UnEvenSteven Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Here's a crazy idea for a new Cursed Loot quest, Cursed Spectral Devices (probably needs a better name). As usual per Cursed Loot events, the player comes across a pair of plugs while rummaging through containers. Like other CL items where the player is compelled to wear them, the player proceeds to shove the plugs inside of her. All seems fine at first but then a Spectral Chastity Belt appears on the player. At this point the player can do nothing about the belt, can't unlock it and just absorbs any spells thrown at it.After being tormented by the plugs a few times (edged and shocked) the player would suddenly be paralyzed and teleported to a dungeon. The player discovers that a rogue mage from the College is behind the plugs and Spectral Belt. This is where the quest could sort of tie-in with the "Sergius's Experiment" quest from DDI, the mage used to work with Sergius Turrianus. This rogue-mage felt that Sergius' work on filling soul gems with sexual energy was a novel idea but there could be far greater uses for this near-limitless energy. He has been experimenting with ways to harness this energy and store it in a gem for a boost in magical power, not use this great energy for enchanting or recharging items.The mage explains the Spectral Belt was something new he created, previous test subjects were figuring out ways to remove normal devices he forced them wear. Even some supposed high-security devices were getting removed. He sends the player back out in to the world, the plugs will begin to charge on their own when the player gets aroused. After a few days of being tormented by the plugs again the player is paralyzed once again and teleported back to the mage's dungeon. The test has worked and the mage now has a gem to increase his power. But now he desires more and wants the power gems to charge faster than before.He casts a spell on you, summoning a Spectral Chastity Bra on the player. As before he sends the player back out in to world, this time the charging process takes slightly less time.The quest would pretty much follow this same procedure for a few more steps, new Spectral Device added, less time to charge the mage's power gems. Before getting paralyzed and teleported one last time before the mage decides to summon a Spectral Yoke on you, the player discovers the paralyze spell didn't work. It would seem all these Spectral Devices have built up a resistance to magic. You're still teleported but since you aren't paralyzed it's now your time to strike.After killing the mage the final charge is transferred into a power gem which is now yours for the taking. All the Spectral devices are also dispelled this time around, the player is finally free. A curious player may be interested in these power gems the mage was creating and may want to create them for themselves. Of course the only to charge these gems is same way you were charging them for the rogue-mage. There are tomes left behind by the mage so the player could learn to summon Spectral Devices including the Spectral Yoke the mage was going to use on you before you killed him.Charging process for these power gems wouldn't be any different than the quest's method, wearing one or two devices takes a few days while wearing full Spectral gear would lessen the time to a few hours in-game. Just a crazy idea.

First, i find the order of the Gags a bit odd, I feel like it would make more sense to go Harness (plug) gag - then ball gag - then Ring gag instead of Harness g. Ringg. Ballg. It seems to me that the ballgag could somehow hide the ring gag but not the other way around, also the Ballgag is more restrictive since you can't eat with it, so it would make sense in the progression aswell. The second thing, is there a particular reason you don't use the Latex Hoods from devious extras (http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1574-devious-extras/) The locking Gimp hood would be a perfect stage in the Damsel in distress quest(before the Harness gag). (you can find screenshots of the Hoods in this thread) http://www.loverslab.com/topic/38270-wip-latex-hood/ Gag order: A ball gag can be realistically be worn inside your mouth with a ring gag holding it inside. The other way around...not so much. Hoods: When I wrote the quest there was no fully closed hood available in this thread. They leave either eyes or mouth or both open. I think that's still the case. Being the last entry in a lot doesn't automatically mean that this mod is responsible for a crash at all, but yes, a log would help. I thought as much, but if that's true then I have no idea how to identify what the cause is. I wasn't originally going to report these crashes at all for that very reason, but the other guy whose post I quoted has given me something to latch onto and back me up. I will post those logs as soon as I generate some more. Probably within the next day or two. I had a crash-on-save bug recently that seemed to be caused by having Defeat installed without Death Alternative. I had removed DA because I was getting tired of it, and ended up with a 100% crash-on-save until I either removed Defeat or re-added DA. Eventually I just went with removing both. Yes that's a known issue. If you still want to keep Defeat without DA uninstall both, use a script cleaner and then reinstall Defeat by itself and it should work okay. The problem is caused by a soft dependancy between the two mods so both have to be removed initailly. DAYMOYL is a well intended mod, but I had nothing but issues with it. I ended up removing it (and sadly SD+, because it relies on it) and have a LOT less trouble now. Bug Report Sorry I found another. Containers aren't remembering if they've been searched. To reproduce: set base chance to 100% and repeatedly open the same container (tried on a bandit and a barrel) and you will get a DCL event every time EDIT: I tried with the screen debug on and it says that you have already looted the container but the event fires anyway FIxed! I've not had Defeat installed at any time, so I don't believe that could be the cause. Having said that, I've just realized that Death Alternative and SD+ haven't really enhanced my game experience at all. I'll uninstall them both before starting my next character. Hopefully I won't have to bother you with a bug report then.

If I may suggest, is there anything in the works for punishing failed lockpicking attempts? A couple of ways I can see this being integrated: -If the player fails a lockpick, the cursed loot base chance for that container doubles (user-definable multiplier, for example x1 through x10). -If the player fails a lockpick, the player sets off a trap (see: guards will interrupt a failed lockpicker if they see it happen) In either case, the penalties could compound: multiple failed lockpickings can almost guarantee a chest to be cursed, or the player risks setting off a trap every time she fails.

Works well, but pretty vicious if you're caught in a populated area unless you treak the default settings. In 5 min with Fillherup my characted was looking like a beach ball.
mcgorien Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Think I have found a bug, when I use refined chances for event, dead npcs trigger events at a much higher rate than what i set it to, I had chance at 5% in the menu, but when i play the game it feels like its more like 50%. But if i untick refined chances it goes back to the value that is set in the menu. This is a new save with version 4.8. I did some more testing and it turns out the problem is the arousal modifier, it was at the default value. But when i use refined values for event and set city chance to 0. The arousal one still aplies so I get events in cities anyway. So my question then becomes, is it posible add an option to turn of events completly in cities, so I can still have the arousal modifier in the rest of the game? Anyway, great mod, love how you can tweak and turn on and off every little thing in it

I tried to solicitate while wearing the clothing alternatives of Slave Leia Renewal, still the message appeared "I don't find women wearing armor that sexy ...". It really is marked as clothing, no armor rating, no symbol as light/heavy armor, nothing else is worn, still the NPCs say it would be armor.

The more you put out, the stronger the vibe and the closer you get to your O and reduce your arousal level. The lesser you do, the more frequent that electrocution would happen. This would either stagger you or drain your stamina/magicka, in addition to the penalty of a high arousal level.The plug should not or at least would not reduce the arousal level that much to make this work tho, otherwise there wouldn't be any agency on the player putting out sexual favors to maintain their arousal level. I'd imagine there would be a dilemma when locked with a slut collar lolThat and is there a way to disable the sleep attack if I plan to use Dangerous Night? For now I set all the chances to zero, hoping that this would not trigger at all letting DN do its stuff.

Then i ran to an issue. 1.How are you supposed to unequip those iron shackles in your hands, havnt found a single key for them that would work. 2. Spent like an hour or 2 trying to figure it out. Gave up with it and used the safeword thingy. Does what its supposed to. But somehow now the hood effect is stuck on. Also the safeword didnt remove the rigid corset. And when i try to unlock it with a key. It comes up with popup saying "You cannot remove this while having the hood locked on". There is no hood. Yet the effect of it stays.

Kimy Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 IMO the best combination with DA is Bleedout+Hardcore. Ragdoll effect is notably buggy (and not just for DA). Easier difficulties can cause the loop Kimy mentioned. I would personally reduce the hardcore bleedout time even further. The point of the mod shouldn't be watching how your character keeps crawling around and beaten again, but to get over it and toward aftermatch scenarios. DA is quite good mod with followers, who can save your life during bleedout. Easier difficulties are really not that fun, if you are always running around alone. Edit: Unless of course you were hitting in to "infinite bleedout" bug that was fixed in Hotfix 1 April 2015. Not sure how long that bug has been in DA, but I had issues with bleedout for as long as I used the mod, which was roughly for a year. I dumped it before April 1st, though. I was checking out its Nexus thread where loads of people posted issues around bleedout, but the author seemed to the totally adamant that bleedout is a great mechanic and works just fine. Which was part of the reason why I dropped it from my load list. Sex attacks bug: I've had a few cases where forsworn will jump my bones as if they're a non-enemy faction, if I haven't aggro'd them yet. This can be particularly troublesome when some of the other forsworn do aggro and start beating me up while I'm getting boned. Also the "power attack knocks weapon away" mechanic seems very keen on knocking my weapon on the ground, which could prove very unfortunate if I end up being dumped in an inn after the attack. I thought there was an MCM toggle to only unequip the weapon instead of dropping it? GIven how easy it is for items to accidentally fall through a world hole and disappear forever, I'm highly allergic to any mod mechanic that causes a weapon, item or equipment drop. I will extend the rage of the pacify spell to prevent hostiles interfering with your...activities. As for the power attacks, you have a point there. I will change that. I am going to investigate if/how I can track the number of lockpicks used on a single lock. If I can with reasonable effort, expect it to happen. ........ The game does react to anything with an "armor" tag on. But you can change this setting in MCM. In version 4.8, a "discover sharp object" event will unlink the linked slave rubber gloves. I have two pairs of lockable gloves and one was missing the keyword telling the game not to trigger sharp item events on them.

As you said, retexturing existing items is probably the only thing we can do to get some "fresh" items into the game. To the best of my knowledge there is nobody making new DD models at this time, so we have to use what we have.

Thanks, but I realized that I don't consider SD+ to be an improvement to my game. I like the concept, but I really dislike its dependency on Sexlab Dialogues. It bothers me quite a lot to have a whole bunch of pointless dialog options for every npc. If Dialogues was a bit more discriminatory such that it only showed up when it felt sensible to, I'd be a lot happier with it. I've also had a fairly poor experience with all of the Sanguine's Dreamworld content, as well as the shrine beneath the meadery. They both seem to cause a lot of bugs or crashing, at least in my experience. I notice that Maria Eden doesn't have that dependency, so I may give it another look. I tried it once about a month ago in conjunction with a Live Another Life start and the very first scenes I encountered seemed broken or incomplete. I assumed that was a result of Maria Eden being 'a very rough alpha version', and immediately uninstalled it.

This was a fun one, I must say Unfortunately, I can't say it went well to the end: I managed to get the keys for pretty much everything but, for some reason, I couldn't ever get the catsuit off (and everything following): It walways complained about having to remove the arms cuff even though I unlocked them already. Even putting them on and off again didn't work. In the end, I used the debug safeword. Unfortunately, while it DID remove everything from ma character, it failed to reset the quest itself. Is there a way out of it ? Is the armsband thing a known glicth ? No matter the answer, thanks a lot for this great mod: I'm having a lot of fun with it

LIked the Spriggan armor thing though heh. For ME he's done a major update which has added a whole prostitution thing in. I find it more stable than the one 2-3 months ago when I tried it out. Which is something that's independant of the actual slavery (you can just ask at the in if you can work there), so it's part prostitution mod (and that part works well) Bit of an overlap with CL in that way, but more hard core. Just as Devious Enslavement bindings attacks have an overlap with CL. Though they work pretty well together.
JuliusXX Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I bumbed into a bug and I think I have seen a post about that here somewhere, but want to mention it just to be sure it's noticed. I got the soul gem nipple piercings when looting and the message said that they are a high security restraints and can only be removed by a blacksmith. Seems like the message was wrong and it worked correctly. A blacksmith couldn't remove them and I got rid of them when I found a piercing removal tool.

Customer wanted bondage, worked nice, but i got a restrictive corset (the red kind) and when the act was over and done with, he did not remove the corset. Removed everything else though. Same happened soon after, except with a white corset.

I tried so many times to fix the issues around this item without success that I am currently contemplating removing them from Cursed Loot's droplist entirely.
unmog Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Why not like... you know, re-implement it the way you like for cursed loot, if theyre causing problems for some reason, from scratch sorta? I mean all the models and textures are still there, it wouldnt be too hard to re-add some corset effects and such to them. While Im at it, here's another suggestion under the same sort of idea. I really wish the corset effects did more than stamina regen. Is it possible to lessen the time you can spend holding your breath underwater for instance? Or increase how much stamina it takes to swing a weapon? Lower maximum stamina by a certain amount or percentage? Increase shout recovery times? Etc? While Im on that, what about the gloves lowering lockpick skill since it'd probably be harder to lockpick with leather gloves on. Maybe even enchanted in a way to lessen it like some gloves of anti-lockpicking. Could even say they're coated in slippery stuff to make melee harder. Maybe could add the ability to lock them together like the rubber gloves considering they even have cuffs on them. Im also hoping to see some new versions of the ballet heels that perhaps do more, like the other heels you included. Honestly theyd probably be even harder to walk in than the metal slave boots. Who knows, maybe you even could update the high security restraints to include new things like the corsets and other new restrictive item set if you were inclined. I really do like how they look, my hats off to whomever made them.
Veladarius Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 The issue with them has to do with removing them, Integration can't remove them if a belt is on as well. All items in Integration are based on 2 parts, Inventory and Visual (Rendered), and once the model is switched over to the ones including a belt the item is broken as the 2 parts don't match any more. Probably the best way to handle them until a fix is found is either: 1- Remove the belt first then the corset and replace the belt if necessary. 2- Consider the corset locked in place by the belt and is not removable until the belt has been. I know they are still looking into effects for the corset and a few other things but Min and a few others are taking a break. As for who made them, Koffi made them and the other restrictive items.
