HDT SMP for SSE?

Since DarkFireTim posted the unconverted version of this already, I'll go ahead and post the converted version. Here is what I did to it:

  • Unpacked the BSA
  • Ran all meshes through the Nif Optimizer
  • Installed into my SSE 1.5.23 + SKSE64 2.0.6
  • Got CTD on one style, scanned Textures with NifOptimizer, which found 4 errors; corrected 4 normal map errors using GIMP2
  • Resaved the plugin file in the CK to update it to Form Type 44 for SSE
  • Tested all styles in-game- all wigs worked fine, a couple of them may need minor xml tweaks for best physics
  • Rezipped all files as loose files (no more BSA) so people have access to the xmls for tweaking
  • Uploaded installable archive to my DropBox (link below)

SMP Hair Project SSE.7z

Can you toss your HDT SMP KS Pony Hair in a drop box. The one I downloaded isn't working.

Woohoo! Just made myself a new KS Sky188 HDT-SMP Pink wig! Just a simple texture-swap recolor, but still, I'm excited about it! I left a note on Anitman's mod page for this wig to see if he wanted to publish it over there.

I have read bits and pieces here and there that suggest someone has made a high-poly UUNP body- but Google can't find one if it exists. The only thing that bothers me about my UUNP body is the "frog legs" distortion at the hips whenever my legs are spread (which is often :classic_biggrin:.) I've never had a high-poly body, but from what I've read, it might distort less in "those poses."

8K body is part of his body package.

Well, thanks, that's Demoniac's 8K Textures- but that's not the same thing as a high-poly body... I looked inside the file and there are no meshes at all except for teeth. No meshes = no polygons, high OR low.

Right. I was thinking textures not the poly count of the meshes. Thanks for the Hair too.

Still learning smp but i have a question. I jus updated everything to 1.5.39 an im getting massive fps drops a random locations. Should i revert, or is there a way to fix this? Also, is there a certain way to install the patch from 9dameo for the skse64 fix? Do i even need it? Thanks..

@Vyxenne

Yeah that fixed the pics. I like her she reminds me of the nicer and not so backstabby malkavian sister in "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines".

With your log full of errors, is anything not working properly in game when it throws those errors? I ask cause I've noticed in my own game that sometimes SMP seems to "slip gears" if you will and throw errors about bones not existing when I'm in cells with lots of volumetric fog and/or god rays. In game it never seems to break anything, physics and collisions still work, and the errors stop when I go to a different less intensive cell so I've just been ignoring them.

@rosent

Thanks for sharing, I rather like that ribbon and the animations that come with it. As for your question about beards, I've never seen someone do it but in theory it should work. You'd need to set it up as an equipment tho. We've found that SMP doesn't work on "hair" it has to be applied to a "wig". Also if a shape has to many "bones" than SSE has problems with it and you're shape will stretch off screen whether or not it has physics. With "Kai's HDT Vanillia Male Hairstyles" what weird behavior are you experiencing?

@Zaknea

Your continued efforts are greatly appreciated. m(_ _)m

IMO. At some point the community will need to standardize what types of shapes go in what nifs and what they are called. Like all boots having the virtual ground shape and all tails, or wigs, having the arm/leg/head collision shapes. Specifics can be worked out later, but I think it needs to happen to avoid conflicting tags and shapes. I mean, we can fix them when we find them but if we want SMP to be open to the casual modder than its a concern.

@Warjunkie88

Are you using an Nvidia GPU/graphics card? I ask because the community has been seeing a trend with nvidia GPU's, v-sync, godrays, and volumetric fog. The really really short version is that nvidia users in many cases are better off turning the SSE and ENB v-sync off and forcing the nvidia v-sync instead.

Is stretching off screen, so I'm assuming for what you said that probably I should add that as a wig instead

Do somebody know at least why is not working on "hair"??

Yes i have a nvidia 1070. But no enb. Is there a guide or do u know how to do that? Sorry i jus got this new gsync monitor an still trying to figure it out

I'm looking for non-Asian-looking SMP hairstyles- I don't care if the author is Asian, I just want the styles to be more western-looking than most of the ones in SMP Hair Project. Does anybody know of any?

I'm also looking for theRoadstrokers Royal Elven Armor for SMP as well as any other 'swishy' feminine SMP clothes. I found several recolors but they all require the original mod, and it's gone from the Nexus and Google can't find it. Anybody have it or know where I can get it?

Here is why I want theRoadstrokers Royal Elven Armor. It's just so girly-girl I have to have it!

I searched "All Topics" here on LL for "SMP Hair" and "SMP Clothes" but the searches returned zero hits. :classic_confused:

Now that the question has been raised does anyone know why SMP doesn't like hair? I can find comments about it not liking hair and that we need to use wigs instead but nothing about why.

First let me say I really don't know what I'm doing here so make sure you can undo any changes you make. I found these two guides

https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4988160-fix-to-anyone-who-experiences-low-framerates-fps-drops-in-skyrim-se/

https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/5a20vn/sse_performance_guide_stutter_microstutter_fps/

when I was looking for a solution to my fps drops. After reading them and the S.T.E.P. guide they referenced I decided to download NvidiaInspector and have it handle SSE's v-sync, using the "force on" option, with the fps capped at 59.7, after disabling v-sync in SSE itself and on my ENB. While this didn't totally fix my fps drops it did bring them to a manageable level, 30 instead of 5 as an example. If this helps you out than I think we can say that your fps problem was a Nvidia/SSE/ENB problem rather than a SMP problem.

Ok thanks. I will try messin with that as soon as i get home.

Edit: that worked like a charm thank u so much!

As far as I can tell, SMP Physics are working fine on my breasts, butt, belly, hair, earrings and amulets, so I don't understand what it's trying to tell me-

  • My UUNP-Special body does not have any of the "pre" bones (PreBreast, PreButt, etc.) so I don't understand why those bones are declared in UUNP.xml. Are those some CBBE bones that mysteriously made it into UUNP.xml?
  • My UUNP-Special body does not have any Pussy01 bones, but strangely, it does have L and R Pussy02 bones (why would it have bones numbered 02 unless it also had the same bones numbered 01? Most illogical, as Spock said.) Are the L and R Pussy01 bones from CBBE?
  • My UUNP-Special body does not have any HDT Belly bones, just NPC Belly. Again, why is this non-existent bone being declared?
  • All the rest of the bones in this log DO exist in my default UUNP-Special body, so why is hdtSMP throwing errors saying they don't exist?

Thanks to anyone who can help me understand what this log is trying to tell me.

I've seen multiple explanations about these warnings, some in this thread as well, that they can be safely ignored in most cases.

It might happen when, PC or NPCs in the same cell wearing armor/clothing built with body missing these bones.

In my case, I'm getting the following warnings:

[Thu Apr 19 19:19:49 2018]WARNING: SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs\CBBE.xml(292,2):Labia is not a BSTriShape or doesn't exist, skipped

Thing is that Labia is only included in CBBE Special Body, but the majority of armor/clothing is built with CBBE Physics Body.

So when HDT SMP sees CBBE Physics Bodies missing Labia, it prints this warning in the log file.

OK, that makes sense, thanks. I'll ignore as long as everything works.

Everything appears to be working fine. I still have bad jitters (breast, butt and hair, but not belly, earrings or amulets) and occasionally some of the SMP Hair Project styles go off at odd angles for no reason, but everything has physics and works about as well as can be expected for a WIP like SMP-SSE... I guess... :classic_blink:

So, basically the new updated Skyrim and SKSE64 2.0.7 broke SMP for everyone correct?

So for me in order to have SMP in my Skyrim SE I must do the following:

1-Downgrade Skyrim SE to before update (how to do that? What version?)

2-Use older SKSE64 2.0.6

3-Install HDT-SMP (what version numbers to be exact?)

4-Use provided XML files (where to put them in?)

5-Use Hair mods, cape mods and armor mods compatible with SMP?

Also if anyone asks about my rig spec:

CPU: 7700K@4.2Ghz

RAM: 64GB 2400Mhz DDR4

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB-GDDR5X

SSD: 960Evo 1TB. 1TB MX300. 1TB EVO850.

Screen: FHD 120hz.

Yeah I can help with that. If your using CBBE you can download and use the SMP files provided on the nexus page, they'll cover all base body shapes and a good number of more fun things. As for the base SMP files you need to grab two downloads from Hydrogensayshdt's posts, they're English download links so no worries about dodgy buttons, but you will need to make an account for the Chinese forum and reply to the thread before you can download. Google translate covered everything for me and I took the forced post as an opportunity to thank her(?) for making Tamriel a better place :classic_tongue:.

The first thread you need is

http://www.9damao.com/thread-61877-1-1.html

your looking for the link "hdtSSEFramework_1_5_23.7z"

The second thread you want is

http://www.9damao.com/thread-61878-1-1.html

your looking for the link "hdtSSEPhysics_1_5_23.7z"

EDITED - 6:53PM 4/13/2018

@aDeadlyrtwinkie

Without seeing your install directory I can't say for sure, but that sounds like a the core SMP files aren't installed properly. Makes sure the SMP files you have are unedited, I'd use the links in this post, and reinstall the core SMP files. You should end up with two files "hdtSSEFramework.dll", "hdtSSEPhysics.dll", and the folder "hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs" in your data\SKSE\Plugins folder. If that folder doesn't exist then double check to make sure you have SKSE64 installed correctly, and remember you need SKSE64 version 2.0.6 and SkyrimSE version 1_5_23.

Ah was on page 25!

Oh boy this is a mess. I'm not going through fucking 30 pages and spending hours getting to download some weird files from a chinese website to see its not ready yet.

We still need Enhanced Camera, a full ENB Binary and a lot more stuff. Maybe the Remaster is playable in like 2019 :tongue:
