But as you can see the problem related to my pun is people thinking that I'm moking what happened. Somehow they criticize what they defend. Just wanted to clarify: I didn't think you were mocking what happened. To me dark humour (or gallows humour) is a form of coping with bad situations. That is why I considered your pun to be that. But I guess, I interpreted the meaning of your pun wrong, my apologies. And I like dark humour in general, that is why I loved the series "Idées noires" by Franquin.

It was a big enough deal that the firearms company that provided the guns used in Taken 3 has stated they will no longer supply firearms for any movie that Liam Neeson is going to star in and even went as far as to encourage other suppliers to do the same. There is an old saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you" and making millions off firearm heavy movies then making anti gun comments is doing exactly that.

Very true, but that was back in the days of muskets and single-shot rifles. Nowadays the armies have tanks, drones, strike teams and all sorts of crazy ass firepower people couldn't have even dreamed of back then. Unless everybody gets matching rocket launchers, I doubt a civil uprising would do much to end tyranny. Well, unless everybody rebelled at the same time. I'm rather sceptical such unity could exist.

US soldiers take an oath to defend the country from enemies both foreign and domestic so US soldiers technically are required to side with and defend the civilians if the government chose to abuse their power but there is no guarantee of that as most of the younger soldiers don't seem to take that oath as seriously as the older more seasoned soldiers do therefore any and all advantages civilians can take they should hence the formation of militias and the like.
