Maybe just do a reinstall of the carriages? If that doesn't do, maybe uninstall, use a save cleaner, reinstall. But I don't think it's a DD/DCL problem, but of DCc

 

Right, but that's what I was saying, I only used devious carriages in /previous/ games. This is a brand new save, my first time using DCL 9.0, and /not/ devious carriages. So it's not to do with that, I don't think, since like...mod organiser works in that 'modular' way that means that even if it's installed, it shouldn't be affecting my game if it's been disabled the entire time I've been playing this save, right?

But since it sounded like you disabled it before starting a new game it's possible that you have some other mod still that is causing issues. You didn't post your load order. Also some DCL quests don't let you use carriages on purpose.

 

Yeah, I thought it might have been a DCL quest thing so I quickly started a brand-new save (again, without devious carriages active) without picking up any DCL quests and sprinted to the nearest carriage, and it still didn't work.

 

I'll try reinstalling the game/some mods/running a save cleaner, though.

 

For the record, in case anyone spots anything that looks like it'd be troublesome (I am pretty unobservant lol), here's my load order:

I'm surprised at how low LOOT puts DCL, though I'm aware it isn't perfect.

Correct, but you didn't disable the mod; i can still see the ESP in the load order even if it's unchecked. You need to disable it on the install order. Mods add a whole lot of other things in the game too, such as vanilla script replacers etc...

 

Since you use Mod Organizer, showing load order is easy. It is a text file located for the current profile in: \MO\profiles\[Profile Name]\plugins.txt

Install order would be modlist.txt, but it's not needed to see as often. But you can attach files when posting. In MO there is also a button to open that folder in Windows file explorer.

If MO works as everyone says - yes, you're right, it shouldn't.

As mod managers rarely work 100% reliably - check the data/scripts folder for any remnants of Devious Carriages (still assuming that this is the culprit)

Assuming you didn't go near Helgen, and didn't start the Chloe quest by chance, this should have worked.

Just for testing purposes - do you get the same result with another coach? coc to the stables nearby if you cannot fast travel, and check that. No, it shouldn't make any difference at all, but you don't know until you've actually tested it.

If you're starting via LAL with a Hearthfire house - IIRC the carriage is already included. Does that work?

 

I wouldn't bother with reinstalling the game - mine is up and running (and crashing when it's due) since March 2014 ☕

i have the same problem since then. i started a complete new game, got a corset via console and cant get it off (after completing helgen etc). Are there any hints to fix this? Maybe completly reinstall devious devices? May there be a broken script?

You're both so right, I had no idea it worked like that! Completely disabling it in the left panel does do something, when I start a new game they work like normal (I'll also mess around with seeing if a reinstall makes that mod work, but it's not high on my priorities compared to DCL). Thanks so much! (I doubt it'll work on my /current/ save, which is just kind of inevitable, adding/removing stuff to a save in progress is...not gonna be stable, so I'll probably just have to accept restarting since I was only on Chloe, but it is a bit of a shame to have to restart...well hey, maybe a save cleaner. This is all for me to work out in my own time, anyway)

Oh, while I'm here, I don't know if the creators look at this thread for suggestions for future versions (I'm sure they've got plenty of ideas of their own), but just in case, I think it'd be awesome to have a bit more toggle-ability on the 'what counts as full chastity' thing (both for being protected from attacks and for not counting as nude for decency laws). I really love that there's a 'requires gag' toggle, but I think it'd be neat if 'requires bra' was also a toggle. Of course, this is mostly a matter of personal aesthetic preference (I don't love them myself), but it feels sensible to be able to say hey, belt, gag, that's all the holes covered, good enough.

Ok i fixed my problem. I reinstalled Devious Devices. It seems there was a script broken or something.

that option does exist. a piercing might be the cause of it, as it is a device but not restrictive one

Uh, even using the 'Safe Word' to remove and later, just use the device removal from Devious Devices doesn't work.

Go DCl debug menu and check if quest active is running. If yes then your find the option to reset quest in that debug menu. Just to be sure that you have no DCL quest like Damsel In Distress or Walk of shame or smt like that.

Full piercing name in studio (even better ID) and how you get this piercing.

Maybe you have a quest to do that is preventing you from fast travel? bound in skyrim is the long chain quest.. or no? what is the Bound in Skyrim quest??

 

lets think about this

you cant travel if:

carrying to much weight

in certain areas

wearing a device

(anything else?)

 

Also open the console, select your character, go to details, equipement

 

check if there is somewhere written a device youre not meant to be wearing

 

do the same for character, details, Spelleffects

 

Sometimes a spelleffect from a device remains although youre not wearing the device.

 

 

Also can you go back in time..  i mean load an old save, and finish the bound in skyrim again? see if you can finish it without breaking the game

Off the top of my head:

  • Chloe in the Helgen dungeon
  • The Dollmaker in Dawnstar
  • The new building in Riverwood
  • Claudius in the Whiterun market

Starting Chloe's quest will take you through a large portion of the mod's content in the form of a quest chain

Go to the first town (The one Alduin dewstroys at the beggining) and walk til you get to the room and a hallway with a lot of cells. You might encounter a girl you would want to talk to

If I remember correctly you just need a Leg Restraints key to open them.  The Unlock option only shows up if you have the correct key.

It's a bit illogical. To get know what key you need,  you need read mod esp or no other legal ways to know. Also even illogical as in some DCL quests chastity items for unlock uses body keys. How i need suppose to know it? Legally?

Hi,
I need some help. Actually cursed loot events won't trigger. Maybe there is a broken quest in the background (dcur_cursedquestcollar). In MCM "Active Quest running" is set to true, but actually i have no dcur-quest running.
How can i reset broken dcur-quests?
