I got Gimp but now I'm having problems getting the dds plug-in to work.  This is frustrating.

The Gimp DDS plugin isn't compatible with my dds files, due to some post-processing I do. It should work fine for creating DDS files from scratch, though.

I installed the newest race menu and everything seems to be working very well. Only problem I have is that only one tat appears on the left cheek and right cheek even if I selected multiple tats per cheek.

 

Some of the same-cheek tattoos are in the same slot. Basically only the crime tattoos are meant to be used with more than one per cheek.

Ah, no Those should work together.

What commands I have to type exactly in the console, to return to the origianl default facial expression of PC/NPCs ?

Fast Travel clears expressions but from the console "mfg reset" will do the trick.

Just a note: SlaveTats doesn't do anything with expressions.

I'm having trouble getting this mod to work. I have access to the MCM menu but when I select my char and add tattoos, I can't see anything? I do get the "Slave Tats has finished" message on screen, but no actual changes. And when I return to the menu, the chosen tats are always erased and everything is back to default.

@gdxai Are you using a custom race with a custom body?

 

Try using one of the default races (Breton, Nord etc.) and see if it works on them.

I have a little problem (I'm French so sorry if my English is not good)

 

I've installed the mod yesterday. When I play Skyrim, I can go to the option for tatoo. But when I select one and go back to the play, no tatto appaers.

 

What can I do to have tatoo?

Do you have the latest RaceMenu installed? Are you selecting your character from the dropdown list in the MCM prior to selecting tats?

I have the latest RaceMenu (I went and DL'd the latest one last night and re-installed it, just to be sure). I also have the latest SKSE. I am loading Slave Tatts as the very last mod in the load order, to negate any kind of conflict. And I am not using any custom races - my character is a UNP Nord Female.

 

When I open the MCM menu I do see the Slave Tattoo's tab, so I know the mod is at least loaded into the game. I select my character (or an NPC) from the dropdown list, select a region of the body, and select a specific tattoo. When I then close the menu I see the "Slave Tattoos has finished" message at the top of my screen. But no tattoo ever appears. And if I re-open the MCM menu everything is always cleared back to default. In other words, if I open the menu and do something like this:

Lydia --> Right Breast --> #0

 

When I reopen the menu for Lydia, everything is back to default and "Right Breast --> #0" is not "saved", if you will.

And I have tried several different NPCs, body regions, tattoos, and colours... nothing.

  click on target NPC

 

hit tilda  (`)  on your keynoard  ( to open console )

type :   setnpcweight    0  (enter)

           disable        (enter )

          enable          (enter)

 

hit tilda  (`)  on your keynoard  ( to close  console )

 

your done and you will see the tatoo layer for that npc after that !

  same command and you  can make what ever you want!

That's great, I'll try that out later and hopefully it will work. Should I do the console commands and then the mcm? Or mcm first?

it does not  matter which is which .. this is a one time thing you have to do to force the game on recognizing the tatooo layer!
at least it is like that in MY game!

Unfortunately those console commands didn't work.

I don't have the nioveride.pex  as part of my Racemenu though, where can I go to download that?
