What i do with DCL

 

1) Install it with NMM unpack and install

 

2) Retry because it stopped at 52 %

 

3) Retry again because it stopped again

 

4) Insult my computer and retry again, just touch the mouse to not make it go on the screen saver

 

later....

 

5) When it finished installing at 100% I dance a little bit then extract  with my zip program the original mod that i downloaded in another directory and take the textures folder that i want

    and put them in the textures folder of the data folder in skyrim.

 

(the path are the same you just have to check what resolution you want i use the 1k.  And then i enjoy DCL with no purple decice or head.

 

I hope that i was clear wouldn't want to mess your skyrim

Any guide on how to install it manually? I'm not really experienced with this sort of stuff

 

It sounds like your NMM is failing to start the FOMOD installer, you could try repacking the mod.  Extract the mod to a folder and you'll see it is nicely organized into folders with numbers and text.  You need:

 

00 Base

10 Tex 2048 (the other ones are lower quality textures if you need them)

20 CBBE OR UUNP, not both (chose the one for your body type)

 

copy the contents of all those folders into one folder, and compress them into a single file to install in NMM.  That way if something screws up you should just be able to uninstall your repack without issue. 

 

I really really wouldn't recommend just installing the mod manually unless you know what you are doing or don't mind having to reinstall your whole Skyrim later if something important gets deleted/overwritten.

if your nmm stopped at52% because of a crash you should test out if the install of nmm is nto corruptet in someway or if there isnt enough space to handel the data amount, i neded to lay the workspace for nmm on a different drive than it is standard because there where too less space  to handle most mods.

 

if it stops at 52% because you killed nmm on your own out of impatience: for me nmm need around 30min to install dcl completly because of its size, there are not many mods of thsi size and  ihave until now only foudn texture and animationpacks of this size or bigger.

 

if both not hit udn you get an error then it is most likely you are missing a prerequisit or just let you pc mae a hickup because you wanted to doo too much at the same time.

 

oh and because i have already meet people that do it: dont ever play a game where you are installing a mod on at the same time

Or you can use Mod Organizer and avoid all those issues, and many others as well.  Why anyone mods Skyrim and doesn't use a mod manager is beyond me.  MO is difficult to get one's mind around initially, but when one does one realizes how truly powerful it is and what doors it opens to a mod user that are otherwise slammed shut (and locked, kinda like one of those bars across the door but without the link to raise it and open the door).

 

Just my .02 cents.  If you don't agree, that's fine with me.  At least I have offered the suggestion.

This mod is 100% guaranteed to work with (the newest version of) NMM because that's the mod manager I am using myself and the only one I actually test DCL with. It probably works with MO too, but suggestions that you need it to install DCL or any other mod are both exaggerated and wrong.

All this talk about mimics avoids Lucky Charms, which is absolutely ideal for it!

You won't know it's a mimic until you equip it.

And to add incentive to risk it - I think Lucky Charms should seriously increase chances to find keys.

I use Mod Organizer with all of my mods and so far I haven't had any problems, I especially like Mod Organizer for the reason that it has profiles and you can create profiles for different kinds of play throughs. Like on one profile for Mod Organizer you can have mods that you or someone else uses for a specific playthrough but then when you switch to a different playthrough, the mods in the new profile are different than what the previous one uses and are deactivated

the time of aroudn 30min ot fully isntall dcl for me is with the newest version of nmm 0.61.8

 

if someone is still using an older version of nmm we should bin him in solitude on the market for public use ;)

You should be able to find the ID by typing "help sasha" in the console.

You can also try Add Menu Item.  It's a cheat but it can often save you from issues like this one.  Like any other cheat, if you have sufficient will power to use it only when you actually need it (like inadvertently selling a critical and unique item without realizing you've done it and 400 saves later, when you do actually need the item, don't remember how in the world you lost it) Add Menu Item can be a real lifesaver.

the compelte id of the key depends o nyour loadorder, as already said by other just type into the console under ^ help searchedthing (in this case is searched thing sasha)

 

and then add it with player.additem id amount

I have recently done a full restart on Skyrim, starting with a clean install and adding mods, all the newest version of pretty much all bondage mods (with their requirements) and a bit of nice looking mods chiped in.

 

Then I started out and when I first found a mage dress in Helgen keep, I was quite dismayed when wearing it. I did a few tests and here is what I found to happen:

 

1. whenever I wear any of the "dress" type items with armor value (like e.g. XX0D1636), my body gets deformed, most imporantly I get ugly hanging breasts and a quite unheathy gap at the hem between body and neck.

2. when I enter racemenu while wearing such a dress, the weight slider only ever influences that neck gap, with weight 0 = maximum gap and weight 1 = no gap at all.

 

I do use CBBE and did run the Bodyslide batch job, also checked the HDT and XPSME installation. nothing seems to affect the body, as long as I wear any such "deforming" dress.

 

As the dress ID is from DCL, I was wondering, if anyone experienced such a problem before and if they found a solution. So far I have not encountered any locking devide with that problematic deformation effect, so I can work around it, but I would actually like to occasionally wear a nice latex mage dress and still look good.

 

(I do have breast node management deactivated in DD-config, as turning it on makes chastity bras slice right through my breasts... but I also tested the above with BNM on and got the same results)

When you started your new game did you load a saved character profile in showracemenu to create your new toon? (I accidentally made this mistake once) If the saved char had a different base body or bodyslide settings it might not match up well. 

 

(its a long shot but thought I'd ask)

Actually it was a spot on shot... yes, the ONLY thing I took over from the past install was the preset for my favorite body, as it took ages to make me really like it.

 

I will check out, if the problem will prevail with a real new char.

Actually it was a spot on shot... yes, the ONLY thing I took over from the past install was the preset for my favorite body, as it took ages to make me really like it.

 

I will check out, if the problem will prevail with a real new char.

as you have rudn bodyslide, have you then hecked the build morphs button?

 

have you shoose the correct type of body for everything? in hte past i had make the mistake and taken a unp bodyslidesetup for a cbbe based body

 

which type of body are you using atm? have done a ful lclean reinstal lof skyrim myself over the last weeks (some damn hughe mods) andchanged by this from cbbe based cos body to the uunp body and there is a hughe difference of the bodyslideable thigns, for example cbbe instlal of dcl dont have hdt catsuits, unp install of dcl has hdt catsuits

 

your description of the gap seams form myside that ther eis soemthign goen wrong while you have used bodyslide, forgot to tick soemthign when batching or batched form something that cant be bathced to evertythign other or sortet soem thigns out and had so not all in the list

i have a small question:

is there a way to get the closed hoods workign with the dddevelopmentversion? because they are invisible, open rubberhoods are visible.

already gone through the standard stuff with bodyslide.

with hte nondev version of dd the slosed rubberhoods are visible

 

also the question if the new items of the dddevversion are already encounterable?

The bound girl bug happens on existing save games, because a few new aliases aren't getting properly filled.

 

Try stopping and restarting the quest "dcur_aliases" in the console and see if that helps?

 

I tried that on my save, it did not work :(

 

Also on a new save, the following aliases are not filled either (I assume these are the ones in question):

alias_boundgirl

dcur_alias_subduedbadgirl1 through 5

 

I also tried SetQuestAliases and ClearQuestAliases, and most of other aliases were cleared and refilled, but the boundgirl ones were not.

 

That's ok. The aliases you mentioned are filled by scripts.

 

Not sure why these silly location aliases for the bound girls don't fill, though. Meh.

 

I managed to fix it doing the following:

stopquest dcur_menuconfig

resetquest dcur_menuconfig

sqv dcur_menuconfig - quest was stopped at this point

quit the console for few sec (not sure if needed)

startquest dcur_menuconfig

sqv dcur_menuconfig - all aliases were empty

quit the console for few sec (not sure if needed)

SetQuestAliases dcur_menuconfig

sqv dcur_menuconfig - quest was running and all aliases are populated

 

After that i went to whiterun and had no warnings pop up (good sign), looked at the log and it said that bound girl was spawned in location 1, which turns out to be upstairs of whiterun bannered mare

 

This was done on an old save btw with just upgrading DCL, no cleaning or anything.

 

Lets just hope it does not cause any other problems :D

it gives quests and it gives managinquests, both are named as quest in the console, easy to find out if it is a managing quest and will not show in your questjournal with "sqs questid" if nothign happens it is just a managin quest, if there comes numbers with numbers behin, for example:

 

0 1

10 1

20 0

100 0

 

then it is a quest that you will  normally find in your questjournal

 

dcl brigns a hughe bunch of these managinquests with itself, same for every other scriptheavy mod

oh btw I found a little compatibility bug:

 

when using Bathing in Skyrim (I use it with the animation pack that is found here) and bathing, the bathing animation get's interrupted by the "cover yourself when naked" option and you can't move / bathing animation is not playing, for the time which is needed to bath ( aprox 10 - 20 secs)

after that you are able to regain acces

Not sure if I should ask this here or in the inflation framework thread but is anyone running dcl with inflation framework? I've done a batch build in bodyslide.  The problem is, if my toon is wearing a corset, her belly will expand more then the corset at higher values, causing clipping to occur. Is that something I can fix in bodyslide or am I doing something wrong?
