I have a problem I have installed it. but there is a pic for apropos with the old describe pick. but there is no mcm options when I click it though the mcm.

Virgin is 'level 0', and can't be returned to once you hit 'level 1'. The only way to go back to Virgin is manually via the MCM.

On that note, can we get the Virgin sex-act start messages back from Describe? Apropos only has Virgin messages on Orgasm.

My PC got to where her poor little cum-bucket was "battered".

I used the "T" key to wait...... 5 times 24..... 5 days... and no reduction in wear and tear for her poor cooch. 

 

So I tried a combination of waiting and sleeping. Awake 12, sleep 12.... for 4 days.

Nothing. 

 

So I wondered if "battered" was just so severe it was going to take a long time to recover. So I went to another character, "tested" her to "loose" and again tried the waiting and waiting/sleeping. She's still a loose woman.

 

I set her to "tight" in MCM. 

First time "testing" she was tight.

Next "test" she was right back to "loose".

 

So, for me at least, the MCM override only seems to hold for 1 act. Then it reverts to default (whatever level the PC was before setting it again in MCM)

 

If you type "help apropos" in the console, you see 2 spells (SPEL) and at least 1 MGEF (magic effect?) and I think 2 of those had to do with degrading (lowering) wear and tear. Anyone know if there is any usefulness to those? I don't want to scrap a character because I abused her in testing.... by, uh.... testing

Sorry Chajapa, there currently is no upper limit on the W&T value, so if you do a lot of "testing" it probably will not go down very fast. A hard limit will be put on the next release. 

 

Not sure why the MCM menu is not resetting the value for you.

 

This is still a beta release and unfortunately there will be more bugs. You could try removing Apropos and cleaning your save using:

Just be sure to only select the clean "#' option. I've had a lot of success removing old mods with active scripts.

 

Then re-install Apropos.

What is the current time frame for dropping the weartear value? Game hours? Game days? Random?

 

Alizeryn was proud of her tight parts and wants them back. Even if it means obstaining for a while

It drops by 15 every 12 hours. So if you got gang-banged by some dragons or giants or something big over and over again, it could be in the thousands, and take forever...

I have several save games now and none of them are dropping.... ever. 

I went back to a save where she was "sore" (just 1 up from "tight") and used the "T" key to wait 12 hours. Then slept 12 hours, then did that again 2 more times. She was still at "sore". Waited a total of 5 in game days so it SHOULD have gone down, what.... 150?

Didn't change. 

 

Should I have to wait longer than that at that level?

 

If it's working as far as INCREASING the value, is there any reason to suspect that changing load order might help? It's right near the top of my load order right now.

 

And is there an in-game way to check my jContainers version? I *think* I have the newest one, but..... I need to check that too probably.

 

If all else fails and I can't get them to go DOWN, I'll change the descriptions to something more complimentary as she gets used.

GOT IT!

I replaced the jContainers.dll and I'm using the one from the Apropos install. Now I'm not CERTAIN that was the cause, but everything ELSE is working so I'm going to leave it alone unless I find I've caused problems somewhere else.

 

I WAITED (press "T" and wait 24 hours) for the entire month of Hearthfire plus 5 days and the wear and tear values went down such that all of them now say "Virgin" (but WE know better.... wink, wink)

 

This was on a save where I had run the vaginal description to "abused" , anal was at "sore", and mouth was at "tight".

 

I'm probably going to delete the save where she's "battered" because I was doing extensive "testing" on the horse at Whiterun Stables to get the displayed text how I wanted it.  

Word to the wise: That horse will make you skip right past entire categories of wear and tear!

 

I'd probably have to "WAIT" her someplace for like.... an in-game year.

 

QUESTIONS:

When you set the override in MCM (to "tight", for example), is it supposed to lock in that value and not increase wear and tear on that orifice? Or is it supposed to knock the value down into that "tight" range and then start increasing again from there?

 

AND... if I disable wear and tear for a "mission", does it still increment? Or does it maintain whatever value is stored until I re-enable it?

I ask this because Radiant Prostitution has quests that can absolutely destroy you as far as wear and tear. One is to go into a Giant camp and "soothe" the giants so they won't steal cows. You "soothe" at LEAST 3 and get extra bonus money for soothing a couple more.

Another quest is in the Companions place and you get to spend time with FIVE werewolves. If you get those quests back-to-back, your parts will never recover!

 

AND.... I am assuming that when you disable the wear and tear system, the text that gets displayed will not show the weartear_body-part descriptions?

 

Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get a handle on how this is going to play out for me.

I can recover from sessions with 3 humans per day

One "horsie ride" will take almost 6 days to recover from 

A giant costs you a week

 

A healing ointment would be a VERY welcome item.

 

I haven't tested whether or not the change of JContainer.dll will now lock the weartear in place when I use the override. I may be able to get to testing that tomorrow.

 

For your consideration:

Sexlab is already tracking how many partners you've had. If you could tap in to the number or partners and use that to accelerate the degradation number, you would essentially be allowing a "more experienced" fuck toy to recover faster from a variety of encounters. 

 

I know this isn't a paying job for you and I have to tell you that I'm enjoying this mod a lot.

I did read your post earlier and tried the jcontainers fix, but from what I can tell they were already the same version, and overwriting it with the file provided by Apropos did not fix the issue. However if you're saying it takes a month to drop down a level, then I suppose that's the problem right there, I haven't been waiting nearly long enough.

For reference, how many points does it take for the W&T numbers in MCM to increase by 1? I assume it's +100?

Ideally, what I'd like to see are MCM sliders that allow you to control things like the rate of Wear and Tear increase, the rate of recovery, and perhaps even ways to speed that recovery (such as special potions, NPC healers, etc).  Right now it feels like it goes way too fast for my personal preference.

The numbers required appear to scale somewhat. It takes far less action to move you from level 1 to level 2 than it does to move from level 6 to level 7.

I know gooser is revising the increase/decrease thing and maybe the healing thing so I wouldn't get too nuts.

 

Unless you're obsessed (like me). I've changed the wear level descriptions and the body part descriptions. I saved the originals so I can go back once the wear tear system gets tweaked. But it's a great mod and getting better.

Just to add to your list, though you may already be working on this...

 

Playing a Male PC. When he "deflowers" a virgin, the FemaleActor_VirginityLost_xxx is used. So the Male actor is tasting or feeling for the first time instead of the female virgin he's un-virgining.

Hey guys,

 

I'd really like to give this mod a shot. Unfortunately something seems wrong with my setup. I don't get any crashes or errors, but I simply don't see any of the Apropos messages. Never. The MCM menu is registered, but except for the background graphic it is completely *empty*, no item to select at all, neither on the left (category) nor on the right (detail) side of the menu. All other mods, including SexLab itself, seem to be working just fine.

 

Any hints on this?

The most common cause for an empty MCM menu is that SKSE is not the right version.  You MUST have 1.7 (which is an alpha release).  90% of us are still on 1.6.x, which is still the main SKSE release.

 

If your MCM is working and you still dont have messages, the most common cause is that your sex act is not supported.  For example, M-M and F-F are not supported (which is ultimately why I deleted this mod on my set up).

And, indeed, when I refresh the synonyms and W&T descriptions and then look in the console, it is saying that the synonyms for BOOB were loaded. I realize that ca simply be message text, but might it also be that the synonyms should be listed under {BOOB} instead of {BOOBS} ?

 

I mean... as it is it still works MOST of the time. And I certainly don't know the programming language used, but seeing this small discrepancy made me ask

What file did you add BOOBS to? The currently released version doesn't support all tags for all descriptions.

 

Internally, it is looking for {BOOBS}, not {BOOB}.
