No, it slows the time.

 

I believe there is a Console Command which controls the Speed of Animations. (This is probably changed for the special 'Baywatch' slow motion run Lifeguards receive as a job perk)

 

Animation running lengths dependent on 'time' come in 2 types. One uses the game time - so an animation will 'loop' until the Sims game clock reaches a set time. The other is set to run *one time instead of loop and Relativity can cause this type to sit and wait for the game clock to reach a point before it unpauses after running a single pass of the animation. I've only noticed this with the SHOWTIME EP career animations playing. *The animations appear to 'stutter' as they pause while the game time catches up. The only Thing I know to do is set Relativity back to zero while watching or performing a Showtime Event.

 

There are settings in Relativity meant to slow (or speed up) the effects from certain interactions so they can run an amount of time longer or shorter based on the player settings while trying to remain 'true' to the game unchanged. Unfortunately - like the example above - not all animations and the scripts running them use the same references so it's never going to be perfect.

 

As for changing the length of time specific animations run, either you need to find a mod or go into the files and change them yourself. I use an eating mod myself from MTS. It makes Sims take longer to eat, and the player can choose the amount of nourishment the Sims receive (fill the needs bar) so they actually need to eat more than once a day - even with Relativity set to make the days much longer.

It would certainly be very interesting if we can automatically or manually slow the animations. Like in Egypt, a sleepy slow mummy trying to catch your sim etc.

Been thinking about certain ways the Animations for sex are handled regarding objects.

 

Understandable the player can't 'choose' an object/location already being used for something - yet other times it would be ideal.

 

Example - A Sim is sitting on a couch, and another Sim wants to woohoo on the couch with the sitting Sim. Instead of having to interrupt the sitting Sim, forcing it to stand up and then engaging it in woohoo conversation before returning back to the couch - what if the flags/whatever tells the game an object is "BLOCKED" is removed?

 

We see this already with the sleeping animation (aroused/over the covers) where another sim can engage the sleeping Sim in sex without waking that Sim up, having it get out of bed and then 'ask' to woohoo . . . . .     We see it with a solo animation ALREADY in progress being joined by another Sim . . . . . 

 

 

This opens up a LOT of kinky options by being able to - sit on a couch next to the partner and whip it out for solo fun? Then the other Sim already sitting doesn't have to move - and - it could simply join as well without getting up and asking/being asked and 'returning' to the couch. A Sim relaxing/reading/watching TV on a bed doesn't 'OWN' the whole bed when a KW animation is called blocking the event. Sure - there's a generic:join event for Sims sitting in a lounge chair - it would be great if they could just use ANY animation made for that object instead without the usual 'getting up, blah blah blah'.

 

 

 

Too long - too complicated:    Can we remove the blocked status of objects where woohoo animations are concerned (If a player chooses to have a couple woohoo 'in a sim already sitting in 'that' chair - that's on them - stop babysitting player choices). Sure - it could be odd with Autonomous KW/Passion Animations causing Sims to merge at locations - but I'd rather have the freedom provided anytime.

Think this could turn out as a very complex thing to cover all the possibilities happen in the game.

Besides a deep modification in the core mod, I could imagine to solve that with a JAZZ file in the corresponding animation file for some certain animations.

I.e. Onikis sleeping in bed. The Jazz file -among others- (should) trigger also the position of the actors. (left or right side of the bed).

The only persons I can think of to answer this question correctly and what it means in terms of the game are Oniki or Twilightstorm.

 

Funny : Made over some pool table animations and during test, if a sim play on the table no woohoo possible, the other way around, if woohoo goes on,

others start trying to play, override the object animation of the woohoo animation and mostly await then beside the table until the woohoo end.

Sometimes I saw them start playing while the woohoo still goes on ?

 

Similar to the bar animations. If the bartender is there, no woohoo. But in Passion I saw the bartender start his work while woohoo goes on.

But did not saw that in KW so far.

Hello everyone. I'm kinda new here but I wanted to ask if anyone here know where to get the shoes from this picture? It's supposedly to be a Sims 3 CC, but my guess is that import from S4. I tried to contact poster from Tumblr, but owner didn't post for a year so my bet it's abandoned. I would be glad for any help or suggestions, as those would be cool shoes to use.

I'm sorry mr. moderator if my post was poorly made, I don't know how to use functions in this forum and it's my first post here.

I think those are not real CC shoes but photoshopped on the sim. Not 100% sure, but some people do that to create cool pics.

I can unfortunately just agree with MJ. Looks pretty photoshopped. I've tried my luck with looking for CC like this but I didn't found something like this. Well, technically I found something, but the download link isn't working (I hate this so much). Artsims has some very "complicated" boots for their Lady Gaga outfits, but they are often mixed with clothes or hats in one package. I put these that although they only reach the ankle, combined with the appropriate clothing, they may be useful for you, I will continue looking for if something else appears.

My suggestion is to use your search engine, and type in things like "sims 3 goth boots". Always include "sims 3", even though a bunch of TS4 stuff (and other) will probably also show. Other keywords, "gothic", "emo", "leather". 

 

I generally use the show images search, as you can then see what things are.

Thanks everyone very much for suggestions. Sadly I expected this as I searched sims cc for a while (and almost always I find some lacking clothing here, let alone full ones like samus or chun li). Shame because S4 have much more of those shoes and one would expect to that there would be many more conversions.

Well, I just did Samus as FemmeBot and YA/A female Sim. One of the few advantages TS44 has ove TS3 is that the 64 bit game can handle heavier meshes. I have looked at many TS4 meshes, and many are game rips. They are high polycount, and would break the vertices limits, which cause some very messed up looking stuff to happen.

 

I know that the decimate feature in Blender will reduce the vertices/ polycount, but has little control and too often distorts the mesh to where it simply looks terrible. MurfeeL was good at getting a useable mesh. I try, but not all will work. I recently downloaded a bunch of TS4 cosplay outfits to see if I could do anything with them, and it does not look good. Maybe 2 or 3 that I might be willing to put the effort into converting. Aside from Samus, only one that I have bothered to make a mesh for so far, aside from some Harley Quinn stuff that I REALLY WANT! )))

 

So, Asuka Langley will be a FemmeBot soon, and I may convert to YA/A female Sim. Finally found hair I can work with...

Sims 3 outfits can be very limited with the amount of UV map space you have to work with and keeping seams intact is always a problem. And to be honest, I really don't have the patience's anymore for the outfits. There is always some error in outfit making and having getting it into the game to having to come back to fix it can sometime kill the passion you felt for that garment. So, I will just site back in four wheel and enjoy what modders like LadySmoks, JoshQ, santosfashionsims, venuspincess and maybe the new guy ErinC7214 who still have there patience's bring to the world.

I have many folders of garments that just did not work as I planned! My current laptop has more than 25 workshops, and each has 20 or more project folders... and some of those have several "fail" folders inside! ))) But, I also expand as I continue to learn new tools and techniques. THAT is what keeps me going... learning. 

 

UV mapping... I have looked to things done by JoshQ with doubling arms, etc, and also Russian creators often use 2048 x 2048 maps. But also found that once everything is final, I can reduce to 1024 and not loose to much detail for some reason. My biggest problem is finding a program that will replace decimate. Too many meshes I wish to convert, but can not cut poly count and keep mesh details. ((( Still working on it though!

I had the motobikes of @Dailycard with all my rebel sims who wants the beast ! They have the choice now.

I totally feel you I wanted to convert a pullover from Bellal1997 into the sims 3,I lost the patience. The process is not friendly at all to convert or to create with this game.I am stuck at retexturing lol.

Just I want to let you know I love some of the clothes you converted you've got taste. It's so a shame we cannot enjoy at all them due to creation issues.

Going over some things from the past: I had helped Nonsequitur with an issue a few years back and as a thank you he created some open toed boots for me. While he did make a set based more or less on my conversation with him and those are available to anyone, there was another pair which I have found I get a LOT of use from because the style is very relevant while the others were specific.

 

Since it's been 2 years I thought others might also like to have them in their game.

FYI - both use the JoshQ foot and give credit to him. So these will look/fit the same as the rest of his shoes here.

 

Here I colored the the first set with a pattern, and the second set I used the 'clear' version (of 3)
