Hey there,

Got a little problem with Elyn. After she attacks me with the lightning and the pop-up messages occurs I will always crash during the loading screen. - Have tried disabling a lot of script heavy mods such as DCL and rebuilding my merge/bashed patches to no avail.

My game is a little borked but I very rarely get Loading CTDs and have not had an issues previously with this mod's teleportation. (Pony race/rubber abduction) is there a set stage I can use to get around this?

Here is my log any-who... it is a pretty borked save file. https://pastebin.com/4nv3zbs6

Thanks for any help :smile:

try this if you want to keep your save file, I use it a lot and have never had an issue.

Save Game Script Cleaner.

I had a strange dream that a new version of Trapped in Rubber had been released for Christmas, so first thing I did when I woke up was run to my computer and check to see if my dream was a premonition... Alas, just a dream... Merry Christmas everyone!

Well, the dream didn't say which Christmas! :smile:

Woot first  new post in the new year around here.

Hope everyone had some nice Holiday.

Hey greyspammer,
I've been meaning to ask if you changed the start quest for your mod

or thinking about changing it?

I could be wrong, but I remember Greyspammer talking about this in a much earlier post, something about changing how things start, but I could be wrong.

I'm having a few issues with this, for example the pony hooves are invisible for some reason. I have all the required mods as far as I know and don't know why they aren't showing.

Make sure you installed them properly (for DD, that includes running BodySlide).

I have a small question and I don't know, wether it is the right place to ask:

As somebody mentioned before you can change the CBBE suit to UUNP by copy and replace with the ones from DDX4 or DCUR. This works so far but what isn't working is the morphing on that mesh... If i understand bodylside correctly I need the generated tri-mesh, which I copyied too. But it does not work so far. I even replaced the suit_T_body even if i am not sure what the mesh actually is for (maybe transparent suit??)

What am I missing?

A new way to support me financially without putting up any money of your own - maybe.

Hey guys,

I'm trying something new to gain financial support for the mod. I still have this crazy idea about one day commissioning new assets that would be cool to have but none of our great volunteers can provide.

I'm now getting my feet wet on Steemit. The way I understand it, it's basically a blogging platform that stores content in a blockchain. And it's linked to a crypto currency (those seems to pop up everywhere nowadays). The interesting thing about it is that new currency isn't created through mining like with bitcoin, but through curation. By creating content and also by upvoting or downvoting, you help the system become more useful for its users. And as a reward, currency is created and allocated to the users that help with this. The more you interact with it, the higher your presumed stake in the platform, and the more money is generated for you.

This allows you to support me financially without having to put up any money of your own. All you'd have to do is upvote my content over there. And maybe leave a comment or two. This would create new currency. Some of which goes back to the curator, by the way. That's you. So I'd be making a little bit of money, and you'd be making a little bit of money as well. None of us will be getting rich of it anytime soon, but maybe it'll pay for a coffee or two.

If you already support me on Patron, please don't cancel that in favor of Steemit. This is an experiment, and I'm not sure it will work out in the end. On some level, it sounds a little bit too good to be true, but it's not costing anything either (except a bit of time), so I'm willing to give it a try.

The only caveats that I found so far are that it takes a couple of days to get your account approved, so you'd have to be patient. And the money your upvote or comment creates is related to your reputation on the platform. Which, in the beginning, will be rather low. So at first, your clicks won't be worth much. The longer you stay and the more you work within the system, the more valuable your clicks become.

And no, I'm not planning on abandoning LL or anything. You're not getting rid of me that easily! :smile:

If you're interested, follow me on https://steemit.com/@greyspammer. Let's see where this goes...

Argl. The great new forum system included the dot which ends the sentence with the link. Just remove the dot, the address is https://steemit.com/@greyspammer  without the dot. I'll try and fix it in the post above as well.

What I wouldn't give for to get the old raw code view back...

Thanks for letting me know!

Interesting premise for a cryptocurrency... basically like monetizing the revit upvote system or Facebook likes.

the problem I see with it is that it creates an incentive to post quantity over quality, feedback and reactions will always leave people wondering whether the motivation to post is genuine interest or unrelated greed.

Also, there would appear to be a gatekeeper for the coin--the forum host. This is probably addressed somehow. But... posting on the forums... does no computational work. So it's not exactly a proof-of-work style of mining? Sounds interesting though. I just wonder if the process of "mining" has enough power to give the coin value.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on this, so take everything I say with a truck of salt. But there are systems in place to prevent this. For instance, the monetary value of your actions is related to something called Steem Power. Which gets depleted every time you upvote something, for example. It then regenerates over time. So you can't just go over there and randomly click buttons as fast as possible to get rich quick.

I think it's a variant of proof-of-stake mining. The stake in the platform, to be precise, which you accumulate through participation. It seems as though the premise is that active users have an interest (a stake) in a working platform. Therefore, reward is tied to that stake (your participation).

Whether it'll eventually work out or not remains to be seen. Crypto currencies and blockchains are booming right now, so everyone and his grandma are getting on the hype train and find new ways to use them. Obviously, some of these concepts will fail, as others will manage to succeed. Which will be which - I don't have a clue.

Although it looks to me that the system may be more sustainable than bitcoin, for example. I know bitcoin is "the thing" right now. Everyone is kicking themselves in the butt for not having invested in it when it was new. And it will probably will keep being popular for some more time. But long term, I don't see much of a future for it. It has been calculated that one single bitcoin transaction consumes about 240 kWh of electricity. That's roughly what a large fridge with freezer or a really large washing machine (with 11 kg capacity) uses over an entire year. Not only is that bad for the environment, depending on where that electricity comes from. It's also expensive. Based on where you live, it can anywhere between 20 and 80 Euro or Dollar. Right now, this cost is subsidized through the emission of new coin. But that is designed to taper off. The total amount of bitcoin that will ever exist is limited. When that point is reached, people will have to pay miners if they want their transactions to go through. Obviously, those fees will have to at least cover the cost. And personally, I don't see much of a future for a payment system with transaction fees north of 20 Dollar.

Then again, I can always be wrong. Like I said, not an expert.

Currently downloading rubber porn. Purely for research purposes, of course.

If the arms are not inside the armbinder, make sure you ran the FNIS generation tool after installation everything and that in MCM for DDi, the number of slotted NPCs is set to 12 or higher.

If meshes from DD are missing, make sure you ran BodySlide to create them. And if that doesn't help, try this. BodySlide sucks (and not in the nice way), but you have to deal with it if you want Devious Devices. Nothing I can do about it.

Encountered the armbinder issue too, but it was because of scriptlag i think. After a restart/reload it did work again. Another problem i have after sleeping or sometimes fast-traveling is that MME tries to remove the suit, TIR tries to reequip it and fails due to too much breast (i think debuff from MME), resulting in an endless loop. However this only occurs without milkmaid/milkmax toggle.

=====

Next problem i encountered is that my PC is stuck in armbinder pose, after realease from the 1st pony outfit. Redoing the release  did not resolve that issue.

Try 'player.playidle zbfIdleForceReset' in the console. If that doesn't help, you probably still have some (invisible) DD items equipped that keep putting your character in that pose. Try using 'player.inv' in the console, then look for all worn items that have no name, and remove them one by one using 'player.removeitem <ID> 1'.

Are you running any mods that interfere with, or replaces scripts from, DDi? Or anything that changes how items are equipped or events about items getting equipped?

Yeah i thought so too, but Extended UI blocked my MFG console and i did not know the console command "Player.inc". Either way it did not work... my inventory is clean for the Gauntlet test and there is only one DD - Integration entry which is necessary for DD and not connected to that issue. Furthermore i do not find any active effects related to DD. There are no orphaned script entries in my savegame. I think i have to reload an earlier save and test if that issue persists.

A pity because the traveling to the Vale was a real adventure, sneaking around enemies and such. Maybe it is just a corrupted save file... I had to reload several times because of that MME equip loop issue. Stay tuned :smiley:

=======

Issue seems to be resolved after replaying the quest. Funny thing is though that the bound animation did not work with the armbinder during the quest again, what solves the problem in a way...

=====

Haha and it goes on and one... During the gauntlet test I am not able to equip the armbinder and the door won't open, but can be bypassed via unlock command. the other devices work fine.

Hey fellas!

I could use some help on something: I'm looking for an outfit. Sweater plus skirt. Something modest. More bland than skimpy. Something that the prototypical female librarian might wear.

The only thing I found that seemed like a match was Lunas Sweater Outfits (edit: link fixed - hopefully). However, the NIFs are weird. Even though it's officially a Skyrim mod, the file format numbers don't match what you'd normally see with Skyrim NIFs. When I try to use them as they are, all I get is a "missing mesh" replacer (the red diamond with the exclamation mark inside). When I import them into a trial version of 3Ds Max 2017 and export them again with what seem like reasonable settings to me, the NIFs seem to be more in line with what I can see in other outfits for Skyrim (version numbers, NiTriShapes instead of NiTriStrips, etc.) However, loading the NIFs into the CK causes it to crash. Loading it in the game works in the sense that the game doesn't crash and the outfit is visible. But it's also not animated. The outfit is stuck in a T-pose while the hands and head of the actor are floating around it. Looks kinda funny, but it's not what I want.

Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or does anyone know of another, similar outfit that I could use instead?

but modest skirts? skirts in skyrim tend to be rather short ;-)

Yes, I saw that. But I'm missing a skirt. I tried to combine that sweater with a skirt from Asharas Romantic Dresses (or Outfits or something), but the two items clip through each other. Doesn't look good.
