thor3222 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 2 Functionality questions/requests: is there any real gameplay reason to have the "I want to confess to a crime." dialogue on every guard with _DFlowGuardConfessStart - from what I can tell, it always just leads to a random spanking and has zero real gameplay value added. (is it something that the devious follower makes you do at some point? if so, why is it not locked behind that event/rule?). I can of course just get rid of it with my own little personal patch, but if possible, I think it would be beneficial to have that dialogue gated appropriately. Constant dialogue topics added to NPCs is always frustrating, especially cause if you have enough mods the dialogue order bounce is going to happen and then suddenly you are getting spanked when you were trying to do something else. Milk mod economy hasn't been updated in ever, any chance support for MAL is coming? Also, love this mod so much and glad its being worked on a gain.

I'm sure this is an absurd request/question but how possible is a version of DF that doesn't require SL? Is a standalone 'SFW' version of DF ever possible? It is a pet project mod Idea I've bounced around in my head for awhile but I both lack the Skyrim scripting skills currently to make it happen and am too busy with work and other personal projects. Other Findom style mods I've tried don't have as in depth systems or are just generic tax systems which I find to be a boring style of gold sink. Vs something like Honed Metal which is maybe the best gold sink mod currently available. Or DF which gives followers some agency and adds a fun level of stress to the regular game gear grind. Either way I'm excited to see what other updated come to DF in the future. 1

Agreed, and OStim integration would be neat as well. I feel like DF already works very well in a mostly SFW mod setup.

Any time I save/reload, dialogue options disappear, MCM shows no devious follower, but follower otherwise works fine. So far this has only been with vanilla hirelings; I haven't tested on any other followers. I am using AFT, tried cleaning my save and changing to NFF but issue seems to persist. Anyone encountered this before or know how to troubleshoot/fix?

I can confirm that it works w/o issues with NFF Back on LE this mod wouldn't run properly with too many other script heavy mods, so you might want to reduce your modlist to try if it's a problem of this mod or a typical, "you can have as many mods as you like, as long as they don't do anything..."

So basically, I haven't spent much time working on stuff because well I didn't have much free time and there are other things going. Recently, I have but I didn't get the mod to a releasable state... Where I am right now... New Deal engine is working and it works. It has bugs. To go into details... you can get deal, the content works with it and you can buyout of the deal (this basic loop) MCM you can setup your deals you want, choose order there is a ignore list you can put deals in that'll you'll never pick. What needs to be done. Integration to other things that add deals and other part of the mod that save and reload deals. When buying out you get keys and the items don't get removed which could cause some problems with deals that add special devices. Randomize system for deal so you and it can set deals randomly from Deals not in the ignore list. Save and Load system. An infinite amount of playtesting to fix things (it's pointless posting it and asking for stuff yet because I know a lot of the issues and I haven't fixed them) Annoying the version of the mod I have means I can't fix bugs or polish alternate start. And once this is all done... there will be nothing new which I'm sure is annoying to people wanting new content and even though I'm creating a system people can add deal externally via other ESPs which might add more content it might be a lot of work for nothing. Not that I care, I just enjoy doing it. Once, it's done I have a million ideas as I always do. I 100% want to make an example esp so it's easy to understand how people can add more deals to content to the mod. Then I'll be deciding between making content, moving things like MME content/Spank that ass/License stuff to there own esps to make the mod more lightweight because I can tell you know if you have to work on this mod these things makes it a pain (it will depend on how much effort this will take) 6

I have no computability patches except what came bundled in this download, not sure what the "unofficial patch" is. I think it's a case of the latter, I had a heavy modlist working with the previous version of DF, but recently updated to 1.6.1170 and all sorts of things broke. I remade my nsfw modlist from scratch but I still find other little oddities from other mods here and there. This problem itself is odd though. DF remembers that I have a follower every game load (_Dfollowercount=1, and it shows 1 NFF follower in MCM), but does not seem to remember who the follower is. Not sure what could be interfering with that. Oh well, might have to give it another try on a fresh save once Lozeak gets around to releasing this new update.

For 1.5.97 you might need this (or at least you should have it installed anyways to avoid future headaches) Most of the files are Voices and are not necessary. Seeker999 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I think there's something wrong with the buyout deal prices. They go up instead of down. Currently, 2 deals that are not early buyouts are almost 50,000 gold and another one, with maybe a day to go, is over 196,000. I'm putting some other notes and info in a spoiler. Spoiler Kaidan was disabled as a DF, but still got the alt start faction. Had to mess around with removing factions, etc. to get him working properly. Don’t know how much that has to do with Kaidan - AIO v. 4.1.0 adding the option to add Kaidan to player follower faction. Lucien had the same issue later, but I couldn’t fix him. Had to make an exclusion patch, DFExcludedActors.esp, and go to an earlier save. Twice the DF has just gone. The first time it happened was after I dismissed a follower and the Ext. Follower order changed, affecting my DF. I thought it might be a fluke. Then it happened again when I had 4 deals and was in gold control. Suddenly, I had no DF. I reset the mod because the deals and gold control didn’t go away. With alt. start on I actually kind of like the idea of the DF fading in and out, for want of a better word. It may be a bug, but not one I mind.Not sure alt start is preventing creatures. When the 2nd DF disappearance occured, Meeko said something about traveling together. As a precaution I added the condition “not equal to GetInFaction creature faction” to my DFExcludedActors.esp. Valdimar was being a troublesome follower. I finally said I’d pay him later. Got out of Broken Helm Hollow and into Dayspring Canyon via Stendarr’s Beacon. Spoke to him, but there was nothing about money. Nor was anybody listed in MCM. Tried repairing. nothing. Opened console and saw he had NONE of the DF factions, even though the MCM said I could disable him. That’s what I did, disabled and enabled him, now he’s got the standard factions. Vilkas, via alt start, said I needed to pay him. I didn’t, he didn’t show in mcm nor did he ask for more money. 20th of Sun's Dawn, 4E 202 27th of Sun's Dawn, 4E 202 Valdimar said I needed to start paying him. I gave him some gold. A couple of in-game days later I forgot about this and disabled alt start. Which started a bunch of forcegreets until I removed him from the _DFAltFollower faction. Now he shows up in the mcm as my DF w/ a debt of 5000. Thorald is listed as my vanilla follower. However, he was still forcegreeting because he had the package going on and re-enabling alt start wasn’t good enough. Luckily don’t have to replay much. Valdimar started force-greeting again. I don’t know why. He’s got the alt. start faction. I checked the MCM, somehow alt start was disabled. Much as I like the idea, I’m disabling it and resetting the mod. Still force-greets. Still has the alt. start package. Used EFF to make all followers wait. He force-greeted and said I owed him money, said I’d pay him later. Made all followers follow me. Now Valdimar is in the MCM as my DF, he’s using the PlayerFollowerFollowPackage and his DF factions seem to be ok. Then there was no DF. 4 DF followers in tow (using EFF) but no one has initiated the standard “I hope you don’t cheat me...” start to DF. Many game days later still no DF. Alt start is disabled but force start is enabled and has been since the beginning. I’m trying to remember to keep a collar on (if I have one) and reset _DWill to 3 when I get into guard-patrolled areas, hoping to trigger the search for an owner. In order to trigger force start, had to disable DF, then disable the 4 individual followers as DF-able. 30th of First Seed, 4E 202 was in Windhelm and guard started the “Slave....” dialog. Enabled one follower, now have DF - Thorald Gray-Mane. Re-enabled other 3 followers. able to make deals, pay debt, ask for punishment 11 in-game days later I reset the mod. Not because of debt, but there was no realistic way to get rid of the deals without some sort of cheat. My daily debt range is 30-3000/day, Small % increase per day, 10% interest on balance (mostly paid each day), small % per follower. Contract time 4 days. Deal duration 2 days. After 11 days the deals were 166,000 to buy out. They’d gone down to 99.000 but went up again. Now I don't have to reset the mod, just disable chaos mode until I'm ready for it again. Just like when you ask your DF to punish you. I don't know if you'll damage your game or not by removing that dialog topic, but you can at least set the spanking cooldown (under Additional Content) to the max of 48 hours. If you don't want the spanking at all, go into SL Animation Loader and disable the 'DF Spank' animations. Remember to rebuild your SLAL registry if you do that.
noctred Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Not sure if this is intended, but the deal which allows your follower to whore you out to random NPCs seems to interact with ongoing scenes in an unsafe way - it either immediately disrupts the scene you're currently in (dialogue or otherwise), or the DF scene itself breaks in unpredictable ways, typically requiring the MCM to fix. Could this be adjusted to either pause or abort if the player is busy when it fires?

Don't want to remove spanking in general, just this line. And yeah, while spanking is the point of it, its just kind of a lazy implementation with no outcome but spanking. If i'm going to "report a crime" let me report a crime, not just go "oh nevermind", and its always available. With the dialog bounce bug it happens frequently unintentionally and it feels out of place. it would be one thing if it just was available when you have a relevant deal, but with it always available, its just something that seems out of place/unintentional Its like in MME with the dialogue on every npc to milk you. If A -> B is just kind of bad gameplay. it ends up feeling like a debug option.

DFC was made when he abandoned the mod, many years ago. I'm not familiar with DF Redux, IIRC that's meant to be a framework with a more flixible approach to deals, which could be added as seperate mods if someone actually wrote those. I'd expect a lot of unwanted effects if you'd try to use even two of those at the same time. 1

Tyvm, I really enjoy DFC I want to find a system where I could have 2 or 3 Devious Followers at the same time. Currently I'm messing around with: 1 DFC Follower 1 Binding Follower 1 SD+ Owner Submissive Lola is too light for my taste but I'm going to test out its 4 extensions/addons with it to make it at least 70% as harsh as DFC.
