Not sure what you mean. I'm working off Lupine's version unless there is a different version out there.

I've read that you plan to change how whore armor works, will you make it function the same way it does in one of the Lola addons (i believe it was coffee tasks expansion) where you can save an entire set of clothes?

Then that's strange and possibly a bug, since previously in version 2.14.5, companions always removed items like blindfolds and armbinders, which the player is required to wear due to the deal, when they leave towns.

I don't know about other users, but my companions don't remove such items.

I just now tested older version (2.14.5) and companion removed all deal items when I leave town, like wrists binds and blindfold from modular deals. Everything working fine.

Edit: it seems tied in towns deal from classic options not working well, but from modular deals working fine in new version.

I came across some problems with the Alt Start.

 

I had a follower for a short time, after a while she demanded to be paid, I dismissed her . She equipped mittens on me and since then ties me up every night with a 90% chance.

So far, so good, although I'd prefer a popup with the message instead of a notification in the upper left corner that's easily missed.

 

I then took another follower. She asked for payment, I paid her - and she did not ask again. I lost count of days, but 3 or 4 ingame days - still nothing. But still my first follower ties me up regularly in my sleep.

 

I then disabled the AltStart, got to an agreement with my new follower - but nonetheless my first, dismissed follower still ties me up in the night.

 

I cannot say if that's a bug or expected behaviour, but it doesn't feel right. My new owner should be very jealous of me and not let someone else tie me up.

 

Some good news to the Weird Potion:

It works as expected. The person who gave me the potion either is content with my begging, ties me up or wants 1k gold.

One question though: I couldn't trigger that she asks for gold when I didn't have the money. Is there a catch or was it just bad luck?

(As I said before, this person isn't a regular follower, so she cannot be my DF and offer me deals.)

Trying to hire Stenvar in the vanilla way (actually paying gold with the vanilla topic, not the debt topic) does not work. That is a long-standing bug, afaik.

Stenvar ends up with two topicinfos ; it's the x00E051 that plays in-game, and it does not trigger hiring.  (I'm not sure I understand why some of the hireling topicinfo forms are overwritten, and some aren't, but that's beside the bug. Almost looks like a process to make some change to each hireling was stopped mid-way).

 

If there isn't any specific content intended, maybe the duplicate topicinfo x00E051 should be removed at least?

I was having trouble getting my follower to become devious no "click on me" show up yes i waited 24 hours i even waited 3 days still nothing  i had to use the debug menu to make it show up . i also had trouble with the deals working  some took a very long time work or show up  for examples the in Vag piecing deal took a very long time to work  it  took like 9 tries and the collar task work right away but also didn't give a collar right away

You need to disable the AltStart possibility.

With AltStart enabled, after some days the follower will forcegreet you "We need to talk!" and then states that they want to be paid from now on.

With AltStart disabled, you should either get a [click me!] speech option, or a "Can I rely on you?" option, either will start your arrangement.

 

Which deals you get is randomised, sometimes you have to say "no" quite often to get the deal you want (or fiddle with the MCM to disable everything else)

Which dialogue tree is the "beg for spanks" dialogue supposed to be in? I have that deal and the follower is adding debt for not begging, but I cannot find a dialogue option for it anywhere.

Seems like the dialogue was blocked by the tied in town event. As soon as I went into the wilderness and the follower untied me, the begging dialog appeared. Dunno if this is intended.

I would prefer it so that it can store several items for the whore outfit, as separate items. Especially if it's paired with AFAD - Armor Fitting and Degradation (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/151283).

 

@Lozeak Any plans for content from the Deadly Furniture by Pama (Pama´s Deadly Furniture (scripts) - Downloads - Skyrim: Special Edition Adult Mods - LoversLab), for torture and/or punishment?

I'd like to suggest a change to the piercing deal:  imho the "show piercings when talking to NPCs" is in pratice equivalent to staying naked in towns, and in fact almost everywhere (you can even have dialogue in dungeons or on the road, including forcegreets) : it's not very fun, and removing cloth/armor every time is tedious.

 

Possible solutions: 

- move the follower's piercing check from level 3 to level 2. The point is to allow the user to disable level 3 (which contains the "show your piercings when talking to NPCs" clause) without also disabling the fun follower verifications

- OR add an extra level 4 to the deal instead (same rationale, level 3 now consists of follower verifications only)

- OR automatically unequip body cloth/armor when engaging dialogue, and reequip after. Iirc DFR adopted this solution. That way, the player can keep clothes on but the PC still has to hold the deal. Yes, that removes the possibility of racking up debt for forgetting to flash...

 

What do you think?

@Lozeak There's a Redux (Framework version) of Devious Followers, which is based off of your older version of Devious Followers and Lupines. It has done at least some refactoring for one of the items for the future in it. The refactored version may not be fully functional but may aid in some of your work.

 

Well worth checking out and deciding which way to go. The downloads were placed an a dump download.

Another minor bug report:  during the game for keys ("Can you help me with these devices" > "Do you have any keys"), after rerolling, it's possible that the offer contains one-time sex  ("[...] and I get to have sex with you"). But no scene starts and it seems that clause is never honored.

I would like to get to that point yes. Where people can select a set of gear for it ingame as an alternate way of setting up the mod.

Not familiar with that mod but if I make changes you'll be able to save an outfit/outfits in the MCM to use instead of what the mod uses now. No plans to use it that but right now I don't have plans to do anything but finish making remaking the deal controller and bug fixing before I think about adding more content.

Might consider having it be an auto option. As for being naked in towns ... well ... sure if you have both deals up at the same time or even aviable there is some overlap but that won't always be the case so I don't really consider that an issue. There are also some mods that make being naked infronts of guards a crime so going to a shop and taking them off does make it a little different than being naked in town too.

As for an update... basically 0 progress this week because it's been a difficult week work and health wise (next week looks that way too but it is a will be better so I will probably make some progress on the like 100s of lines of dialogue I need add/add conditions to.

The Redux also held some bug fixes as well as new features. So may still be worth checking as if there's bug fixes, you may be duplicating effort to fix the same bug. Also using which ever fix is best.

Raplace any version of Devious Followers with this one. This uses the same code and has the same deals and events as the DFC version, but fixed some bugs, and hopefully will fix more bugs and add contents in the (near) future.

I'm pretty sure something in devious follower is breaking NFF, regardless of which order the mods are. I've had it happen 3 or 4 times now on different saves while I've never experienced this problem on older DF version or before installing this version recently.

A Devious follower in NFF will get stuck in a forcegreet cycle, trying to talk to the player constantly when near which will easily corrupt the save, if I dismiss the follower it's fixed but will start imediately if I recruit them again.

I'm not sure when it starts happening but it might be related to some kind of defeat condition as I've notice it starting after combat (I'm using Acheron).

Is there a way to alter a follower's personality? In the MCM, with the console, or through SSEedit? That's really a minor thing if not, this mod is really fun and well made. Thanks for bringing it back.

Hey, this is a great mod; I've been using it for years. Is it possible to add an option to the MCM so that followers don't automatically become devious? Not all followers are suitable for this role, but if I add someone to the team, they immediately become devious. It would be cool if the companion could switch to this role through dialogue/script/MCM.

What about the option to set all NPCs non devious in the Debug tab of the MCM? Never tried it myself, but shouldn't that do what you're asking for?
