Psalam Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Same as the last time in that: 1) What is the structure in the distance, and 2) Where must I be standing? Spoiler And I'll bet some rules lawyer will insist I actually post a picture. Sorry for the delay.

karlpaws Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 My own from the other night... nothing in the distance really to identify, at least not with my video settings, but... where was I? Spoiler

Grey Cloud Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 I'm thinking Autumnwatch Tower with Nilheim as the black tower on the radar. But then I'm stumped for the giant camp.

Ah, probably not a tower as such, but the ruins east of Darkwater Crossing, where the three skeletons rise when you get too close. I'm using the Atlas map markers but do not add anything else nearby.
Alessia Wellington Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Tolvald's Cave. The actual location is Tolvald's Crossing.
Mez558 Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Yes, I'd forgotten this place existed until I found it again.

I generally find it at night and struggle to find the path up in the dark. Once I'm in and it's Torvald's and Torvald's that as if the place is important and there is some major thing to discover or uncover. I always come out of it thinking I've missed something (again).

Awww ... you two are no fun. Getting those stones requires ranging all across Skyrim and doing all sorts of interesting "dungeons". The reward (finding increased gems) isn't bad either. Not that I need the money but they are the basics for making jewelry and increasing my Smithing skill. (Which I then enchant and increase my Enchanting skill and sell thereby increasing my Speech skill. All of which allows me to level up faster and get the perks in magic that I want!)
Alessia Wellington Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 19 minutes ago, Psalam said: All of which allows me to level up faster Oh, right. I forgot. In vanilla Skyrim you level up by increasing your skills.
Grey Cloud Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 @Psalam I thought you would be all for removing galling stones. 6 minutes ago, Alessia Wellington said: In vanilla Skyrim you level up by increasing your skills. I prefer to look it at as by the liberal application of sex and violence. 2

Alessia Wellington Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 While I always have some trouble finding it, it's actually quite easy to recognize. Spoiler

Is it the one off the road from Falkreath, on the other side from Roadside Ruins and Falkreath Watchtower? If it is, I always come at it from the road which is the long/wrong way.

I think you've got this, if I read your description of it right. There is somewhat a way leading there, but as you already said, it's the wrong way to approach it.

It's probably easier to get to from the east rather than from the road.
