Deviously Cursed Loot LE 9.0 (2021-03-09)

I think I discovered a bug with progressive mode:

My character had a harness equipped (equipped it myself) and I triggered 2 cursed chests that should have equipped 2-5 items each on my toon. However they did not equip anything. Maybe because the harness doesn't appear in progressive mode normally?

However this effectively seemed to block any normal cursed loot event (don't know about the rare events though).

Did you try without progressive to test?

Curious as I hit a similar thing via different route.  I tried the 'bind me now' debug thing, and nothing was put on.  But I'm running Captured Dreams at the time and thought it might be something to do with that and didn't test without progressive on.  It wasn't a harness, but CD unique items.

If it's straightforward could you add a toggle to Miscellaneous to allow the undress to use SerialStrip animations. You could also add some extra text in the box along the line of "You feel an irresistible urge to remove all your clothes etc" (or something along those lines), then the other text boxes can kick in

Not all that straightforward, but I want to do it anyway. :)

The bandit out of nowhere comes from Devious Helpless. They send bandits out of nowhere, and they disappear also the same way. Do you have that installed?

I doubt it very much. DH works by being detected by a bandit in range and LOS. It doesn't just make them materialise out of nowhere, they have to be there in the first place. DCL also uses the DH api to stop mod clashes so I would be surprised if this was the cause.

Yea I took a picture of said bandit and opened up its info stuffs in the command console, can confirm at least it is 100% from DCL~

I have sleep attacks unchecked. Went to sleep in my newly built Winstead manor (no housecarl or anyone else in the celll.) Generic bandit spawned and raped me. Not sure why.

Later today I got a flash bang trap, was raped, and the SD+ integration kicked in ("seeing you so helpless . . .") and it enslaved me to the generic bandit - for all of 10 seconds, as DCL despawned him almost immediately. May want to add a check against that if at all possible.

Hey there, great mod.  I've been using it for a while, but when I did a recent reinstall of Skyrim I noticed I started getting a glitch where the game would CTD on saving.  After some careful trial and error (and trying every fix I could find on that issue in general), I narrowed it down to starting after I looted a body.  I knew that it had to be one of a couple different mods if a mod were the cause, and so I tried deactivating them one by one until I no longer had the issue - as it turned out, since I've deactivated Cursed Loot, I've not had the glitch.  I've since added the other mods back and had no issue.

I don't know if you already knew about this, but I figured I'd let you know.

Same goes for this issue. I can not track down stuff like that without a log. Whatever happened there, is probably not Cursed Loot on its own (it's used by a lot of people and if it would reliable CTD when looting a body, we would have noticed that a while ago).

Please always, ALWAYS include a log when reporting issues.

Hi Kimy,

I think I've been having this same bug a LOT. I don't have any logs for you right now, but everytime this does happen, it is 100% repeatable (causing a save to become unplayable). I've started several new characters over the last week and each save has eventually become unplayable. Saving crashes the game, and changing cells autosaves. I'm not a debugging wizard, but I have noticed Cursed Loot often being the last thing in the debug log.

Would you like me to send you my logs? Does it help to have more than one? Like I said, when it does happen, I can probably generate a hundred reports in an hour.

Being the last entry in a lot doesn't automatically mean that this mod is responsible for a crash at all, but yes, a log would help.

I thought as much, but if that's true then I have no idea how to identify what the cause is. I wasn't originally going to report these crashes at all for that very reason, but the other guy whose post I quoted has given me something to latch onto and back me up.

I will post those logs as soon as I generate some more. Probably within the next day or two.

The issue may also be with another mod that does not like Cursed Loot. My current testing character is 2 months into the game (started 2 weeks ago) and I have had Cursed Loot running the entire time.

First, I want to say that I love this mod!  Everything you add is excellent!

However, I have noticed one thing, I have comments for DD gear set to visible only, and my girl wore only a Protector Belt (silver) from Captured Dreams (a custom chastity belt from that mod), and with a full set of dragonscale armour overtop, people still make comments.  Hopefully you can include those into the code for hidden gear.

I had a crash-on-save bug recently that seemed to be caused by having Defeat installed without Death Alternative. I had removed DA because I was getting tired of it, and ended up with a 100% crash-on-save until I either removed Defeat or re-added DA. Eventually I just went with removing both.

Bondage adventure bug report:

I was equipped with the rubber set and a selection of high security devices (including the yoke), and decided to play around a bit. I went into a chest and switched to my inventory and linked the gloves to see if the aerobics animation glitch would still trigger. It did.

Anyways, after getting in a good upper body workout I tried rolling the bondage adventure dialogue option a few times to see if I could get out of my gear without putting a few of the blacksmith's kids through college, and ended up on the bondage adventure quest. At the beginning of the quest it unlinked my gloves but left the yoke on. After I walked half way across skyrim and turned in the quest, I noticed in my inventory that I had the inescapable arm binder phantom equipped (showed as equipped in the inventory, but not visible on the character), and naturally trying to remove it triggered the devious script to fully equip it. Needed to take a quick trip to the debug menu to rid me of it.

Device comments bug report:

I don't seem to be having any luck triggering the device comments when I have the "when bound visibly" options ticked, when I'm wearing the full rubber set (and nothing else). I keep chatting people up to see if they'll link my gloves, but none of the comment dialog triggers.

Unchecking the "when bound visibly" box causes the comments to trigger reliably again.

Also while we're on the subject of the rubber gear, the texture always seems to get messed up when loading a save where it's already equipped. If I manage to take it off and then re-equip it, then it looks nice and shiny again.

Oh, s'fine with me.  I'm okay not using Cursed Loot (wife hates it anyway), and "noob etc" and such aside I don't even know how to pull a log.  I was just letting you know it could be an issue with the mod, but for ME fixing it was just deactivating it, and I'm alright with that.  I'm sure if it's a real problem with the mod someone else who is more invested (and knows how) will give you a log.  Previously it worked just fine for me so it could be a compatibility issue.  I never intended to whine or say your mod was faulty.  I prefaced with "great mod" in my previous post because I believe that it is.

Keep up the good work :)

Hey Kimy!

Great mod!

I got 2 suggestions or observation regarding the Damsel in distress quest.

First, i find the order of the Gags a bit odd, I feel like it would make more sense to go Harness (plug) gag - then ball gag - then Ring gag instead of Harness g. Ringg. Ballg. It seems to me that the ballgag could somehow hide the ring gag but not the other way around, also the Ballgag is more restrictive since you can't eat with it, so it would make sense in the progression aswell.

The second thing, is there a particular reason you don't use the Latex Hoods from devious extras (http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1574-devious-extras/)

The locking Gimp hood would be a perfect stage in the Damsel in distress quest(before the Harness gag).

(you can find screenshots of the Hoods in this thread)

Yes that's a known issue.

If you still want to keep Defeat without DA uninstall both, use a script cleaner and then reinstall Defeat by itself and it should work okay. The problem is caused by a soft dependancy between the two mods so both have to be removed initailly.

I was in Redoran's Retreat when a sex attack kicked in. No problem there but there's a dog there that keeps attacking the pc while the animations are playing, so it looks as if animals need to be pacified as well

Bug Report

Sorry I found another. Containers aren't remembering if they've been searched.

To reproduce: set base chance to 100% and repeatedly open the same container (tried on a bandit and a barrel) and you will get a DCL event every time

EDIT: I tried with the screen debug on and it says that you have already looted the container but the event fires anyway

Gag order: A ball gag can be realistically be worn inside your mouth with a ring gag holding it inside. The other way around...not so much.

Hoods: When I wrote the quest there was no fully closed hood available in this thread. They leave either eyes or mouth or both open. I think that's still the case.

DAYMOYL is a well intended mod, but I had nothing but issues with it. I ended up removing it (and sadly SD+, because it relies on it) and have a LOT less trouble now.

regarding the hoods i ment as additional stage not to replace the first stage, sry i did not make that clear

anyways thanks for the response

Oh right! Yes, putting another hood below the one I am currently using is something that might happen one day!

It is buggy in parts (particularly the Captured mod) but its never given me any real problems. I basically just use it as a backstop for Defeat in case I get one-shotted before Defeat can kick in

I lost track of how often it failed to properly transition from bleedout to blackout mode, sending my character into an endless circle of "recover and get killed again." I think the entire bleedout mode is utterly broken, but the author seems to think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Posted

IMO the best combination with DA is Bleedout+Hardcore. Ragdoll effect is notably buggy (and not just for DA). Easier difficulties can cause the loop Kimy mentioned.

I would personally reduce the hardcore bleedout time even further. The point of the mod shouldn't be watching how your character keeps crawling around and beaten again, but to get over it and toward aftermatch scenarios.

DA is quite good mod with followers, who can save your life during bleedout. Easier difficulties are really not that fun, if you are always running around alone.

Edit: Unless of course you were hitting in to "infinite bleedout" bug that was fixed in Hotfix 1 April 2015.

Sex attacks bug:

I've had a few cases where forsworn will jump my bones as if they're a non-enemy faction, if I haven't aggro'd them yet. This can be particularly troublesome when some of the other forsworn do aggro and start beating me up while I'm getting boned.

Also the "power attack knocks weapon away" mechanic seems very keen on knocking my weapon on the ground, which could prove very unfortunate if I end up being dumped in an inn after the attack. I thought there was an MCM toggle to only unequip the weapon instead of dropping it? GIven how easy it is for items to accidentally fall through a world hole and disappear forever, I'm highly allergic to any mod mechanic that causes a weapon, item or equipment drop.
