The latest revision was specifically trying to solve clipping issues with armbinders, but since I couldn't figure out how to apply TD's armbinder pose/position inside Outfit Studio, it involved a lot of blind guesswork and repeatedly loading the mesh in game to check various angles and slider values until I found deformations which looked reasonable. I'm still not thrilled with the result, but I think I've put as much time into addressing that as I usefully can.

 

I had to do two minor tweaks to the armbinders, and that was all. Thanks for the work.

This is going to be a very noobish question, but there are 163 pages of thread and, frankly, I'd rather not go through every last page.

 

Question:  Is AWKCR still a hard requirement?  A lot of mods seem to be going AWKCR-free these days, and I'm wondering if this is one of them?

RC8 (which you can find links above in previous pages (basically build 8 of DD and replaces 2.0) does not need the "once great, but now fallen" AWKCR.

I am using DD and no AWKCR :)

No, but Rogg's DD Items Manager requires it, but you can remove that requirement as it doesn't actually need it. Someone posted a patched version of it not too long ago, I just followed a process I found in a youtube video about how to remove a reference to a master esp and did it myself.

I'm running DD RC8, running into an issue where in a AAF Violate combat loss DD ending, multiple restraints are applied but only some show up in the player inventory, so the missing items can't be unlocked / removed. Using player.showinventory I can see the unnamed (locked) secondary items and remove those items via console, but it breaks the game save and I have to revert to an older save. Is DD worn items not showing in inventory a known issue?

I've been running on RC8 since it's existed (and the previous release candidates before it) and haven't encountered that behavior, so it's at least not known to me. Is this happening from a new playthrough, or did you upgrade from DD 2.0? Have other mods installed which might affect your inventory handling?

While possibly not related I had a similar occurrence but it was the Pipboy that failed to equip on my character. My arm was just skin without any Pipboy model. I used the console to add the Pipboy to player inventory, it worked and did not break the save. Happened twice so far. 

 

Probably not all that helpful but thought I might chime in with that. Have not had any instances where DD items are not in player inventory though.

Are there any good mods for alternative ways of getting out of devices?

There is Devious Helpers but I don't want to play with any companions this game, is there anything else?

You don't need a companion. Just toggle it on when you need help and talk to any friendly NPC, then toggle it back off. If you're running Hardship you can have Raiders & Gunners help you too.

Is there a way to adjust the "difficulty" of struggling/unlocking devices, similar to the Skyrim version of DD? I see no option in the MCM, but is there a console command or something?

Certain approaches in Sexual Harassment will remove (or add) devices depending on how things go for you. Sex Attributes Framework includes a feature to allow you to spend accumulated willpower in order to escape from devices. There's also DD Armorbench Unlocker which lets you pay money at armor workbenches to remove devices. And I think (though I haven't used it) Deviously Cursed Wasteland may randomly spawn restraint/chastity keys in containers or on NPCs. Raider pet puts a restraint key in the inventory of your abductor or of "the boss" too, which you can use to unlock anything (but specifically meant for unlocking your slave collar). Oh, and I want to say Violate puts keys in the inventory of attackers who put devices on you, if you have its DD integration enabled.

DD 2.0 doesn't have an MCM, so I'm going to assume you're asking about RC8 (which does). There is a difficulty slider in its MCM, though it's backwards from what most people would expect (0 is hardest, 9 easiest).

For some reason I can't see your screenshots, but make sure you've built the clamps with morphs in BodySlide and that you've installed slidersets appropriate for the body replacer you're using. What body are you using and which conversion of the devices do you have?

Thanks for the response! I believe it was actually caused by a load order issue. I went through each mod that has anything to do with these scenarios and verified load order was as specified. I also pulled a couple older mods that I suspected may cause instability. On a new play-through, I no longer have the problem.

All of those DD items placed in Kimy vendor's chest ( DD_VendorChest_Kimy ) and defenitely not equipped

I guess unequipped DD items should not process OnPlayerSleepStop event and waste CPU

hi I'd just like to report that using devious devices and the realistic handcuffs mod together seams to break the animation pose for the devious devices armbinder. im not sure how to fix it having devious devices load second does not seam to work.

Not sure if i ever posted this issue before, but i'm having a few issues with nanakochan and devious devices. i can't for the life of me figure out how to build for a custom race and nothing i've tried gets it to work. i know that it's installed properly since the npc in the memory den has a DD dress on. i've really racked my mind, does anyone have any ideas i can try?
