008zulu Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I don't know anything about modding, but could it be written to automatically holster the weapon, or delay the effect until combat is resolved?
Guffel Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 I don't know anything about modding, but could it be written to automatically holster the weapon, or delay the effect until combat is resolved? Yes, all of this. I'm already on it.
crudo Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Guffel, I've read through the last three pages and having nothing to add in regards to bugs or glitches that have already been mentioned. Just wanted to say thank-you. This mod has really come a long way, well done. I do have one question. In the MCM I can set the interval for tripping or taking drugs out of inventory. When I started my new game I left it at the default which was one hour. I have gradually increased it to six hours but I seem to be getting Skooma Whore reports in the upper corner about needing a hit much more frequently. Is this a problem with my mod or is that how it is functioning at the moment? And finally a suggestion. Instead of having the character trip and fall or change posture when the addiction kicks in, maybe just have the screen fade in and out and get blurry.
Kimy Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 When an older version is already installed, 0,9.5. doesn't seem to update its MCM. You might want to add a OnVersionUpdate() event to your MCM script to detect version changes and renew the menu structure.

For now try the following: - set a new intervall - diable effect - leave all menues - enable effects again - leave all menues That should make the function get the new time. I think we have already a lot of visual effects, I don't really want to use more. But on the other side, if the player get the effects he isn't taking drugs at the moment. I'll think about it. Didn't know that. yeah, i surely better add it the the mcm.
shinji72 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Hi. I'm wondering if the black out effect is compatible with mods like sanguine debauchery or is going to bread stuff during the enslavement sections.

handsandarrows Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Guffel, would you be so kind and tell me how to get to brothel questline with console commands? Like setstage and other? I would really like to see that part of your mod once, but i play to careful to ever get above addiction stage one

I would really like to see that part of your mod once, but i play to careful to ever get above addiction stage one You could do what I did when I was testing the mod the first time. Just use the console command to give yourself 100 bottles of skooma, take a bunch. then wait a bit, then take a bunch and repeat till you max you addiction then talk to the guy. Takes about 5 mins are so and works. Or at least it worked when i tested out the brothel.

Before i wrote, i tried something like this, but with taking lot of Drug from the "starter set" you can get with MCM... i got lots of screen effect and black out three times but i couldn't get dialogue. I will try again with only Skooma though!

But with the last version you can also just show up at MixedWater Mill and speak to Gilfre without the need of any addiction.

Guffel Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 I just uploaded a fixed version, 0.9.6, the weapon should now be sheathed before any effects happen. Also the effect only occur when not in combat or riding. Things like smithing or such will still be interrupted on purpose. I also removed the text messages and replaced them with a short blurr effect, cause i thought is would be more immersive.
volfin Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 It would be nice if there was a way to disable the new "you feel like taking another hit" thing where it plays an animation. The mod has no respect for any other mods running and plays that overtop of other mods that are also at the moment playing animations and it ruins the visuals. Nothing sillier than in the middle of a sex scene, you stand bolt upright and look around confused. Also a couple of the visual effects are just too much. Bothea's Deception comes to mind, it goes way too far for too long and you can't even play the game, have to go in the other room and do something else while you wait for it to finish it's 'thing'. There's one other but I forget the name at the moment. Altering the screen is fine, but you should still be able to play, it shouldn't be so bad you can't even play the game.

On the "Effects" tab in the mcm.

She just sells Skooma and Moonsugar with the other stuff (just imagine that she does it under the counter). She has some special dialouge, but I leave it for you to find out. "couldn´t think of good places", you've already shown with Angeline that there are fitting vanilla options. If you'd like to use vanilla npcs, here are suggestions: Whiterun: Saffir "While she understands that his family's past is important she realizes that they are running out of money." Happy dealing! Markarth: Garvey seems to be the man for information and other things... Windhelm: Sadri already got a shop in the Gray Quarter District and a foot in shady buisness. Riften: Hafjorg, the old lady from Elgrim's Elixirs in Riften seems to have quite the plan in leading a buisness and using her slightly demented husband as a cloak. Or someone from the fishery. Solitude: <3 Angelina, I've got a heart for skooma dealing grannies. In general, does the npc need to be in the merchant faction to sell you skooma or is it possible to mix everyone?Btw, can "Herb Tea" or "Purifying Solution" be crafted via cooking?
Guffel Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 I like the idea of the riften dealer and already want to replace the Windhelm dealer with Sadri. A NPC needs to be in the mercant faction to have a sell menue. atm only the three skoomas can be crafted at a cooking pot. But I think i make only the "Herb Tea" craftable. The PS and all other drugs are too complex to just be "cooked" by everyone.
Storms of Superior Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 When I use OBIS, the drugs drop like mad. It takes away the gold sink, and there is never a reason to wind up in a brothel as a consequence of addiction. Not related, but did you ever consider adding the Markarth warrens as an alternative brothel? Do the drugs still drop with v0.9.5 so much? I have plans with the warrens. Not a real brothel, but more a open red light district where the player (next to other addicted) can offer themselfes; without any pimp though. With v0.9.5 I don't remember if I could even keep my game stable long enough to find out if they dropped in OBIS bandits' inventories. I would ask another SW user to test this with the two latest versions. If you find out that OBIS bandits still drop too many, then I'm sure you can patch that to suppress the SW drugs' appearance in OBIS, without removing the possibility altogether. Thanks for the reply, and I'm glad to find out that the warrens won't go to waste.
JuliusXX Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 The new version 0.9.6 seems to have a conflicting script with Captured Dreams (ski_playerloadgamealias.pex). Which one should be used?

NEITHER! ski_playerloadgamealias.pex comes from the Skyui mod and these mods have both included it only by accident.
