I use other people's animations with permission. They are integrated and setup differently in FNIS since I'm not playing them through Sexlab. The scripting is very specific to this mod... far from being suitable as something like Zaz Extension.

I have a very heavily immersive + survival + difficulty oriented modded game and these 2 devious mods just make for the best gaming experience I have ever had. When I get killed I lose all my stuff (no death mod) + get locked into Nocturnal's collar and forced to crawl and bleed. One really thinks about dying again What I absolutely love about this mod though is the attention to detail and the tremendous work that has been poured into it. All punishing devices are extremely immersive (mostly thanks to the added gameplay and visual effects and SOUND, wish more modders realized this). Running around locked in full virginity training set with all the bells and chains sounds IS truly immersive. Animations: multiple animations played in rapid succession. This is SO MUCH BETTER than watching a single animation going on for ages (which gets old really fast). The mod also seems to be very stable, performance friendly and relatively bug free. I have found one minor bug so far: when forced to crawl I get periodically 3rd person switch (I use enhanced camera for 1st person). VirginMarie, you are hands down the best devious modder of Skyrim. Please bring us even more hardcore immersive punitive devices

FNIS or Enhanced Camera is likely being interrupted by some event from another mod. Example... plug/device vibrations from Devious Devices.

I find them to be a bit annoying, takes away from my enjoyment of the game.

FNIS has to switch to 3rd person when alternate animations are set to the player. That's technically necessary. The FNIS procedures don't change back to 1st. The animation mods have to do it when they are done. Because usually there are more that one AA assignments in a row. Therefore returning to 1st in FNIS would cause a repeated change between 1st and 3rd. FNIS on its own usually does not change to 3rd. Only after load, when the user has a different AA setup due to added or removed mods that use AA functionality. In early AA times XPMSE repeatedly changed between 1st and 3rd when you used its additional animations (not only the equip ones). But now XPMSE uses a very clever implementation by waiting until the user itself switches to 3rd person. Something unfortunately the FNIS procedures cannot do themselves. But whenever this 1st->3rd switch happens you can look into the papyrus log to find out which mod has caused that switch.
Lambda87 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Unfortunately I have papyrus logs disabled. Running quite a lot of mods so needed to alleviate some strain for a stable setup. Guess I will have to re-enable to find the culprit. Still, when the switch from 1st->3rd person happens the crawl animation is not interrupted and the character maintains its direction. When event like orgasm or whatever happens then yes, there is an interrupt and it works as expected. To me it seems no other event tries to interrupt the crawl and somehow fails resulting in camera switch. All such stuff I am running always print something to console and there is nothing.

If you are in a combat or caught in blizzard with frostfall on it is pretty easy to favourite the main body armor and just quickly re-equip from the favourite menu (and keep spamming it). It leads more to annoyance than meaningful game effect. Would it be possible to just completely disable wearing body armor when the device is melting? Some devices from other mods can already do that. Hopefully it wouldn't be a difficult change. btw do the chains and bell have any effect on sneaking? I can't really tell since my sneaking is low anyways but it would be cool if it had.

I would say (if this is in fact is caused by FNIS AA) that you figure out who does it, and how it can be synchronized. Because by knowing that another mod has overridden AAs doesn't mean that you automatically should override it back. And switching to 3rd person unreasonably is not something you can fi by just knowing when it happens. I have a related section in the PCEA2 instructions: Mod synchronization (for mod makers only!) Using the FNIS Alternate Animation functionality can cause much trouble when several mods try to change the same animvars for the player. In order to allow for a basic level of synchronization between the mods, FNIS PCEA2 sends the following mod event whenever it has changed something for the player. XPMSE will read this to react appropriately. It is recommended that all animation mods using FNIS Alternate Animations do the same (for player only). SendModEvent("FNISaa_AnimVarsSet", "FNIS_PCEA2") The first parameter is the name of the mod event and fix. The second parameter is the name of the mod (name of the mod'S animation folder, case SENSITIVE)

What you can do is put a OnItemEquipped() listener in a player alias script, catch whenever the player tries to equip an armor and unequip it right away if the slot is currently not allowed. On the quest part where i'm supposed to disable two dwarf devices and when i do, nothing happens. No quest update when i do, though it does stop glowing. Occasionally when my char reaches the melting point and is forced to to and relieve herself via masturbation, the vaginal chassis unequippes and reequips, as well as the plug, but though on the menu is says i'm wearing them, they do not show visual or mechanicaly because i keep loosing anal virginity. I've tried to use a cleaned up save point, and uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it but nothing seems to help. This really sucks because i'm loveing the mod so far and want to keep playing it. (also i think it would be awesome if there was a gag-less version. Its cute to begin with but seriously annoying having to scroll where all the muffled bits just to talk to someone.

Both of your problems are almost surely caused by a corrupt save. The most common cause of a corrupt save is not following the "golden rule" as described here. Your only solution is to start a new game. Regarding a gag-less version... you already have that option. In MCM "none" can be selected for the gag. The only exception is the bridle gag you get until you finish saving Cassia and get it's key.

Would really defeat the purpose. Sounds like maybe your main issue here is "problems with animations". If they are animations from this mod, maybe explain more specifically as this is not normal and might be solved. See also the Troubleshooting section in case your specific problem is there. If you are stuck in an animation from this mod, use this mod's MCM player reset (Misc Tab).

It would defeat the purpose but , since this is still a game, it would add freedom of choice in case someone would want to continue the storyline the normal way. Most, if not all, other mods i use do have this feature. My problem with the animations is a generl problem, not directly related to your mot. It is a lot better since in got the latest version of ZAZ animations but some animation are still broken. How long will it usually take untill virgin training is completed and i can remove devices with the MCM?

From first meeting with Nocturnal, it's likely 1.5 to 3 hours depending on how you play the game. Virgin Training ends with you receiving the keys which allow you to remove devices. MCM is the alternate way (if you have the keys).
