HDT SMP for SSE?

So I went in .73's Physics hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs's XMLs and simply pasted in the 6 XML files that normally come with version .62 instead. However, in .73's

hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs folder there's WAY more than 6 XMLs to start with. There's a whopping 19 of them, plus a CBP 'config' type file in the form of a .TXT file. I can't recall if any of the previous versions even had half of that (prior to .62).

I'm a little confused by this. My configs are exactly the same, same number of files, same date.  Did you get your from 9damao or somewhere else?

I haven't crashed, but I haven't really played yet either since coming back to this. Getting set up to help Pffify with the chains again, and part of that was moving off Vortex and back into MO2, so I don't have anything but the basics and a few extras installed. I've got clipping through the body, and the problem project (DD prisoner chains) is spazzing.

So where I'm going with this is it seems you might have 'extra' files? Maybe uninstalling SMP, delete or rename the configs folder and reinstall SMP?

You mentioned CBP like files in there, are you trying to use SMP alongside CBP? Maybe try with just one to confirm your setup is right?

I got my .73 download from neokio's post on Page 133 (10th post from top). The Physics folder contains a bunch of extra files and I don't know which ones should normally be "removed" if any. I DO of course assume that anything related to CBBE isn't necessarily good for my setup since I'm using UNP, and I'm of course not using any CBP Physics at all either.

If there's other links for maybe a more 'default' Physics .73 folder then please let me know (I haven't found other links for .73 yet). It might be possible that most (if not all) the issues I experience are maybe due to the 'special' version of .73 I happened to download which simply might not be fully compatible with my setup. It might really just be that. But I'm not aware if that is currently the case.

Thanks.

Maybe 1.5.73 smp is broken within MO2 only.

I have tried 1.5.73 and my hdt smp dll files were not managed by mo2 (as advised by hydrogen). In addition to this my xml files were all custom and so no changes there. The physics was broken so I reverted my game.

Yes the 73 version is broken. Ive never experienced CTD though

The crash happened when I try to equip the abba outfit that has smp physics. May have to switch to CBPC for the time being.

I can't practically "revert back" to .62 since I updated WAY too many things to move to .73.

[...]

I Should Have Stayed With My Stable .62 Instead. I'm actually mad at myself right now (I normally don't do big updates like that unless I'm 9000% sure it's going to be fine... not sure what I was thinking there).

Not to rub salt in your wound or anything, but I agree that staying with 1.5.62 / 2.0.12 a bit longer would have revealed the disaster (with Racemenu - corrected yesterday - and with HDT-SMP-SE system files.) I did exactly that and I'm playing happily along and watching all of my SKSE-sensitive mods as they update, reading the Posts section before downloading and warehousing each update.

One thing that has helped me immensely (twice) is having a full archival backup of my entire SSE installation - yes, every byte of it including the system files (exe's) and the ini's stashed away in %appdata% - so that when I discover I have updated too soon I can simply and easily revert by blowing up everything in my SSE folders and copying the backup in its place. I'm using SyncToy (an oldie but goody) for backups and it "works a treat" as our UK brethren say, doing the entire backup in under ten minutes because at any given moment, the vast majority of my files are unchanged.

CBPC provides only Body physics ("BBP") and not cloth physics such as capes, wigs, earrings, flowy gowns, flouncy miniskirts, etc. Only HDT-SMP can do cloth physics in SSE.

I have SMP working near flawlessly for my UUNP body, including collisions and armor/clothing parts that do not replace the main body mesh, such as loincloths and belts. However, for the armor pieces that do replace that mesh, the physics on the armor works but the body mesh itself no longer has physics. I made sure that my defaultBBPs XML has the name of the body mesh as it reads in NIFSkope, and as a matter of fact the alternate version of the SMP armor without the physics actually has the normal body physics. How do I make body physics work on an armor piece with other parts that have physics? I can provide load order and such but to me this seems like more of an XML issue?

Well, it sounds to me like your main armor piece does not have the "BBP" bones in it. Sadly, if you copy the Breast, Butt and/or Belly bones into the mesh in Outfit Studio/Bodyslide, it will almost certainly break the entire mesh. Don't ask me why, but that has been my experience, and I don't know how to fix the mesh once I have broken it trying to get Body Physics to work, nor do I know how to copy the missing BBP bones into the mesh without breaking it. @Yinkle has confirmed that this happens and also that the only way to actually add the BBP bones involved 3DSMax or similar 3D-modeling software with a nif plugin. I have 3DSMax but not a clue how to use it to add BBP bones to a non-BBP Cloth-Physics mesh. He said basically you have to re-create the mesh from scratch. Yikes.

TL; DR: You are S.O.L. :classic_wacko:

I actually use both cbpc(Body Physics) and hdt smp(cloth and hair). The cbpc is fine but the smp 73 physics dont work

I know that. But I was saying with the latest HDT SMP framework I suffered a immediate CTD when I equipped abba outfit cause the physics isn’t working with the latest framework.

? ?

I have not tried it with outfits, but Meshrigger helps with the bodies, one thing, but that it only works with the Le version of meshes. You can use this to copy the necessary bones from the body or another attire where there are the necessary bones into the mesh of the dress. This program rescued me more than once with the transplantation of various bones from body to body, wig to wig and so on (and you can copy the weight of vertices at once).

I ended up reverting my game and all skse stuff to 1.5.62 (and a working SMP) - for me there is no reason to update to 73 at this point.

I never let mine update, so I, too, am on 1.5.62 + 2.0.12 and enjoying everything working. Also, at least two of my SKSE-version-sensitive mods have not been updated yet, so even if for some reason I wanted to downgrade my game to 1.5.73 with dysfunctional SMP, I wouldn't do it until all of my mods work with that version.

Ten days have passed, I doubt HDT himself is even aware of the problem with 1.5.73.

Is it time to pester Hydrogen about SMP's open source release?

Witcher 3 Hair HDT

wow, nice! I collect a pack of wigs, can I add yours? There are very few men's wigs with physics and this one will be a great addition to the collection. I hope I finish it. My working comp seems to have died completely ..

If anyone expirinced CTD after load game with equiped Wig. I have installed around 34 plugins with DLL (40 dll). When im activate another one mod with DLL my game CTD after load. I was found a reason it was HDT-SMP wig. If im turn off any mod with DLL it works fine. But if im exeed limit game starting CTD on load if Wig is equiped or im try too wear it.
