I think I'm just going to give up on trying this mod until there's an update. Only Brutus has ANY dialogue and after he finishes speaking and walks away, he doesn't have anymore after that. Couldn't even get my stuff back from the guy outside the city by the chest without stealing the key. Disappointing, cause this looked interesting, but can't interact with anyone except the normal NPCS and the new merchant. I had tried talking to the Jarl before installing the mod, but that didn't do anything, dialogue was still missing.

It doesn't help to talk to the Jarl before *installing* the mod. Install the mod, go to Whiterun, Choose the "I don't want any trouble, here's my stuff option" the first time you meet Brutus, go talk to the jarl, then go back to Brutus and choose "you were saying?" That will bring up the options again. Choose the "please don't hurt me" dialogue to begin enslavement.

Ok, THANK YOU. That is much more helpful and specific then just 'go talk to the Jarl', I'll try this out and see if it works, even if it doesn't thank you anyways!

EDIT: Ok, that didn't work. Jarl Balgruff didn't have any new dialogue lines either. Do I need to become Thane or something before it shows up?? What exactly am I supposed to see when I go to the Jarl anyways?

Balgruff doesn't enter the quest until about halfway through the current version. You will get sent to him by Zeid.

Ok, but after I get enslaved, there is still no dialogue at all, I can't talk to Zeid or anyone else. And I never saw the "You were saying?" option either.

Any chance (in all your spare time ;) ) an option to deactivate the mod can be added to the MCM so I don't have to cause system instability by uninstalling it?

Yes, it has that option.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your intent; that option does not seem to be available at this time. Did you mean that option can be added?

That option has been added but the version containing it is still in testing so it has not been released.

I don't understand how you can be enslaved without seeing the "you were saying". List exactly what you did upon first entering Whiterun.

So it seems the navmesh issues are solved in the previously posted slaverun.esp. I'm calling that version Beta and uploading it as v20140702.

I'm unsure if the numerously reported issues with missing dialogue or quest not starting are caused by bugs, people not running the mod on new game or some mysterious conflicts. Since many people also report running the whole mod quest smoothly, I presume the issue is not in the slaverun mod.

Maybe. It happens that I talked to the jarl in my run through so it's possible I may have had the dialogue problem if I hadn't...

Well, first time, I just walked into Whiterun, crossed the bridge, and Brutus started a conversation automatically. First, I tried the "I don't want any trouble" option, but nothing happened afterwards. No quest started up, no new dialog for any NPCs, and I couldn't start the conversation with Brutus again.

Then I reloaded and tried the "Go fuck yourself" option, he told someone to get me, and nothing happened again.

The third time, I just tried the "Please don't hurt me" right off the bat, and then he put the collar and shackles on and told me to go to Zaid. I found Zaid, but could not start a conversation with him at all.

I also tried talking to the Jarl after they took my stuff without enslaving me, but nothing happened.

I'm unsure if this is relevant, but I play using Live Another Life, though I did Helgen and talked to Hadvar before installing the mod. I also use some mods that add buildings in and around Whiterun along with running SD+, TDF prostitution, and the various Populated Skyrim mods. I'm going to try turning off some of the mods that add dialogue to NPCs for the next time I try to get this working.

Do the "I don't want any trouble" one. There wont be any quest advancement announcement. nothing will happen other than you getting naked. then go talk to balgruff. He won't say anything about Slaverun - it will just be the normal game conversation. Once you're done, go back to Brutus. The "you were saying" option should be there at that point.

Tried this, didn't work. Brutus didn't reply at all. I talked to the jarl about Ulfric and which side Balgruuf was on. At this point, I'm thinking the missing dialog is the result of a bug like when Ysolda and Amren don't have their quest dialog. I might have to start a new character again and try that... Would prefer not to, cause setting up all the mods I use takes 20-30 minutes each time and is a friggin pain in the ass. Any other ideas? Do I need to talk to the Jarl about something connected to the main storyline? Do i need to download the earliest version of this and upgrade? I'm completely out of ideas here.

as i stated before, the v25 had all the dialogue with zaid and also the "you were saying* with brutus. i started a new game usin v29  and did all the tricks the others mentioned like talkin to the yarl first and then talkin to brutus again with no "you were saying" dialogue. i disabled a lot of the mods i use to see if they conflicted but made no difference. i cant understand why it wont work because it worked in the earlier versions.

...I am facepalming so hard right now. I think I may have just figured out what my problem was. I only installed Slaverun onto a 'clean' game that hadn't had it before, or in other words, a character I'd already been playing for a little while. I hadn't started the character with it installed. As soon as I made a new character with it actually on, a quest popped up for Slaverun. I apparently misunderstood what the instructions meant by new game. I don't know if it'll work now, but this is a pretty good sign. Now, please excuse me, I need to go scream at my own idiocy.

I have used Live Another Life and started as a patron of the Inn in Riverwood and as the owner of Breezehome in Whiterun and never had to start the main quest or talk to the Yarl before being sent to him as a sex toy.

The idea that you need to talk to him first does not fly. I have also checked the conditions on the various dialogues in the Slaverun mod and found no conditions on them that should prevent them from coming up other than the quest not getting set to the proper stage.

Ergo, if you are having problems with the dialogues not coming up there must be some other mod interfering somehow and is has to be a fairly popular mod because it is happening to many people.

If you are having the dialogue problem then post your load order (in a spoiler tag please). If enough of you post their load orders we can narrow down the list of mods in common and perhaps find the culprit.

Welp, turns out my problem was just not installing the mod correctly. Go figure :P. I thought that it meant I only had to start a new game if I was updating, but no. Looks like it just meant to start a new game with the mod installed from the very start. God, I feel dumb. It's a bit crashy so far, but all the dialogue seems to finally be there!

EDIT: Yeah, turns out it crashes a LOT for me at normal settings. Had to set it to Lite to be able to go 5 minutes without crashing. Probably because between this and those Populated Cities mods, there were WAAAAY more people in there then the game wanted to handle. Couldn't load a save inside the city walls either, just got a frozen black screen. Hopefully using it on Lite will fix that...

yea you definately have to start a new game with the mod installed each time you update. before, i had a new game already started and then added the mod, so that doesnt work...go figure. so far usin v702 is workin without any problems for me.

I'm having a small problem with v702. When I got arrested and used the bed to serve my time, if I was in third person, the game either froze or crashed when I reappeared outside Dragonsreach. If I wasn't in third person view, I could move around fine, but going into third person or trying to open my inventory makes me instantly crash everytime so far. Not sure why.

Say...why does this mod only works completely on a brand new game anyways? Bits and pieces of it works when I mess around with it using an existing save.

While making it perfectly upgradable from from one version to the next might be too much to ask for, just wondering what makes it not work on an existing save that never had Slaverun installed.

Bannered Mare seems to be broken. I can't load the cell at all, just get stuck on a black smokey screen for eternity. I don't think it's a compatability issue, as the one mod I used that changes the cell I tried turning off and still got the same result. I really hope I don't need to go in there anytime soon...

EDIT: Ugh, nevermind, figured out what was causing it. Don't think it was a conflict, so much as too many NPCs in the cell. I turned off Populated Cities of Skyrim and it fixed it. Friggin new mods, always getting screwy when other mods are involved...

First few times I played with this mod it was in an existing game with a level 48 player. It worked fine for me.

Do not make the mistake of assuming that because the people are posting about having problems that everyone is having them, the people for whom the mod works are often entirely silent. It is the ones who have difficulties who are forced to ask for help.

Chastity belt is flagging as a violation of the nudity law when re-equipped after bathing scene (I have the one from the devious devices Mages guild quest)

Is that in the devious devices mod or some other mod?

Actually figured out what the problem was, Populated Cities of Skyrim puts a bunch of NPCs in the Bannered Mare, and my laptop REALLY didn't like trying to load that many people. I just turned the Populated mod off and the problem vanished. My Skyrim is actually pretty damn stable normally. Its just when I install a new mod that things go to hell, lol.
