entrance, I thought first I had missed the key since the 1st door you find is actually the exit of the ruins !

After that not many problems, I noticed Julia stayed back but since she said she couldn't fight I didn't worry.

Nice kiss animation, I didn't think it would be included here !

Precision : I am level 15 only, so I brought Faendal and Mjoll to help.

The 1st part of the ruin before the glacier is a copy of a well known dwemer ruin from the game, but forgot where you took this from.

My first meeting with the dwarven colossus, I just found the nexus page it is from the other day, but hadn't planned to test it soon... well now it's done !

Thanks very much to have done this in a place where you can avoid most of his attacks, even like this it was hard for my small level, I had no protection against fire, I had to use potions to restore health during the fight. At first the followers didn't follow, and suddenly they were here, just when I thought I was lost. In the end victory was ours !

The animation in the end : not really spectacular, plus I had an unp body and there was some cliping, and it was quite long... ! She used only 1 machine by the way, normal ? But it's original for sure ! As she says after this, she should have been impaled by the machine, a very strong enchantment indeed !

I thought I would gain a new follower in the end but it was a new house in these ruins instead, oh well... ! Not sure I would want to live here, it's probably not very convenient even with fast travel...

Thanks for the mod, the originality is nice for sure !

Thanks very much for the mod. Finally had a chance to install it.

As it has been said, I enjoyed the fact that Julia is not a regular follower and this is more like an escort mission. She is an academic and as such she runs away from danger. I know I wolud! Well done!

By the way, is there anything in the locked door that is behind the door to the balcony?

Finally, one bug I did find is that when you finally take the last lift out of the apartments and back to the tower next to Darklight Tower, me and all my follwers seem to fall off the platform and end up under the lift's platform instead of on it, with only our faces poking out of the floor. Otherwise well done!

After I replace the Kom table nif, the animation cannot be runned properly (cant run the full animation, only the first few seconds of each stage). I would suggest not to replace them since the original nif works fine and is compatible with this mod. Edit: nevermind, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't... not sure what's wrong.

By the way, I can't use the bed or wait because apparently "I am being asked to leave"... after the quest line is completed

I have encountered an issue in the ruins of Rkund. When I take an elevator that is supposed to take me to the surface the screen goes black but it does nothing, also the name above the leaver says "Bordeciel". The other issue I've noticed is that Julia follows me as far as the ruins of Rkund, but will not follow me inside of the ruins, or after the fact if I go back outside and try to talk to her to get her to follow me again.

EDIT: Never mind, I see what I did wrong. Yeah, the mod works pretty good, I will say though that the main chamber with the two machines is kind of dark when you first enter it, it could use some of those gas lamp light sources, and because of the way I have SexLab set up the machine animation teleported to the bed when I told Julia to test it out (not sure if there is a way to do something about that besides changing the setting in SexLab or not), other than that I would say that probably my only real complaint would be that there aren't more types of machines. :D

Because of all the people who keep failing to read and follow the instructions on editing the INI file, I suggest you place a trigger zone just before that elevator that pops up a message box that tells the player if they end up back here when taking the elevator they need to edit the INI file.

Maybe, just maybe the continual posting of that complaint will cease.

Yes perhaps, I wanted to take advantage of those unused mountain valeys but I didn't think it was going to cause so many problems^^

IMO it is a good idea, especially to avoid conflicts with other mods.  Just that some people simply aren't going to actually read what they are downloading carefully and will jump straight to reporting "bugs".

I wouldn't be surprised if even with a text-box warning there would still be a handful of reports of people who don't understand what it means, but it would probably cut down on the reports overall.  It would probably help Mod Organizer too, for those that edited the wrong .ini file.

The gate in front of city of Rkund level is locked and required a key. Where can I find the key?

if you are at a gate, with stairs leading up to it and a elevator inside the gated area, you would be actually at the exit.  it has a lever inside the gate to open the gate when exiting.

you actually will pass this exit going from the npc who starts the quest to get to the main city entrance.

if it is the main city entrance you have some type of bug (I never saw a gate at the main city entrance).

Problems I've found with this mod, current version v1.4.
(1). Author basically cloned Mzinchaleft Level 1 as Rkund City, including a lot of the clutter and items.  I found an extra copy of Maluril's Journal from the Vanilla DB quest to kill him.

( [REFR:040060C9] (places dunMzinchaleftMalurilsJournal "Maluril's Journal" [BOOK:0006BE25] ) in the Temporary Children of Cell 3,1 RkundInterior2
Kinda' sloppy... but I understand the gist of this mod is the NPC and the Machines, and most-everything else was probably cobbled together without much though, amIright?
(2).  Error present in the Colossus Hammer records

  WEAP \ VMAD - Virtual Machine Adapter \ Scripts \ Script \ Properties \ Property \ Value \ Object Union \ Object v2 \ FormID -> [0404C3FC] < Error: Could not be resolved >

(3). Would be REALLY helpful if the author added a Map Reference marker to Julia's Camp.  That would allow the camp to show up on the HUD compass, making Julia *much* easier to find, and the adventure to begin.

Worst problem I encountered was with the Dwemer Lifts throughout the ruins... had to use "CenterOnCell" console commands to move from zone to zone to see how the mod displayed in-game on my build.  I haven't done enough investigating to track down where the misdirection is on the .nif, but the Lift Doors are non-existent in my game.
Don't know if the mod-author has Loose Files in his Data directory that weren't bundled into the download (instead of just the normal Skyrim .bsa), or if one of my other mods is conflicting, but...

TESV 2017-11-22 18-14-41-920.jpg

On the plus side, Julia is cute (sorta' like a young Sarah Michelle Gellar), the machines animated just fine in my game using HDT Sex Toys (Bazinga)

(install the HDT first, and overlay with the textures from Soris Balam)

and animated properly with the skinned-mesh clams from All-In-One Animated Pussy (Leyenda)

Would be a good thing to see these bugs I'm reporting get squashed in the next update.

Need to give some positive feedback, too.

How to get the quest started?

No quest and same as

Stop looking at the EXIT which is locked, go North to the Entrance and enter there.

The exit unfortunately happens to be placed between Julia's camp and the Entrance and everyone seems to find the exit and tries to enter there when traveling a little further will take you to the entrance where you'll have to clear the mobs around it (if you didn't already).

I have a similar issue as quite a few people in this thread apparently, namely that Julia does not enter the ruin and starts backtracking out when you teleport her to you. The ini setting is done though, and also properly reflected ingame. To the other people having that issue, could you run

getini "bBorderRegionsEnabled:General"

in your console? That way you can check if the setting did apply, mine did.

Any clue on how I can debug this further?

you can use

setini "bBorderRegionsEnabled:General" 0

figured that out when i couldn't find where nmm was keeping the ini profile at.....

I just noticed that with the machinery table animation you can hear a other npc moan. I saw that it loads 2 invincible npcs, i removed the 3th actor in the komanimemachinescript2. But now it runs a foreplay animation before it. I guess that i why the 3th actor is there, but is there a other way around the moaning ?

Yes, generally good advice, specifically for me not helpful though. (I already know where the ini is and that the value is set to 0, I just do not know how to make Julia behave like she should.)

I love the idea of this mod, but I was a little underwhelmed, I guess, when I got to the end.  I would like to see these machines used more, uh, immersively, maybe, or menacingly?  Maybe we have to use one to open a door, or to reveal a secret or something.  Just an idea. I am happy to see them in a mod though.

On a side note.

One machine lasted like 10 minutes, the other one was over in like 3 seconds.

I have my sexlab animations set to ~5 sec per phase.

Awesome mini-adventure, had a lot of fun.
Julia was cool. Nice NPC, would love to see / hear her voiced. And would love to see more of her in game.

I'll admit I was expecting the machines to be used in a more non-consensual manner. Slight pity it was only the one machine that was part of the plot and it was the same animation already used by Shout Like a Virgin (punishment scene).
Anyway, if you ever decide to make a sequel, I would be very excited to see more of Julia and more of Kom's other animations. And again, traps, punishments, or trickery on the player or Julia to use the machines would be fun IMO.

Thank You, very much...

I'd added the "border regions" line to the Skyrim.ini file in my Documents/MyGames/Skyrim directory, and going up the elevator always took me to the normal/non-mod exit.

I use NMM, and issuing the command you provided - in-game, via the console, while I was in the ruins - made it so I came out to the mod's exit when using the elevator.

So, obviously, NMM is using a different version of the Skyrim.ini file than the one in my MyGames folder.

Where do I find her I'm running all over the place I can't find her camp site

south of darklight tower

easiest way to access is to do the quest involving Darklight Tower(so you can exit through the south gate), but you can find the camp by going around without doing that quest.
