Has anyone figured out a relatively clean and easy way to prevent You from spawning at all?  My You is out of control; it's reached the point that I've actually had to disable SexLife in order to preserve the difficulty of the game.  No matter what I do, You will spawn and proceed to wipe out whatever enemy is nearby.  And it seems that as long as You is in combat, You won't teleport away.

I just need You gone until You works as intended.  I love everything else about the mod, but You causes me nothing but trouble.

I use 134 and have myself deselected, no YOU at all.

With both 1.3.4 and 1.3.5, if I have myself set to Excluded, I won't get approached for anything, but You still spawns (You just stands there and does nothing since You was called but not used).  This tends to create problems if either there are hostiles around that aggro on You, or You spawns in a doorway and I can't get past.

Thank you Dooge for this great mod and the time you spent creating it

running this with amorous adventures & TDF

really well done, appreciated.

The first thing I did once I got my bearings was lock Serana as A1, enable prostitution, and walked around Whiterun at night as her pimp.

Serana the not-so-bright prostitute chose to approach a cow. The cow told her in perfect English that she was straight and not into cooch. The bestiality option is off by default for a reason.

The log files suggest Lord Harkon has frequent fantasies of getting it on with his training dummies, but they're never aroused enough for the sequence to start. Many inanimate objects seem to be person-like enough to occasionally inspire a flash of interest.

The mod does work, or at least all the aspects I've tested so far work well enough to be playable. Students will start humping much older teachers in the hallways of Winterhold and stuff like that. This is somewhat accidentally the most disturbing mod I have ever downloaded. It is also flexible and it neatly fills a lot of gaps in the world, and when it does do buggy or just plain weird shit you're going to either laugh or have nightmares about talking cows being frank about their sexual preferences.

Prostitution is not implemented in this mod, so locking Serana as A1 gives you just an opportunity to see her having sex. Also animals and mannequins are supposed to be excluded - maybe you are using an older SLSL version or some other mod(s) are interfering? In my game there are lots of dummies, and I haven't seen them considered by SLSL scan since the early releases of the mod. The same is with any creatures or objects. I am 99% positive it's not SexLife's fault.

Again, to address the "YOU" issue:

  • it is going to be improved;
  • some temporary fixes have been discussed in this thread several times - please search the thread and you may even find answers to other questions you might want to ask.

Thank you. :)

I managed to solve my problem with the MCM, but there is one thing I did not like: the option that the player chooses the attributes for each NPC. For me, every attribute that the NPC has is private and can be changed only by persuasion, not by MCM.

They're available because sometimes the mod will randomly generate settings for an established NPC that are completely out-of-character. Blocking access to them would be a horrible idea.

So, Grande-farao, in your opinion player shouldn't influence NPCs' sexual preferences? So what's your take on choosing female NPCs' boobs, male's schlongs or... armour? All these are private, right? The thing is that Skyrim vanilla NPCs, with just a few exceptions, have no distinct personality. And that includes anything related to sexual life. The SL framework or SL Aroused (Redux) adds something to that, yes, but only randomly. SLSL can do this randomly as well. But then you'd complain about many of its choices (what if the system chooses that Ulfric is a bisexual victim or that Elisif is a lesbian rapist?).

In general, any idea of not letting the Player choose how their Skyrim should look like is in fact, in my opinion, just contradictory to the very nature of this game.

And an idea of persuading NPCs to change their preference through some magic means is just an "immerive-ish" variation of changing the attributes via a menu system, don't you think?

To sum up - I totally disagree with you, but nonetheless I find your opinions quite useful as they actually show some weaknesses of Skyrim in general. And I do hope Dooge is reading the discussion and it may somehow inspire him to develop the mod.

Everyone has their sexual preferences (in my case I do not like BDSM). In the case of women's breasts I use the mod BodyTypes (link 40280 in Skyrim Nexus) while the use of schlongs unfortunately the sesenvolvedor only gave preference to the penis taminho the NPC's male, but not at the given NPC body shape and unfortunately, originas use the settings for each NPC is impossible. My idea is simplesmeste standardize each NPC, but leaving criterion set by MCM or persuade each NPC or force them using magic. I forgot to give the idea of adding tags to help standardize the NPC's such as: Noble (Ulfric, Balgruf, Saadia), Housecarl (Lydia, Iona, Irileth), among others because some NPCs have honor and others do not. Nest idea was simply this: to show weaknesses (such as shyness for example) of each NPC and as I said, should have a plugin to enable these options.

No one is forcing you to use the MCM menu. If you don't want to be able to change NPC stuff without a speech check then don't do it. Stick a d20 on your desk and pretend you're making a skill check with it. There's no reason the rest of us users should be locked out of this menu and forced to add yet another plugin to our load orders to "enable" a feature that already exists.

I have not mentioned that are forcing me to use the MCM. In cases like this I can see the attributes of the NPC's for them, but if you select an NPC's, you can not only see their attributes, but how can edit.

Since you're not being forced to use the MCM, why are you so concerned about the MCM having the option to edit traits? Just don't use that feature if you don't want it.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but I have a rough fix for the YOU problem. The mod works even if YOU is dead, although his (your) dialog is skipped. YOU is flagged as essential and is immune to most attacks (arrows hurt him sometimes) so unless you have a way to kill essential NPCs you'll need to use the console.

Open console. Select YOU. Either find him by bumping into him or spamming magelight and arrows until they stick to something. Note his ID, which should be 44032d73 or something similar.

setrace nord (optional) will remove the invisibility and reveal YOU as an eight foot tall black man who now has the head of a nord.

setessential IDnumber 0
damageactorvalue health 50

This kills YOU. Now you have a large creepy corpse that periodically teleports to you. Serana will clean this up for you by reanimating it. The ash pile doesn't seem to teleport anymore.

Ok, update but now have a strange issue. At random, no matter where I am, I will get an npc voice, and its always the same voice, talking to me. I.E asking if I need anything or if they can help me.

You will notice that the originator of the voice is "you".  :)

You know I had a feeling that it was. Apparently my character is crazy and likes to talk to themselves :D

This kind of feedback makes me eager to get back at the mod. Also, there are lot of good suggestions in the thread how to minimize or completely fix the "You" issues, and additionally I have bunch of my own.

Is it at all possible to mute the player without having to turn off the voices globally?

Once more for the nay sayers that think Sexlife doesn't work. I had literally just completed the quest where Lydia becomes my Housecarl (this would be my 20 something play through). I went looking for Baalgrufs steward, thinking he was outside on the great landing at Dragonsreach. Perhaps it was a little late at night? Lydia and I walked outside. I made the foolish mistake of going to make a cup of coffee with the game running. I walked back to my PC to find Lydia having insane sex in a stairwell with a Whiterun Guard... last fling with a lover?

Took a great screenie. Trying to upload

Smudge I think Dooge mentioned way back, that you can expect some spurious dialogue events that would appear "from the player". They do not impact on any scripted events real or imagined. I have spent 2900 hours over the last 4 years playing this game from scratch. I call this mod sound.  Cheers.

Its a good mod for sure and works( didn't know some folks were saying otherwise ) it just seems my guy starts to talk randomly. I.E like when I'm sneaking through a dungeon. I like to have followers with me at all times so I'm sure that doesn't help. The bulk of this mod's dialogue is in subtitles and even the MC will use them, just think it would be a nice option to be able to turn the actual chatter off and go straight with subtitles. Either way its a great mod so far.

I think those who have used lovers comfort might be expecting that type of constant sex. I used LC as well back in the day and in that mod, sex between npc's( especially couples that lived together ) happened a lot. This mod does work, you just need to give it time.

Great point! What I do with Sexlife is shut it off (disable) when out in the wilds or dungeon crawling. You don't need party members hitting on each other when they need to be focused on killing. I enable Sexlife only in towns and at camp (AFT)  after hours when plausible relaxation might take place.

Actually, all of this mod's dialogue is in subtitles. The "chatter" isn't actually from this mod. In order for subtitles to show up, someone has to be given a line of dialogue to say. The player can't actually say dialogue, so instead an invisible NPC named You follows the player around and is assigned the player's lines. Unfortunately, since You is an NPC, he is subject to NPC behavior, which in Skyrim means he has a random chance of talking to the player when he is within a certain distance.

Hello, no show for a while and happy new year for all!

This recently released tool will be a must-have for those who wish to tweak NPCs' attributes,

especially non-vanilla ones (introduced by other either adult-themed or regular mods).

It basically shows Plugin Name/ RefIDs/ Name/ BaseID/ Flags/ Worlds/ Cells in each column

without running Skyrim itself or CK, although it's a shame that it cannot export the data into .csv (at least at initial release).

So, you don't have to rely on CK any more just to get/check RefIDs of each additional NPC

for tweaking her/.his attributes in advance.

Hello, y_sengaku, Happy New Year to you, too!

Thanks for the info, I've just downloaded the program and tested it. Works great! This is a very useful tool indeed, even without an export function. But I like the 'console commands copy to clipboard' option, very handy for creating batch files. I wish we'd had it earlier. :)
