I'm not asking to have it all spelled out for me, but a general hint as to what might be going on (if anything) would be appreciated.

After dealing with Mia one way or another, turn in the Jarls Daughter quest.

Then, go talk to Vernor who will send you to Volkar.

He will give you a chance to learn about slave training.  If you are playing a female, that's all you need.  If you are playing a male, take a female non-sex slave with you.

He will offer to demonstrate on her.  When that initial demonstration is done, talk to him again to get a second demonstration.

Then, he won't talk to you any more about it.  When that happens, "T" and wait 24 hours.  Your female who was trained will have a spontaneous ecstasy and a  120 second later the quest will advance.

Talk to Volkar again and do a third training scene.

Talk to Volkar again and take the "I want the potion option"

With the potion, drink it. And you will be under contract.

Then, talk to Volkar again and do a fourth training.

Talk to Volkar after the training and he will send you to Vernor to start the Tabitha quest.

When you get back to Volkar to finish the quest, make sure to get out of the contract (do not take the armor)

Note that the companion you take will become a sex slave in the process if you are playing a male, so make sure you take someone you don't mind having that happen to.

Also note that there is a spoiler option of the main page that allows you to skip the slave training bit and go right to Tabitha.  Also, if you are playing female, you MUST have BDSM turned on in the MCM menu.

That said, I seem to have run into a problem.  My sex slaves have become extremely paranoid.  After the first fight, they start going "Master, I hear something" or "Master, I've got a bad feeling about this", 'causing all my followers to enter a combat pose and start looking around for hostiles for a few seconds before everybody puts their weapons away and the pattern repeats..

I've tried this in many different locations with the same result.  If I tell my sex slaves to wait at an inn before I quick travel to my test destination, so I only have my 6 "Normal" followers, everything works like it should.  Curiously, I actually have a save where if I quick travel to a particular spot it's fine.  If I wait 17 hours then quicktravel to that spot, it's wonky.

My assumption is that there's some sort of time triggered encounter or something that is causing the Sex Slaves to go wonky with, but no idea what it is.  Any thoughts?  (I've also noticed that *most* of the time it goes wonky, they don't quicktravel with me, they come running up to me some time later.)

This is all vanilla dialog.  When you create these NPCs you give them dialog for a variety of conditions.  The one you are seeing is "NormalToAlert".  That means they spotted some danger and the dialog triggers.  Having lots of followers gives you more chance to spot stuff.

Understood, however as stated.  It's *extremely* suspicious that:

1.  It works just fine if I have the 3 sex slaves wait behind at an inn, but if I bring one of them along with my party of 6, it goes fubar.

2.  The only followers I hear giving the alarm are the sex slaves.

Now, maybe Lydia, Illia, Jordis, Aela, Alicia, and "YoungEager" (I think) don't have a dialog for "NormalToAlert" (though I doubt it) Which could explain issue 2.  But that still leaves issue 1.  Somehow they either have a much larger detection range, or are actually creating hostiles that are unreachable/unfindable.  Seeing as it only happens after a combat, I find it fairly likely that the latter is somehow true.  However whatever the hostile is, it isn't hostile to me, as I'm able to quick travel while the weirdness is going on.  However whatever the hostile is would seemingly quick travel as well.  As the peculiar activity continues at the new location (without a combat, as near as I can determine, though since they don't seem to quick travel on top of me, it's possible they are being engaged en route)

Which is why I suspect it may be some sort of triggered/delayed encounter, that their "pulse" is somehow aggroing before its time.  Guess I'll leave them behind and wander the roads for a while to see if I can get "past" the oddity.

so the yarl's daughter disappears from the game after you get her back to her mother?

Yes.  I originally tried using the real Jarls Daughter, but the vanilla game screwed up so much that I just made a clone of her and she disappears when you take her back.

2.  The only followers I hear giving the alarm are the sex slaves.

That's because only sex slaves have that dialog.  Vanilla followers except Mijol (or whatever her name is) do not have it.

Nope, it is strictly a vanilla trigger when the NPC detects danger.  I take Jenny and Sasha with me everywhere and the alerts I get seem reasonable.

Thank you for the quick reply (you too GnatB). Most of it I figured out for myself, I do play as a female and everything so far went exactly as you spelled it out, no problems. It was just kind of odd to not get any kind of dialog with Volkar about the contract, so at that point it's a little confusing. It's just reassuring to know that you can actually 'finish' that quest.

Oh and just for the record my potato of a computer actually handled the entire mod without a hitch so far, which honestly surprised me.

One thing though, would it be possible to normalize the audio? Some of Sasha's lines are a little quiet and when Linda does her combat scream thing there is a lot of overmodulation to the point of distortion. It kind of detracts from the remarkable voicework.

Keep up the great work. :D

PS.: The training time in the MCM, does that count real-time or in-game time? I'm asking since I like to play with a timescale way below the standard 20 and until I turned it down it seemed to take forever.

This is all really pretty easy on your computer.  It's just that some people really over-load theirs and a few of them then have problems.  So, you shouldn't be surprised.  We spent two months debugging this.

On my todo list.  I no longer have access to Linda voice, so there isn't much I can do about that.  I have added 200 additional dialog lines that I would love to get her to record, but that looks like a ways off as they are busy with RL stuff.

It is not actually either, but an estimate of game time required.  In real life terms, 2 = half an hour as long as you space bar though the sex scenes.  20 = 10 real life hours assuming you do not space bar though the sex scenes.  It also assumes that you take your trainees to Volkar for softening up at your first opportunity.

I didn't know she was a clone.

Yep, she's a clone Idgrod the younger (and named Allison to differentiate her) who was the original NPC in that slot until I gave up when I couldn't make her behave.  Idgrod herself stay and does what she normally does.

Yup, she is literally called "MiaIdgrodTheYounger" in the ck's files (i wanted her to have another hairstyle but since the hairdresser part of the mod doesn't work well i had to do it manually)

I believe you're misunderstanding.  It did seem reasonable up until sometime last night.  Finished doing all the quests for Riften (other than thieves guild) headed to Dawnstar, picked up all the quests, (doing Vaermina) then headed off to start completing them.

After the first combat, started getting the "Master, I hear something" *weapons out* wander around for a couple seconds, *weapons away* "Master, I hear something" *weapons out* wander around for a couple seconds, *weapons away*, looping indefinitely.  Tried going to different places in case just that location was glitched.  Same result.  (Sneaking helps keep them sort of near me, but again, they seem to be pulsing everything nearby to death regardless)

The Vaermina quest wasn't "Clean", one of my followers failed to be prevented from coming with me, so guessing that may have glitched it, I went back to a save just before I started it.  (I *never* reuse save slots) this time I told all my followers to wait in the inn before doing it, and the quest went "clean".  After I finished it, went back to the Inn, and told all my followers to follow me again.  To test it, I quick traveled to a bunch of locations,  (including where some of the quests I'd be about to pick up lead me) did some fighting, the issue didn't manifest.  Sighed in relief, guess the quest HAD just bugged things out, so reloaded back at the inn, and proceeded to pick up all the quests again.

Saved, and went to do the quests, and bam.  Issue manifested.  Reloaded that save where it seemed to work fine after the Vaermina quest.  Tested again.  No problems.  Reloaded post Vaermina save again, simply "quick waited" until the time of the save after getting all the quests, and bam.  Issue manifested again.  Reloaded the save after getting all the quests, told all sex slave followers to wait in inn.  No issue.  Reloaded, told all but 1 sex slave to wait at inn.  Bam, issue.

edit:

Summary:

1.  Behavior isn't normal

2.  Behavior doesn't occur with up to  6 normal followers (Even if they don't have the dialog, presumably they would still draw weapon, look around, put away.  They don't.)

3.  Behavior occurs with only 1 sex slave and no other follower.

4.  One might expect this behavior to happen if there is a hostile actor that the followers can't get to/find, so they give up, then immediately detect it again.

5.  Upon entering combat, Sex slaves do some sort of AoE pulse that can do significant damage to just about any hostile (animal/npc?) in range.

6.  Save where the only difference between it occurring or not occurring is ~12 hours of game world time.

Hypothesis:

Some sort of encounter that happens after some period of time after being triggered is being aggrod by the pulse before it's been fully "spawned", leading to an agroed hostile that the followers can't get to.

edit 2:

There goes that theory, just did another test, ditched my 3 normal sex slaves in the castle, and picked up Mia, just to see if it was somehow a glitch with the slaves I've had for a while.  However I didn't equip her.  She got Hurt into the bleed out state in my test fight, and the issue didn't trigger... which made me think.  So, got into another fight, making sure to keep her healthy.  She, along with all my normal followers, started doing the draw weapon shuffle.  Shot her a few times until she started bleeding out.  All the rest of my followers stopped doing the draw weapon shuffle, and she wasn't doing it either when she recovered.  Think that pretty much kills the "aggroed unreachable hostile" theory.  There would seem to just be some flaw in her AI that gets cleared up when she's disabled.  (Incidentally, are the slaves supposed to "pulse" multiple times in a single fight?  Pretty sure they currently are, though this is outside, so maybe they're crossing a cell barrier?)

edit 3:

Final nail in the untouchable hostile theory.  Linda apparently doesn't know the enslave spell, (which I believe is the PBAOE everything dies thing (probably a bug?) but still get the issue using her as my only sex slave follower.  So I guess at this point I'm stumped and out of theories.  The issue definitely seems related to sex slaves, but not sure what makes the sex slaves any different than my other followers.

May want to change the help comment then.  It currently says 20 is 10 hours of game time.  At least to me, (and I suspect the other poster) that means 10 game world hours, which would be about 30 real minutes.   Probably should change it to say 20 is 10 real hours.  Or 10 hours of gameplay.

Hello

I am having problems finding Mias Castle, what is it located near?

Thanks

JustGary

As I said to someone else earlier in this thread, you can use the search function when you're looking at the global map. You have to press F and then search "Mia" and you'll find the castle.

I saw someone using this together with Paradise halls a couplke of days ago and i was wondering how well they worked together. Doe you get problems with selling the slaves with that mod? What dialogue does it use (the template aka FemaleEventoned or the Original npc's dialogue)?

Posted

Just a couple of notes if you are considering making trainable / sellable slaves:

A lot of mods have tried it - none work well.

Selling or confining a Unique has a wide range of problems, mostly related to the Radiant Quests.

A disabled Unique in a storage facility can be selected by Radiant and moved to the Quest location.

That Quest is then broken. No way to get them to respond correctly.

Named bandits stored in a cage for display can get moved to their spawn point - still in the cage. Not fatal, but disconcerting.

Slave mods that create clones as part of the enslavement process are intrinsically broken. Normal behavior is gone for good.

The very best mod for preserving behavior is this one. A Slave Faction (removable) is the way to go.

Best to disallow selling Uniques at all. There is nothing you can do to Maven (other than make her a sex slave) that won't break something else.

What this mod did with Allison seems like a pretty safe way to add quest / selling enslaving targets. Just make them NPCs the game will never miss.

Excuse me - I need to go sell some generic bandits...

It is south of Morthal and Cold Rock Pass at the south edge of the mountain.

Sometimes when I'm training a slave, he loses dialogue training and returns to its default settings dialogs and I can continue training. Someone else happens? I have looked but can not find the pos

Can you provide more details?  How are you talking to and where are you talking to them at.  If you are in the dungeon, You have to get Volkar to chain them up for you.

I just saw your warning for the hairdresser part. I hope you didn't put it up because i was the only one who has this bug? Maybe write in the description something like "If you really want to test this, use at your own risk" or something. For all i know it's just something that my stupid laptop might throw up for no reason because it has it's quirks now and then.

Thanks, but I am dense.  I don't see a problem with either pic.

Thanks again for the bug report.

It is not just you, I tested it myself and had the same issue.  Whenever you get the fast travel screen by changing locations, any NPC you changed hair on has a grey face.  I researched the issue and found that a similar function call to the one I used is known by Bethesda and can't be fixed until Bethesda fixes the grey face issue altogether.

@fishburger67 - I may have an idea for an solution to the "Grey Face Bug", though it may require some extra development work (possibly in C++ or C#). It could potentially solve the issue for future modifications in all Skyrim modding communities.

It is this an SKSE plugin could dynamically intelligently in the background generate the necessary (meshes, textures and/or other data) files to fix the bug. This would occur every so often at regular intervals and/or when a save game event occurs.

I'm wondering whether the code to generate the "Grey Face Bug" fix files is present in the game engine, creation kit or in another SKSE plugin?

Thanks, I'll go in game and see if I can spot something from the angle you show.

I am guessing that the grey face bug is in the game engine.  The functions to change head parts is in SKSE however.

I am a C++ expert, but I have no idea how to generate meshes and textures.  Something I never got into.  The meshes are text files that I should be able to handle, but the DDS files are binary as far as I know.

I actually tried trapping the change location and regenerating the face using SKSE function calls, but that did not fix the problem.  Gonna take some intimate knowledge of the game engine and SKSE that I do not have.  But, it would be nice to fix that grey face bug for everyone.

I'm not bothered by such minor issues, there are tons in the vanilla game.

On the other hand, I was playing the quest again with a different character and at the point when you're supposed to talk to the kajit he wouldn't say anything.

I had a follower from puppet master which I assume he did not recognized. So I just killed him and took the key. Was that a feature of the mod? I got the proper quest update and a map marker and everything worked fine?

I have two errore repeating.

1- While I'm training my slave follower, Suddenly, his dialogue changes and can not give food or tell him to kneel, your options are default before being slave.

2- if I can get through the workout, when I last blowjob. Then I can not talk to her. I speak and she just screams, and no bind me

Can someone help

PS: Brutal mod. Nice job
