That's basically what happens.

Until you leave the proximity of Vault 111 initially, it won't display properly/at all.

Once you do, you're good to go.

Speed running is a good example of how the game makes sure you have your Pip-Boy. But.. if you're running certain Pip-Boy mods, the game can't or won't re-equip it.

Oooh, awesome. I presume I just install it into the Devious Devices subfolder in MO, and then rerun bodyslide?  Only asking the basic questions because I spent an hour trying to fix a bug, only to find out 'Yo, run the patch again after you install new shit, dude. Patches get applied after mods, you idiot.'

 

So, sometimes asking the basic questions is a good idea :)

Correct, it overwrites the current files. You can actually unzip Devious Devices 2.0.7z & the DD Reference Mesh Fix.zip, copy & paste the "Tools" folder into DD, repack it and you have a permanent fix. Handy for later when you need to reinstall and forget about the fix or where you put it.

 

(Also: Leave the power On, unplug it from the wall and reinstall Windows.) ;)

There's a timer, speak to them & you get the gagged dialogue, wait a couple seconds then try to talk to them again which "should" allow normal dialogue. (if I remember right)

In original mod no gag timer for NPC - if you put on gag you can take out it only by console. I fix it for me in game by making NPC gag timer using the same variables as for player. Somewhere in this thread i left instructions how to made it by change esp and compile new changed scripts.

I am having some trouble installing DD through vortex... I know I need to install the mod from file using file manager, only problem is I have no idea what to use. Could someone please help me or just give any kind of explanation. I have all the required DLC and mods.

Download the mod archive, then drag it from your downloads folder to the drop target at the bottom of the mods view in Vortex. After that it should appear as an entry in the Never Installed section and you can use the drop-down control on the left to switch it to Enabled state. Deploy and then build the outfits with morphs in BodySlide (make sure it's installed correctly as an app in Vortex so it uses the correct directory to write into).

I can't say I've tried, DD is known to have complicated and problematic behaviors if used on NPCs, but if it's in their inventory you can determine the refid by standing in front of them in first-person mode and entering the console, then clicking the mouse on the NPC in front of you to select them, then executing the showinventory command to get a list of what they're carrying with the associated refids, then equipitem NNNNNNNN (where NNNNNNNN is the refid of the item you want them to put on).

Yep, highly recommended as well. I've been using it for months. The biggest improvement, to me, is that it displays the name of the selected element rather than just the ID. So many times I'd think I selected some object only to discover that I really selected a whispy bit of transparent mist or light source which I couldn't see was in front of it (repeat several layers deep).

Scrolling is ya friend. LOL

I try to let folks know about it.. cause it saves soooo many headaches. Really handy for locating lost companions/NPC's too.

All DD latex dresses (what not restraint dress) is bugged. You need add in Fo4edit dummy armor to inventory device model.

later you can equip those dress to NPC legally. Also those dresses not trigger by DCW traps: if trap need equip that dress because of this bug dress not equipped only stays in your inventory. See screenshots into spoiler:

Thank you so much! Worked like a charm, I'm still kinda learning so this helped a lot. :)

my companion was violated through the AAF violate mod and they drilled some leg cuffs onto her, when i took them off properly with the key off of one of their bodies it came off but she continued to walk as if she had them on with the little hop

 

how can i fix this?

Is there a way to remove DD from companions without the correct key? I have Piper blindfolded since a long time, I thought to have the key and I wanted to remove it from her but apparently I don't have that key. So now she's stil lblindfolded, and I have no idea on what to do to remove it from her.

I had similar issues, try to lock her up again, exit the dialogue, and then remove it once again. It should fix it, otherwise try to save and reload.
