I have a brand new original skyrim from steam. And I have ZERO experience in skyrim mods. Any help to install this would be appreciated.

Hi there!

First question: Did you get the Legendary Edition? Most mods now NEED the DLCs and many other have additional features that just work, when the DLCs are given.

And now one well meant advice: Leave this website for some time. Get basic experience with modding Skyrim, eg by STEP, know terms like LOOT, Bashed Patch and TES5 Edit, then learn to use Mod Organizer (because the next big update of NMM probably will have some of its features) and when you got to the point where you have a (mostly) stable game, modded with a pure virtual setup, then you can get back here.

It's just the fact, that many mods here rely on advanced modding techniques, such as BodySlide integration, .ini tweaking, ENB memory allocation expansion and individual patching, that you can't use well, if you don't know the basics. Learn to mod with NMM, tweak basic features like textures and game mechanics, and then advance and alter bodies, integrate custom armors and in the end, sexualize your Skyrim. I promise, you're going to get to that point sooner than you think. There is STEP which provides a well Framwork, on YouTube there is Gopher who provides some excellent video tutorials and most of the stuff you have to do right once and it's done, or you just use the same steps every time when altering something.

X is right that this can get complicated. But here is the very basics of what you need:

Start with Nexus Mod Manager (NMM). It doesn't have the learning curve that Mod Organiser needs, and is perfectly acceptable.Go to Nexus and download it and install it.

Do not bother with Steam mods. Most of them are available on Nexus and the Subscribe function makes sorting your mods more difficult.

Speaking of sorting, Google for LOOT and download it as well.

Those are the basic tools you need to start. If you use NMM, when you download mods off of Nexus, it will automatically add them to NMM. Just double-click them once they're downloaded and they are installed. Once you've installed them, open LOOT and sort them.

Those are the very basics. PM me when you have questions. :)

I just updated from the last version, and now crashing right before the cell load, happens on a new game also.was working perfectly using the last version, i run TES5Edit and it was all good.

DoN't tell me the slavery mod plus other mods are not install and forget?

Please don't.

I just want the adult content to be added to my skyrim! Is it THAT hard? :(

DoN't tell me the slavery mod plus other mods are not install and forget?

Sorry to disappoint you, but no, they aren't. Simple Slavery for example does not much by itself, it's just a platform to link several mods together (eg Defeat and SD+ from this site). Those mods then need the SL Framework, the framework needs animations, animations need the knowledge of a third party tool called FNIS, to make all look good you have to replace the bodies of actors, therefor you probably need another tool named BodySlide ...

Once you've set the bootstrap of LL mods, you mostly can forget it, but to get to that point you need to know how the mod itself, the mod management program and other third party tools work together. The STEP tutorial I've linked above gives a nice starting point, as it explains how to use many important tools like LOOT, TES5Edit and Wrye Bash. Gopher on YT also has several nice playlists, I can recommend those:

Beginner's Guide, Skyrim Tweaks and Fixes, ENB Mods, Mod Organizer

But I'd say, if you now have additional questions that are not specifically related to Simple Slavery, ask me or jfraser via PM ;)

I didnt say I'm going to MAKE a mod btw...

I'm going to USE one. Ya sure NMM can't handle itself?

When I first started, I used the then current version of NMM, into which you could more or less just dump stuff into and it would sort of work, but as time went by, making changes by way of updates and additions got a bit hit and miss

I eventually scrapped the lot and started again completely, using MO as the base tool, worked my way through Gophers vids and the STEP basics, and it really was worth the effort, both in terms of setting the game up to run reliably - I have one game that has been running for over a year now without too many desperate problems - understanding what you need to do to get some basic stability, minimise processing overhead, how mods interlink, what you should and shouldn't do in adding/changing/'removing(REALLY VERY BAD THING) to/from your game, and what tools are there to help you make the game look and sound good, as well as work out what sort of issues you might be having, where they come from and why

Really, it's worth investing the necessary hours to do so

Posted

I thought I would give the latest version of this mod a try again since you have the base version and the extended version so I completely uninstalled the old version 4.6.2 and put in the latest version. I also got rid of death alternative mod since SD doesn't need it anymore and that was the only mod that needed it. I use LAL mod and immerslave mod so I was able to choose simple slavery option right away and see what happens.

Some things I tried both with the old version and with new, had only the rubber doll collar option selected and it did different things between versions. The old version would totally block my menu access after being set loose in the wild and did not remove any restraints put on by SS. The new version of SS base version would not allow view change during auction so it was stuck in 1st person view once the auction began. Also the ankle cuffs were purple like the textures were missing even though they were not missing and the wrist cuffs were invisible. The auction stuff happens twice in a row now and double dialogues are shown after being set loose in the wild. The major difference for the new base version is the menu access is no longer blocked after being set loose and I can get the restraints off my character by simply dropping them and then the rubber doll collar shows properly on the body. My character was stuck in those chains poses even after being set loose until I dropped the restraints from inventory.

NMM is perfectly fine. I have used it for ages and still use it. You have enough of a learning curve ahead without worrying about figuring out MO as well. PM me.

thanks. Some day, when I'm not working 100 hours a week, I'll check on that. In the meantime, glad there's some sort of fix. The textures would be a zaz or DD thing, depending on where you got them. Which version of zaz are you using?

I'm using last version 6.11 I have not tried that new stuff yet. The thing is the texture problem was no there in v4.6.2 it only showed up in this latest version.

So I just want to clarify, us there no way to sell a slave with this? I've got defeat and have someone tied in a sack and want to sell them. Do I need a paradise halls type mod? Any suggestions on a good one?

sorry, selling slaves is not my fetish, so that's not what my mod does. :) I think PH does, but I'm not sure.

Yea i forgot to run LOOT after i upgraded, that fixed the ctd but slavery not reading SL Kidnapped for some reason.

you don't get sent to Kidnapped from SS, it's the other way around.

unless something has gone horribly horribly wrong, the latest version should not send you to the embassy anymore. Just hell...

I'M back, fiddling with a few things, but so far nothing happened.

I fixed:

-startup crash by realizing plugin chains for mod pieces. Good, huh?

But:

I get:

"Your skyrim is outdated." GODDAMNIT, I have a brand new Skyrim! Must I but all DLC's? WHY outdated?

What's with SKSE? What else than Nexus do I need?

Please give me a hand, that game is great even as vanilla but now I'd like some...fun you know?

Yes, you should have all the DLCs. It's ridiculous to not have the DLCs this long after they were released.

Don't like what the DLCs added? Get a mod like "Timing is everything" and disable the quests/effects of those DLCs. That way you have the DLCs for the resources for mods that use them but don't have to play them.

OK heres some more: thanks in advance!

outdated or missing skyUI

libs is none in questscript

fatal error with devious devices...

Got any ideas about these?

p:s so far no nudity, and NMM doesnt install the nudity mod. Am I missing anything?

you sure you're using the regular skyrim, and not the special edition?
