Shinedown has some really good choruses.

They're a band that gets labeled "butt rock"(a disparaging term that otherwise has no meaning), but are legitimately pretty awesome.

Quite a few bands/artists get called names or the like to try and bring them down. You could probably find many examples of people hating on whole damn genres and insinuating you're an idiot for liking it just because they don't like it.

Hasn't basically any metal genre been like that for the past decades?

Anyways, speaking of metal, here's one of my favorite Týr songs, Hel Hath No Fury!

I LOVE One Ok Rock! I actually saw them in concert before they signed on with Fueled By Ramen.

Ooh well that's nice! Last time I saw them was The Beginning tour way back in 2012 also I'm glad that I'm not the only one who loves them, cheers mate! :coffee:

It is a lot of time I am not listening to any music. Probably months.

Before I always had some background music while working or developing or creating mods.

I should restart.

Let's go with Shiva Chandra - Spicy Moments.

Mostly soundtracks from games and movies, or classical stuff. Lots of strings, brass and percussion.

Though I also enjoy power metal, synthwave and synth metal, and some old school pop and rock bands. Anything with that bombastic oomph really.

Didn't realize Iron Maiden is still making new music... until now.

Jeesh, I really miss my Heavy Metal Magazine subscription.     Getting older and trying to be a "responsible parent" has some drawbacks.

My playlist is about this wide in selections.     Requirements to be on my list 1) Be Awesome, 2) have hot girls, or 3) strippers.    Interestingly, rock around the clock was changed back in the 50s, because it was originally titled "Rock around the pole".

I was listening to some black metal like Rotting Christ, Melechech or Behemoth. After 2020 switched to Scandinavian/Germanic folk like Danheim, Wardruna, Munkorr, Heilung, Nytt Land. Last one is a Siberian, underrated band which has Nordic compositions too.

Everything too popular becomes bullshit, so some day I may start hating neofolk too.

There are more than a half dozen of us who remember.    Though I am young enough to  think this version was better:

I thought we could have a litte chitchat about music. :)

What music do you listen to? Is there a specific genre you prefer or do you rather listen everything all over the place? Since when do you listen to the music you listen to now?

Is music important for you?

Do you have special occasions in which you listen to special music?

Well, that's everything that comes to my mind so far. :D

I absolutely prefer Heavy Metal, namely the extreme subgenres Black and Death Metal with a ~90% focus on Black Metal. I listen to Black Metal since... approximately 7 years or so and since then it has become quite my everyday music. I can listen to it in every occasion, be it playing video games, washing or trying to sleep. :) I like other music too, like some medieval rock/metal, (dark) ambient, soundtracks, classical music and sometimes experimental or avantgarde, but I don't listen to them that frequently.

I mostly listen to metal. But I do listen to other genres. However I don't listen to genres that annoy me such as pop, rap, r&b, emo, screamo or dubstep. I'm pretty sure there are others, but I can't think of them.
