The right mesh would have been either the Blades helmet or a sword (can't remember which), but I assume you got a different load screen and then the text changed to that one.

quest, and make that 3 flags, this got him speaking....sort of (we seriously need to get some voice actors around here)

I would be more than happy to learn how to add voiced dialogue to the game if someone was willing to do voice acting for the mod. The thing is, there isn't that much content for him just yet (only his quest dialogue and a bunch of WIP background info/comments here and there) so I would rather do so with more stuff to actually voice; but yeah, having a voice for him would be nice.

 

Also remember that Faallokaar is in need of a voice actor as well.

Going back to this, because I checked it and you are right. The only existing art of that character is that sequence with the panther girl, and the schlong is always either hidden or too deep inside the kitty so it's impossible to tell, lol. I think we'll stick with uncut, since we've made it so clear it's very uncommon to cut it.

 

Looking at that again, I think Kori could really use some work, at least to look more like the reference material. Could begin by replacing her vanilla hair style with the SkyXXX ponytail one, which is the closest to that we have available. There isn't much to do about the head shape itself, though, but since Nightro's new head will be in the next update I assume it would be enough of an improvement of itself.

 

Also, the other thing I noticed: back fin ring! I could do that. Setting up the tail as a head part so it can be "selected" in RaceMenu would be to buggy and we don't have any tail variants anyway, but I think I could whip up some back fin/tail ring or piercing options like those you see in plenty of anthro shark designs. Just have to add them to the Facial Hair slider, since so far it's unused on males and only has the neck cover on females.

 

Can't guarantee it will work at all, but if you come across any reference designs for those, I'd like to see them. Specially if they are rings like the ones we have for the head fins already, since moving and rescaling them would be pretty straight forward.

Considering that though, it is already a suggestion to make it a wearable mesh in this mod, though with the specific Fundoshi name, rather than just Underwear. I think I mentioned that I recolored the textures, making a black, and a red version. I'd hope for it being wearable by females as well, if possible.

Available in the same colors/materials as the head fin rings. There's options for back fin only, tail only, or both. There's no way to combine materials between the two because that would require either an extra slider (which we don't have) or a Facial Hair entry for each and every single possible combination (which won't happen either).

 

Doesn't look that good, but I think it's mostly due to both the rings and the tail + fin meshes being really in need of improvements. Can't wait for Nightro to get started on new versions of them, though chances are it will be a while before it happens and the heads need to go first.

 

I'll check the pics you linked and see if there's anything I like and I can feasibly pull off with what's available.

If it was intended to be some kind of ingame thing, I would have gone for some kind of Alteration magic or enchanted item or stuff that hides the tail/makes it ethereal somehow without removing it for situations in which a tail may be problematic. But since it was only a dummy item for convenience (and because other generic tail hiders also hide the back fin), I did it as a joke.

I don't think I edited the normals for the loincloth; I did edit the diffuse to fix some minor texture seams, but that's it.

 

Making it wearable should be easy; the female version could pose some more problems, though. There's the mesh from the "fundoshi bikini" by Crential which is higher poly and already fit to the UNP(B) body, but it wouldn't match the male counterpart and I also don't know Cre's mod permissions. I guess I'll also look into porting the current meshes to females, but no promises.

Still looks pretty good, though. Better than not having it as an option at all. ;)

I was thinking maybe a strap to hold it against their leg(which might just look awkward), or maybe something like that character with what I think is a snake tail(and I mean that literally) from Queen's Blade, who uses it as something of a belt and...g-string I guess? Not sure if either idea would work, though. The second one perhaps not working because it is a shark tail, where with something like the Khajiit tail, that could work.

Well, before I used the normal from this mod, the recolors I did had the problem I mentioned - looked fine in the dark, but in any light source(say the torch on the wall in the LAL starting cell), and it looked too bright and shiny - even with Bad Dog's base texture, though that was a bit harder to tell.

Oh, right. I didn't edit the normal map itself i.e. the detail included in it, but I did add an alpha channel with the proper values so it wouldn't shine like a supernova. In meshes with tangent-space normals, the specular map is actually the alpha channel of the normal (that's why there is no separate _s texture for those), so that's the reason for that.

 

Anyway, how's this look?

It's a bit wonky overall, and I don't like how it gets thigh weights and sticks to them around the bottom of the front piece, but seems to work and I didn't notice any blatant clipping or stuff like that.

Though I'd imagine it was set up for UNP? Would UUNP files for it be difficult?

Yup, it's for UNP, though it should also work for other presets that have the same groin/butt as UNP, like UNPBB/UNPB/UNPBO/UN7B and maybe some of the SevenBase presets (not sure). I tested it with the UUNP Special body using the UNPBB preset and I didn't see any clipping with the HDT bits either.

 

I'm not too keen on UUNP files anymore because of the huuge amount of work and time that it takes to manually fit the meshes to all sliders, and while the auto-conform saves some time it still requires manual tweaking most of the time. I'm not going to do a crappy "auto-conform-and-save" job (because anyone can do that), and I really don't feel like putting that much time into tweaking the sliders myself, so chances are it won't happen, at least not from me :classic_undecided:.

"Strange purple textures" means some files are missing, try reinstalling the mod and see if that helps.

 

As for the second part of your post, I assume you are asking which is the correct load order for the mod with respect to Yiffy Age? If so, you need to load the NPC plugin from this mod after YA.

So does the shark mod need be load after sexlab.esm or before  unofficial legendary Skyrim patch? I had at bottom of the list last of esm list yiff.esp at bottom. I back skyrim after an year because of my graphic card replacement last summer and my move back to Mich in September 2017 and just upgrade the CPU TO AMD FX 8350 with 32 gig ddr3 lol pass Feb

The main race plugin (Shark Race.esm) should load after the Unofficial patch. The order with respect to Sexlab.esm doesn't really matter so you can load it before or after it, whatever you prefer. The NPC plugin (if you use it) has to load after the main YA plugin, at the end of the load order.

Maybe that's why acting purple texture thanks I did make back up folder of all working stiff even if Yiff or shark not in there so I can reinstalled lol

Well, the presets I've mostly been using are Seraphim(included in Bodyslide), and this one, MRB - MJ's Realistic Body(UUNP Bodyside Preset), since it doesn't seem(haha...) to have any mesh seams with the clawed hand meshes from this mod or Yiffy Age. I'll have to see if at least the MRB preset has any problems when those items are added to the mod - not sure if Seraphim will. 

 

Otherwise...

 

-Added some basic schedule information, and other details for Seika and Kiraya, to the blog. Both are fairly similar, the only difference being of course, that Kiraya doesn't do any Blacksmithing work, or sell anything. Granted, that depends on the house/shop being there, but...

I haven't tried that preset ingame, but from the description and the images seems like there could be some changes to the hips and groin so the fundoshi may not match the body. Could be wrong, though, so the only way to know is to actually try it out. Also read in the mod comments that low weights have somewhat of a wrsit/ankle seam with standard UNP hands and feet, and by extension vanilla seam placements; the hands and feet from both here and YA use those placements so you may actually get seams when using that body preset with low weights.

 

Seraphim will definitely have problems, that backside is too big compared to the standard UNP one for it to match.

Hey i love this mod especially for it's skin textures and tail but is there anyway i could have this with a human head? I've tried myself to change stuff is the CK to no avail, i tried to swap round textures with another custom race mod so i had the skin texture but obviously couldn't get the tail.  Any help would be super appreciated! Great work regardless.

It's certainly possible but it would take some work, both in the Ck/xEdit and in some kind of texture editor like GIMP or Photoshop.

 

You would have to edit all the head part entries (head, mouth, eyes) to point to the corresponding human meshes instead of the current beast ones, and you should probably also edit the RaceCompatibility script to point to a human list instead of the Argonian one to get the vanilla human head parts as well. Then you would also need to get human head textures that matched the body; the current textures were built using Fair Skin as a base so you could try taking the FS head and neck and blending them to the current body textures, but it would take some work, specially if you are not familiar with texture editing.

 

As I said, certainly possible but not exactly easy, and unfortunately I won't work on it myself because I don't like human heads on beast races. But feel free to give it a shot for your own use if you want.

 

The alternative is to take an existing human custom race and replace their textures with the ones from this mod, but you would still need to work on the human head textures to match and adding the tail if the custom race doesn't have one already would also take some CK/xEdit tweaking.

Don't have much at the moment, but he are some basic outlines for the quests, and some other content...

 

Helheim

While I don't exactly intend on the quest for this to be as lengthy as Dawnguard, there may be a few quests for this one, which might have some variance on how it can start. 

 

-Encountering Helheim without any prior knowledge of the location. 

-This hinges on what has been suggested already - the player may have to be a Vampire to enter, or perhaps, willing to become one. 

-Getting a possible event after meeting Ketsu, and getting her as a follower. 

-This would entail taking her to the surface, through one of the Elevators or through the Dwemer ruins that lead to Blackreach, and getting an event were you are attacked by a few Volkihar Vampires(or generic Vampires if the DG questline is completed, on either side). Most of them are easy to deal with, but one of them will prove quite challenging. Rather than a long and tedious fight, after brought down to maybe half heath, you may spot yet another Vampire enter this battle, but this one seems to be on your side - he is able to easily kill this Vampire, and then after perhaps a word to Ketsu, engages the player in conversation. He introduces himself as Ulric, and will later inform the player about the fact that he turned Ketsu, though he believes that he will be a slight problem with that - he is not sure how those in Helheim will react to this, yet wishes to present his possible error in judgement to his coven, no matter the punishment this may entail. 

 

There may be another option for this that his far less complex - you, or Ketsu would find a note on these Vampires telling of Helheim's location, and she has either heard the vague mention of that name in a book, or it was something that Ulric mentioned to her a long time ago, when she had no idea what it meant. The rest would similarly follow, only you learn most of the details after arriving at Helhiem(with Sina knowing that Ketsu's blood comes from this line), and speaking with Runa, where you would then be introduced to Ulric.

 

Hmm...perhaps either presents a certain difficulty, really. Though both the second option might also have the possibility of including the first, with the idea that you know about Helheim, so maybe that is the simple one, i.e she asks how you became a Vampire, or you ask about her past, and at some point she mentions Helheim.

 

After this I'm not too sure about quests, though eventually the idea is that Runa would suggest that it is time that you met with Hela and that she(Hela), finally meets the 4th Era, understanding all that she has missed while she has been sleeping. 

-This would obviously entail entering a crypt area(which may be a separate cell, akin to the Chapel area of Volkihar Keep, at the end if the DG questline), where there are three nordic sarcophagi, and a shrine of Molag Bal. One of them is empty, and has no lid. The other two are closed, possibly containing a body inside. Given what I've suggested, there is an obvious problem. It is unlikely that the vanilla races can use the draugr animations, so this would have to be cheated a bit, i.e after Runa and the player spill some of their blood into the sarcophagus containing Hela(inside which would either be a inanimate female draugr, nothing but blood(not sure if this would be possible), or both, where the player can only see some of the draugr's body submerged in the blood. 

 

Now here is the problem. How to switch the draugr mesh to the actual Hela NPC? Hide it. There is that red energy explosion effect, used for master(?) level spells. So she would appear naked, standing on the blood, and eventually stepping to the floor, to speak with the player - with Runa bowing or kneeling(if there is an animation for something like that). 

 

Conflagration of Lies(Neros' quest)

Currently this stands as a somewhat point to point quest. Obviously with Nisil's journal I've expanded this a bit, but there are also meant to be a few other changes. 

 

The current progression goes something like this...

-Player encounters Neros, and agrees to assist him. 

-The player retrieves Nisil's journal from the Evergreen Grove, dealing with the Spriggans if necessary. 

 -The book leads to Sunderstone Gorge, which the player will then have to clear out. 

-The player will find the Dunmer Nero's is looking for - Raynith, in the last area of the dungeon, sandboxing in the area between the two "gates". 

-Neros and Raynith will have it out(not fighting, just taking), revealing a few facts about the past - Raynith being Neros' father, Raynith having killed her fellow Dunmer to allow his mother her freedom, etc. The bigger detail being that, Raynith did make at least one mistake - believing herself safe from the House she had wronged. Due to this, her beloved was killed, along with most of the village she lived in. In spite of this, she made sure Neros would survive - if she did not, then it would be payment for her only mistake. 

-The two will part peacefully, with Raynith perhaps giving the player...

...either a Destruction spell tome based on level(most likely a fire spell)

...perhaps a ring or amulet or adding a constant effect which helps against fire magic.

 

The only change I would make to this is based on adding more story - as Nisil's journal suggested, Raynith traveled to the Gorge in the effort to learn more about it's original purpose, but found mages there whose only concern was everything but. She realized the Wall in the final room, had some significance, understanding it may have a certain use to few, either being those who had some knowledge  of the written Dragon Language, or others, who could make use of the Wall for other reasons. However, though she manages to coerce the mages to let her stay, she eventually catches wind of what they plan to do, though the exact details are not clear - though they do involve the sacrifice of living people, and they under no certain terms are unclear as to who they intend to use - slaves. Most likely of beast races(though this might get a little awkward with Diverse Skyrim, if any of the mages in that last room are Khajiit or Argonian, though I'm not planning to have any of these "sacrifices" be shown). 

 

She decides to stop this, and heads off the carriages taking the bringing them. She finds two men camped out, eating their evening meal, waiting out the night to continue their journey. Easily paralyzing them, she frees the captives, and waits for the spell to wear off. It is here where more men are altered to what she has done, and she merely laughs as she pulls a stream of fire from her hands, and an explosion of fire ensues...

-Perhaps dependent on level, or the player's choice, you will either find a dead Necromancer outside the cave(who has a note about where Raynith is going), or one in the same area where you would have previously found Raynith. 

-This means that Raynith will be found instead at the site of the burning landscape with the two carriages, dead horse, and the two charred bodies, near the Twilight Sepulcher.

-The part with her an Neros will basically be the same. 

 

Otherwise, I have not started it yet, but I do plan in writing a journal for Raynith. Here is a few facts...

-The suggestion will be made that, if using the vanilla version(without the possible SOS patch), Raynith is actually one step away from being male - may have to research this a bit, but the idea is that it would not take much with magic for a temporary alteration to tip the scale. Might involve one of Fyr's "daughters" in this, which I may even suggest one of them is very similar(which would not be surprising to me at all). 

-The YA or SOS patched one will be more direct about it, since this gets a lot more obvious and straightforward. However, the question would still be there, even if this would be a point in time when actually having a kid was furthest from her mind - to her, it was more about knowing if it was possible, no matter if she wanted to have any kids or not. 

-Technically, the point in time where Raynith meets Neros' mother would make no sense under a canon context, as this would be perhaps around 15 to 20 years before the game's events, long after Slavery would have been abolished in Morrowind(mentioned as being so before the events of Oblivion, and refereed to in that game) at that point. However, the idea is that she would have traveled to one of the perhaps few Telvanni strongholds on Morrowind's mainland after the Red Year(or during), and this stronghold still held on to the practice, under the guise of calling them "servants", and perhaps paying off those who suggested otherwise.

Culture

Selachii do not possess any kind of cultural bias against using their teeth, claws or tails as weapons.

 

History

One of many ships to sail from Akavir during the Selachii' flight from the continent, is the Kioku(Akaviri, "Memory"), a vessel which contained much of the Selachii's past history, culture, and knowledge, however, this was only the intention, as events saw the ship leaving port prematurely, to escape the event that nearly wiped out the race.

 

Sexual

Pregnant female Selachii do not typically require much assistance during the birthing process, which is far less taxing on their bodies than it is for women of Human or Elven races.
