@Hoenheim Sorry if this sounds a little pushy but are you still working on the mod? It's great where it is so far but i can't wait for some of the possible mentioned future features (or maybe i just about can hence the question) or are you taking a little break for a while? The trello hasn't been updated for quite a bit but that might not mean there hasn't been progress.

Yeah, I'm "working" on the mod in the sense that it's not finished but I can't work on it for the time being. I moved to another country and I don't have my things yet. What features in particular are you interested in?

If it's the above mentioned BV/VT connection it would be fabulous if the BT/VT creators would add mod-events to their mods or implement the mod-events that DD already have. I haven't checked on them for a while so maybe they have but idk.

He is quite busy irl ^^

I am indeed ;)

That's fine it was just nice for a little progress update so i could decide whether to start a new game or not :)

I'm looking forward to all the proposed ideas, but mostly the succubus and/or incubus enemies idea. I don't currently use any vampire mods but may do in the future.

If you are interested in Succubus/Incubus enemies, it's pretty easy to add them. All you really have to do is make an enemy put it in the draining power faction, make it spawn where you want it, and use Sl Submit or any other similar mod to initiate sex when the player goes below 1% hp and they will be able to drain the player. ^^ I might cobble something together this weekend for fun to see how it turns out, even if I only have my laptop.

If you are up for a small challenge you can do it too :)

Have you thought in the enlargment of the breasts be used for something? Like a buff that lasts, or go weaker depending on the amount of energy your breasts stored?

Haven't really, I see it more of an indicator of power, if you drain allot your breasts stay big :)

Hello, thanks for the answer on my question.

Hoenhelm, i'd like to ask you if you plan to make you're mod compatible with Vampiric thirst ?

Please read the post 4 posts before yours.

I have read this post...

In the event the creators of BV and/or VT do add mod-event in their mod, I just wanted to know if you plan to make the link between you're mod and theirs.

I think he means he's already created that possible link, and that the authors of BV and VT need to subscribe to that method.

Haha i might try it out to see how easy it might be, but i wouldn't be able to do it anytime soon due to being busy in the next couple of weeks. I'm not a modder but it might be interesting.

Love to see a patch to work with VT as well.

I am pretty sure it would have to happen on this end as I think both mod authors for VT and BV are no longer updating their mods.  At least that was the case last time I read their Nexus posts.

Posted

I just checked BV and I didn't even find a single Modevent in the whole source code. :(

Yeah I will do my best at making it work when I have time when things settle down.

Right now I'm thinking maybe my planned RP mod might be a replacement for BV and VT instead.

And I would make it as mod friendly as possible...

In a few months time maybe.

Ohhh, a new vampire overhaul?  I would totally love to see that.   :shy:

I really enjoy VT for the speech feeding (seduction), combat feeding, vampire lord powers in human form, and blood pool ideas but get super sick of the toggle powers and no blood widget.  Wayyyyy to much clicking stuff on and off each fight and super easy to forget you have powers running which drain your blood pool dry.

Hello, I've got a few bugs to report but first I wanted to say thanks a lot for this mod, I'm really enjoying the character I've made with it!

The first issue I found is minor, but it seems that sometimes after a sex act finishes the isHavingSex flag isn't being set back to 0, as seen in the screenshot below:

F8AFWXg.png

I'm not sure what's causing that flag to stay true as I can't reproduce it consistently (probably a conflict with how another mod ends an encounter; SL Defeat or Solutions or something) but because the flag stays true it allows me to use manual drain even if I'm not in the same cell as the actor I last had sex with (which might even have something to do with the second issue, I dunno). I'm not even really sure what I'm draining in this case (the previous actor? NULL?), but it allowed me to set up a test case for the larger issue:

The biggest problem I've been having seems to be similar to the one foreveraloneguy mentioned here back in march. There's a discussion between a few of us having similar issues here, but the TL;DR is that when zooming in on the player character my frames have been getting really low over time and at least in my case I've tracked it to something that Deadly Drain is either doing or causing to be done. In that save I took a screen shot of I get a solid 56~60 fps zoomed in with ENB enabled when I first load in, but if I press the Manual Drain hotkey I lose about a frame or two. Every time the hotkey's pressed, consistently.

If I press the button repeatedly for about twenty seconds I start dropping frames (as expected considering the number of shader effects produced) but after the visual effects fade away the frames don't come back and I'm left at about 16-20 fps when zoomed in on my character. I jump back up to 60 so long as I zoom out all the way but any time I zoom in on my character again I immediately drop back down to 16-20 fps, even after saving and reloading. I have a pair of saves now, about a minute apart where one gets 60fps zoomed in and the other sits at a constant 17, both identical except in the latter I hit the drain key a few dozen times and waited for the glow to fade away before I saved again. This gives the same result whether I press the drain button a dozen times really quickly or drain a bunch of different NPCs over a longer period, it always ends up permanently dropping frames every time the drain spell fires.

I've tried everything I can think of to fix the effected save but nothing so far has worked. The first thing I checked were the scripts, which didn't turn up any noticeable issues apart from that one boolean. Then I opened the Deadly Drain esp in TES5Edit and tried to console remove every magic effect and shader effect associated with the mod individually in case it was leaving behind invisible shaders or something like that but that had no effect either. Even blanket removing all magic effects with 'resurrect' and 'dispelallspells' does nothing. The only thing that has made any difference is to change the character's race or gender to something else and back but that only works until the next time the character is redrawn such as switching views or changing cells, which brings the problem right back again.

I really have no idea what the problem could be other than some mod conflict causing this mod to leave something behind on the character after every drain, since otherwise someone else probably would have reported the same thing by now, but I can't imagine what it could conflict with. Even disabling Deadly Drain all together won't fix a save so it's unlikely to be the sole problem but it's the only thing I've found that has a direct, visible effect on my framerate dropping.

Sorry for the wall o' text but I tried to cover everything I've tested so far. I can toss in my load order too if there's a chance it could help. Maybe it's a problem and can be fixed or maybe it isn't and can't be but I figured I should throw up a report after pulling my hair out over this for so long.

Thanks again for the mod. You guys clearly put a lot of work into it and it's awesome.

FUCK! I just wrote an equally long reply to this and then pressed backspace and for some bloody reason it made my browser go back.

I will write a shorter reply this time...

Thank you! This bug report is truly the best one I have ever received, even better then some of the ones professional production testers provide me with.

Firstly, that debug tool, I want it! Whats it called and where can I get my hands on it? biggrin.png

If you would be able to pm me a zip of the working save file and the one with low fps that would be great, I can't repro this on this machine.

Thinking I could compare the data in them and see what's happening.

Hopefully I can come up with a fix or atleast a workaround for the issue.

Again thank you for this report it's great!

I believe the tool that is used in that picture is called "Save Game Cleaner", and it can be found on the Nexus. Though you might have better luck searching for it on Google.

That happens to me all the time too and I hate it. I mean, I can see the appeal of having a hotkey to go back a page but if there's a text area on the page it should at least prompt you that you're about to lose everything. /rant

No problem for the report, as a programming student I fully understand the importance of thorough testing and reporting. I usually try to debug problems like this myself but I just can't understand why this mod in particular is causing this problem for me. It doesn't seem to be any more script or vfx heavy than some of the other mods I'm running. The tool used in the screenshot is Save Game Script Cleaner as Z0mBieP00Nani said. You can find it here.

I've PMed you the zip file you asked for. Thanks for taking a look into the problem, hopefully something will turn up and it won't be too much of a PITA to fix. I'll keep poking around at my setup as well and report anything relevant I find.

Cheers!  :)

I also met with this effect, but there seems to be managed to rectify the situation with DispelAllSpells, and application player.sms, player.sme on all the effects from Skyrim and the official add-ons.

The list of mods used has been addressed earlier in the thread, several times.

Unfortunately a lot of them are custom works not available.

Thanks again and good luck with your studies! Hope you are learning C or C++ *(probably the only ones worth learning as you will pretty much be able to program anything if you know a C language unless you are a computer scientist, a mathematician or just have a weird fetish for functional programming.)

Interesting, probably related to spell casts not cleaning up properly then ^^

You guys clearly put a lot of work into it and it's awesome.

i was getting the exact same low frame rates too, i thought its my enb or skse, tried everything lol im even using the 172 skse now thinking its a bug from skse, i really enjoyed the mod, belive cant w8 to that get fixed to can use back again, but i use almost all times K enb, and my fps hurts like hell when that bug occurs so i stopped using by now.

Yeah I'm really sorry about that, I don't see any obvious fault with my code in it self but it's related to the casting of spells or maybe the other type of effect i'm using that I cant remember the name of. In the latest version you can turn the effects level to the lowest setting and it might avoid using that effect if anyone feels like trying that out.

I also met with this effect, but there seems to be managed to rectify the situation with DispelAllSpells, and application player.sms, player.sme on all the effects from Skyrim and the official add-ons.

Mind giving a bit more detail, like what spells/effects you dispelled? I looked through the spells/effects applied to my character weeks ago, but didn't see anything that looked like it could be related.
