No bloat yet, so Earendil's fix (which I reinstalled) seems to be working. Thanks, Earendil! Just to be on the safe side I shall make an effort to keep my custom messages short--just on the right side of premature ejaculation--so I do not "spill over" on to another line. Jjust to reiterate: the bloat problem is a result of custom messages. The default Apropos should be fine. Gooser did warn us, and this is a beta mod, and I am impressed just how few bugs there are, in the big picture. Thanks, Gooser!

Guest Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Just tested the difference between using {TAGS} and not using them, and there's precisely bugger all difference in performance. I customised a db folder with {TAGS} for vaginal, and no {TAGS} for anal, and stock db files for oral, and proceeded to run around Whiterun going at it. No real difference in reliability of messages, either in startup or orgasm, for the messages appearing or staying. So frankly, use of tags makes no discernible difference in performance, nor do custom messages appear less frequently than stock ones.

Apropos is working beautifully. Wanted to put that out there, because I know I have been deterred from downloading mods when I see nothing but problems on these forums. Good news tends not to get reported. So here is some, with my thanks to both Gooser and Earendil. Gooser, you will probably (on a less happy note) have seen the bad news, unrelated to Apropos, that the Dude Guy is no longer going to be upkeeping Spouses Enhanced. He has offered it to whoever wants to take it over. I have long thought (and experienced ) that SE and Apropos work really well together. I mean really well. I know that many, perhaps most, users of Apropos use this mod to add spice to rape and bestiality mods (neither of which appeal to me). I use it as a supplement to Spouses Enhanced, which explains my interest in customized messages. I have seen you post on SE, Gooser, so I know you are familiar with that mod and (presumably) use it yourself. So here is my suggestion/request. Would you be willing to inherit TDG's mantle, take over Spouses Enhanced, and steer it to a bright new future that might include integration with Apropos? I can think of no one better qualified to do it. A harmonization of these two great mods (the two best sexlab mods out there imho) could create something better even than the two mods are when separate entities. Just a suggestion. I'm sure you are very busy with Apropos! But I suspect that I am not alone in thinking how good Apropos and SE would work together.

I watch the JContainers forum and keeping track of what's been added to JContainers. The current version of JContainers contains things requested and unrelated to Apropos and subsumes what I need, therefore, in theory it should work fine. Just make sure you install Apropos first, and then RP and specify overwrite.

Started a new game and while it did load Apopos in MCM, when I click on it, it shows the old Sexlab Describe picture and no options. How do I purge SLdescribe from my folder or am I missing something sitll for files?

Which is why I was asking for you guys to check just to make sure it was safe. So it is perfectly safe but I wanted to be sure. As a suggestion you might consider putting on the main page that if you see such a overwrite that it is perfectly fine and not a issue. Just so people like me don't worry about accidentally screwing up the mods.

I thought that they occurred because my custom messages added a TAG that was not in the original. So if there was {ASS} and {PUSSY}, but not {CUM}, I could use {ASS} and {PUSS}, but not {CUM}, in my customized version of that message. Is this wrong?

This is a screen shot I took, this is all that shows up for Apropos, not sure how to get rid of Sexlab describe, its uninstalled but seems to be conflicting.
nutluck Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 For those seeing a blank page how long are you waiting with that up? I only ask cause when i last update mine was blank for about 5 seconds and then it filled out the submenu's after that. Not sure why.

Still blank with that same picture from the old Sexlab Describe mod.
