Finally completed the mod, holy shit that was way more content than I expected, great job!

Though... I did run into another bug - in the epilogue and teleportation to the tower, character remains stuck, and no NPCs are teleported out of the room, I used the tir_debug_restoregameplay quest to fix it, but Mistress and some slaves are in the tower (Mistress is in her room). The basement door guard is gone too, so it is not possible to leave. Tried reloading earlier save, still same problem.

What's the stage of tir_twr_epilog01?

The quest completes, SQS shows all stages as 1, SQV shows Enabled - yes, state - running, stage - 200, priority - 70. All references look ok as well.

Found something in the log - must have been drowned in other noise last time I checked:

Off by 1 error by the looks of it :)

This is with 0.5 btw, have not tried 0.51 yet.

Edit: I looked at the code in tir_twr_epilog01_scr.psc Lines 159 - 170, I'm not sure about Papyrus, but most of programming languages start arrays from 0 not from 1, therefore ObjectReference[10] has items indexed from 0 to 9, not 1 to 10

I love mods that tell you what's what.

But this mod stopped at the end of the storyline, just like you said.

I came here and read about pony races and school,

and I went back and kept grilling ivana poritskova (the escapee).

She was gagged, and the sewer line was blocked.

I help-escape and found a script-quest that lets me fail an escape, and put me in the pony race.

Conclusion: If I'm a good little slave your quest ends too quickly.

I should fail or mouth off, something?

   0.51

I resolve to be merciful to Ivana and allow her to escape,

I just downloaded the update and plan to start a whole new game.

So (I'm still reading) I should always carry a soulgem and place it somewhere on the track?

I was a lot better at this at the party.

I'd ask someone "what do you want?"

and they told me.

Yes, there were also other errors in this script. I fixed it. Hopefully. There's now a hotfix available (0.5.1a) which must be extracted over existing 0.5.1 installation (overwriting existing files).

EDIT: @all: Coming Monday, I don't know how much time I'll have to take care of bug reports. At least until next weekend. So if you don't hear from me or I appear short-spoken, it's due to lack of time.

To be perfectly honest with you: I'm not sure.

You would probably have to apply it before the quest activates (before reporting back about Enaron's death). If you don't have a savegame from this, try this: When the Mistress gives you a day off (before you receive her letter), open the console and type:

resetquest tir_twr_epilog01

startquest tir_twr_epilog01

Make sure it's back to stage 10 after a few seconds. Maybe resetting the quest will clear the savegame.

dude holly m!!!!!  greyspammer your bloody damn amazing i just clicked this topic expecting not too much but then more then DOUBLE off content HOLY!!!!!

pretty much my thoughts exactly.

I'm used to other mods and their short update cycles and insubstantial changes, so, I think I was dismayed to not see any updates to Trapped in Rubber since its release... while all the time Greyspammer was working and compiling everything into an unprecedentedly epic update.

I'm totally blown away. It's got to be in the same scope as Captured Dreams V4, maybe bigger.

Tired with a save just after killing Enaron, worked fine. Tired on a save in the party room just before the teleport, scene just stopped.

The second letter from the Mistress is supposed to arrive after two days right? I've been waiting for several days and the courier isn't spawning yet. I got to this point before the update and hotfix though.

Yes, after 48 hours the letter is dropped off at the courier for delivery (when the quest reaches stage 20). I'm using the standard Skyrim courier system, so it's basically out of my hands what happens to it after that.

I also had occasional problems with the delivery. Try entering an interior cell, like the Bannered Mare in Whiterun. Assuming the time is up, open the console, type 'pcb' to clear the cell buffer, exit to the street and wait. Usually that gets the lazy ass to spawn.

If all else fail, 'setstage tir_twr_epilog 40' will advance the quest to the stage where you have read the letter and have to go back to the Tower.

Well, I also run into the problem with the second pony girl race. It just won't start. Also with setstage tir_pr_rematchrpe01 30 nothing happens.... Help is appreciated :P

Does the scene with Velnar and the Mistress happen?

how am i supposed to win the ponyrace 2?

i always getting the event from devious device plugs.

no chance to win it with that event :P

For starters, make sure you've placed black soul gems at the crystals. Assuming you've done that, I suggest quick saves. Sometimes you get more interruptions, sometimes less. At one point, other pony girls seemed to run faster than me, later that seemed fixed. Took me 5-6 tries. You can save mid-race when you have a huge lead, btw.

Played through the .50 version last night, felt like checking in.

Not into the whole rubber thing, but was pleasantly amazed by the quality of the content nonetheless. The mod's definitely on par with anything b&d I've seen around here so far, solid, runs pretty smoothly, great dialogue. The plot is exceptional, have no idea how the author comes up with all this, kinda keeps you glued to the monitor till the thing's over. That disclaimer about English not being the author's primary language - well, it would be better to also clarify there that (s)he's obviously pretty goddamn fluent at it, too (not that I'm really qualified to state that, but). Expecting some half assed lines/messages you'll have to guess the meaning of, can be a put off for someone deciding to try the mod out. As of now the mod doesn't get a fraction of limelight it obviously deserves, which is a good thing for me, not having to sift through hundreds of pages of this very support topic.

All in all, great work and thank you.

About a couple of kinks I encountered. ForceGreet not working: in addition to the mentioned "Rubber School" quest, there is a scene in "Rubber Toy" where Velnar should start dialoge with player character after a welcoming scene. Haven't read into the code, but my guess is using zaddReliableForceGreet script might be helpful (it deals with unfinished scenes before ForceGreet, if memory serves, which is just the case here). Another thing - don't know if .51 fixed that, but during "Rubber Abduction" when the player emerges in the Tower with a chestful of Raynila, after a short dialogue with Mistress, when the Yellow slave should emerge she didn't. Thanks to description of the quest in the mod's title page - great idea by the way - wasn't much of a problem, had to prid/moveto player on the Yellow slave, things kicked in after that. A small thing with "Rubber Finale": after killing Enaron, quest updated to tell to return to the Tower, but there was no quest marker. Not an issue really. The same with "Rubber Assassin", after killing a bandit leader (as mentioned by @dsfargeg222). "Rubber Epilogue (Mistress)": waited for considerable amount of time then noticed that the quest wasn't started (stage 0 at 0), and the timer kicks in only when it does start; probably needs to autostart when the previous quest finishes. (Epilogue... thought epilog sounded German or some Slavic tongue like Polish or Russian, n'est-ce pas?)

Small compatibility issue - had an old "Hide Helmet" mod running, apparently was in conflict with worn item detection. Kept failing "Rubber Ally", where there's equipped helmet check when applying poison to the trap door. Then again, with all the DDi DeviceHider functionality available no one in his right mind is probably using this mod anymore. Probably worth mentioning in mod conflicts section if you want to be a stickler.

Suggestions... Well the author's likely to have better ideas then I ever will, and not enough time to implement them. There are probably plans to make things less linear, like with "Rubber Spy": triggered the alarm to see what would happen, ended in a weird hunter spawning stage with no apparent means to advance the quest. I'm assuming there's some alternate ending planned, possibly a punishment for partially failing the quest, which is the thing that makes it tempting. You know - losing is fun... because you get punished! Well your player character, anyway. Much of the dialogue also suggests there's some kind of idea of Mistress-player relationship development, namely the Mistress frequently asking for player feedback - which does not affect anything for now, it seems. I agree with @Thermius about the "Rubber Toy" quest's great sentimental value: idea is, after all this talk of mutual trust Mistress essentially betrays the player, which may call for additional relationship buildup. That might include Elyn as the player's saviour. For example, the player character could approach Mistress with a request to express her gratitude to Elyn for saving her life; the player could display a grudge for the Mistress by becoming excessively polite with her (calling herself "this slave", that kind of thing), or being somewhat broken by the torture, to which Mistress would react. That is, if you are into that sentimental stuff.

Found the whole ponygirl theme - the way it's represented here, at least - surprisingly alluring. Would very much want seeing that expanded. Repeatable races for one. For that obviously there should be some kind of reward/punishment system. Ponygirl training sessions, including physical or mental conditioning, probably wearing parts of the pony outfit for noticable time periods, etc. Carrots, too.

Personally, hope to see more t&d stuff, as in "Rubber Interrogator". As player punishment, for instance, or it could be interwoven with "A Night With Mistress" quest, or it could be gradually introduced throughout the quest line as a Mistress-player relationship tool, linked to that feedback dialogue with Mistress.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, hope I've made myself readable and thanks again for the great mod.

You know, you don't update often Grey, but when you do you do some damn quality work. You could completely take out the fetish aspect of this and simply make it a new guild like a cult or something and it would be as long and as good as any of the vanilla Skyrim guild quest lines. As it stands, it is probably in the absolute top end of any adult quest mod I have seen for any game. I hope you continue this.

Using the radiant quest system to have the Mistress assign you further tasks like random pony races or having to go rescue kidnapped slaves from Bandits, or even use the system where you convinced a certain slave to go to a place to have you train new pony girls and so on would be pretty awesome, and you could use them to have the player involved if she decides to have the suit removed. Though with a dragonscale armor version of it there's not a whole lot of reason to do so.

Great, I won't be able to try this out until later today though.

"When is the next pony Race" is the absolute last place I can save the freaking game before or after the second pony race.

When I'm finally on the track waiting for the race to start, or just after the race, any attempt to save instantly crashes the game.

Plus the game cheats like an SOB making me stop and start multiple times because the plugs turn me into some sort of zombie.

I went there the day before and scattered some grand soulgems around, was that right?

I'm so PO'd right now....which probably means "great mod", thank you modder, may I have some more?

Or something.

But I really did want to win the freaking race.

Gave the newest update a try. Once again, had to restart from the beginning with a new character.

The boat is still giving me the "dismiss follower" message again, even during the "Rubber Hunt" mission.

Saving during the race worked fine for me. Apparently for some other people as well. I don't know what I could do about that.

The fact that the mod hobbles you is intended. The problem is that the race never was fair to begin with. NPCs have four speeds (walk, fast walk, jog and run) while the player has only two (walk and run). The speeds also vary based on character size. If you ever tried to follow a certain NPC you know what I mean: Usually, your character is either too fast or too slow but never keeps the exact pace.

If I don't activate the plugs, then either the player always wins (because the PC is always faster than the other ponygirls) or the player always looses (because the PC is always slower). Only the plugs add the necessary randomness to the race that makes the outcome uncertain and therefore add suspense. That being said, during my testing, I won the second race 7 out of 10 times. And I only had my own installation as comparison when balancing the vibration timers.

I may try to dial down a bit on the timings in future versions but it won't be removed completely. You could try to tune down the generic events for DDi in the MCM. If a random DDi event coincides with the race, it may be enough to make you loose for good.

Have you set the new global? It must be manually set via 'set tir_ignore_followers_check to 1' in the console to bypass the check.

No I haven't. I didn't know of that. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

EDIT: Keep getting an unknown variable. I wrote what you typed just now. Nada. Tried it without "to" in it. Nada.

Thank you for answering.

I restarted the whole game, and noticed something at the beginning of the quest that I forgot to mention before.

The lady sweeping the floor dressed in pink is the one I always go to and say "Excuse me?"

and the dialogue ends with "fine, go get her".

Most times she goes back to sweeping the floor.

I finally chose the right combination of responses to get her to go upstairs.

I have to say "Hey, I just want out of this suit!"

and that seems to get her going.

I think there are two other possible responses, which end with her just going back to sweeping.

I think I mispelled it in the CK. I can't check right now, but in the script it's listed as: tir_ingore_followers_check (note the typo).

Otherwise, try 'showglobalvars'. It should list all global variables, including those from my mod. Maybe you'll find the right one.

It still did nothing. I used the "showglobalvars" and the "set tir_ingore_followers_check to 1" command. It didn't say "unknown variable" but it still didn't let me use the boat.

Then I have to check in the CK. Maybe I'll get a chance this evening but no guarantees.
