DemonWithin Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I cannot put tats on my character's body. On every slot it says "external" even though in the race menu it clearly shows the slot is not used and is on default. I cannot reset it through the SlaveTats menu in MCM by setting it on "No Tattoo", nor did it fix itself when I uninstalled all body tattoo mods I had, in fact it made it worse by not letting me put anything in Slot 6 which was working fine prior to that. I haven't had any problems with Face tattoos or putting tattoos on NPCs. It looks at the file paths associated with overlays to determine if they're SlaveTats or something else. From the sounds of things, you have something installed that's using all of your overlays, but I can't say what. Ok, it's fixed now. I just reinstalled Racemenu and it fixed itself (should have tried earlier). Also there appears to be some difference in "Default" and "default" in the Overlays tab in Racemenu.
chajapa Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I just installed this and tried it. I have a Ningheim follower. I applied some tats, and her entire body turned blue. Her hands and feet and head were fine, but it looked like she had a light blue body stocking on and there were no tats visible on it. I have the latest RaceMenu and all that stuff. I *AM* using the HDT body, but the textures are the CBBE textures from the Ningheim Race mod (for the Ningheim NPCs and my PC). My "vanilla" characters all use the HDT body and CBBE textures. I've read a LOT of the posts on here... up to page 23 I think, and I see you used UNP textures, but there are a couple of CBBE tats in there. The barbed ring around nipples have CBBE and UNP clearly marked in the MCM menu. So I guess my question is.... should I *NOT* be using these with CBBE default textures? Thanks
murfk Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 It's perfectly fine to use CBBE, meshes and textures are both okay. If you use a tattoo that was aimed at UNP with a CBBE body, some of the tattoos will be in the wrong place, slightly. That's all. Did you by any chance use the "Initial E" tattoo? Because that turns people blue. That's a mystery that's been plaguing me since the first release of this mod.
chajapa Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Nope. No Initials. I had the barbed rings around both nipples. I added a few more.... a belly/pubic one, a lower back one, painted nails.... Seemed ok and then *poof!* .... blue body. This was on a Ningheim follower. In fairness, I did several at once so had a hard time trying to quickly discover which one caused the problem. The very first time I applied a tattoo I only did the barbed rings around nipples and it seemed absolutely fine so I went in and added a bunch more. When she turned blue, I started removing tattoos, one at a time, hoping that would show me which one was the problem. She didn't return to normal until I had removed ALL of them. I tried changing cells while she was blue to see if that would fix the issue or have any affect at all.... and it didn't. I will do some more testing tomorrow when I have some time and see if I can nail down exactly which body area and/or tattoo combination makes her blue. I just wanted to be sure that they were supposed to be ok to use on CBBE textures/bodies (I'm told the HDT body is a CBBE body as it uses CBBE textures). Tomorrow I will add one tattoo at a time, run with it a while, change cells, etc. Then add another and run a while and then another, etc. I would LOVE to be able to use this to tattoo followers with other stuff like tribals, but..... baby steps (for me). First have to make sure I don't have a bunch of blue beauties running around. Thank you for the quick response, by the way
omnomnom997 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 There's a small conflict with Sexlab Hormones where when Hormones does a body update, all the tattoes turn white.
barber525 Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I'm having an issue, i'm not sure what the problem is, but whenever i go into the mcm and assign tattoos, it says slave tats finished, but nothing ever shows up, ive tried different colors/combination etc... any ideas?
PubliusNV Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I'm having an issue, i'm not sure what the problem is, but whenever i go into the mcm and assign tattoos, it says slave tats finished, but nothing ever shows up, ive tried different colors/combination etc... any ideas? Are you selecting your character first? I made that mistake the first time I tried it.
afa Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 The hand and feet nail coloring seems to be in the wrong spot? I guess that also varies depending on what body mod being use?
murfk Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 The hand and feet nail coloring seems to be in the wrong spot? I guess that also varies depending on what body mod being use? Yes, it does. They're aligned for UNP.
necrontyr525 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 slight issue: started a new game and facial tats arn't appearing on anyone, PC or NPC.
Senick Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 just updated to the new version, and no longer have any facial tattoos as well
carnifex Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I seem to have a bit of a problem. I had to reinstall Skyrim due to system problems. New install runs fine, mod organizer runs fine. I downloaded a couple of must-have mods, among them the new version of this little gem. Install went fine according to MO, but in the game, the MCM menu for SlaveTats never shows. I've tried reinstalling, redownloading, disabling all mods but SlaveTats and it's dependencies (SkyUI and RaceMenu), messing with SlaveTats' placement in the load order, switching between the alpha and stable builds of SKSE, all to no avail. Anybody has any idea what to do? I'm kinda noobish when it comes to messing with Skyrim, so if there's any kind of info I can give that'd help resolving it, please let me know.
xtremeGoose Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Same problem here as well. It doesn't show up in MCM at all.
carnifex Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Tried two more things, still to no avail. One was copying the mod's .pex file straight into my Scripts folder rather than letting Mod Organizer handle it, the other was using the following command to rebuild MCM menus: setStage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1. I'm testing the new SlaveTown mod at the moment, it would be really cool to spice it up with some kinky tats
murfk Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 Okay. The face tats work in my testing, obviously, or I wouldn't have released it. I need more info. 1) How many of you that are having problems are working with a new game? 2) How many upgraded SlaveTats in your existing save? 3) How many are not having problems?
Gnarl Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Just downloaded your mod, installed it and i didnt work, no mcm menu :-(
murfk Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 For those not seeing the menu at all, which version of SKSE do you have installed?
carnifex Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Tried with both 1.7 alpha and 1.6.16 stable build, with the same result.
murfk Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 I've just uploaded a new version which should fix the missing MCM menu problem. Please let me know how it works for you.
carnifex Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Yes, it works after starting a new game! Thanks a lot for the speedy solution! EDIT: and it works on both SKSE builds, just checked!
necrontyr525 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 re-dling new patch / hotfix. old version wasnt working with skse stable, both on upgraded save and new save.
necrontyr525 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 update: running 9.12 hotfix, and it is a partial success: slavetats appears in the MCM again, but facial tattoos are still not working. i am running skse stable and and have tried it on an upgraded save file, a new game, and a clean save file.
murfk Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 Okay, thanks for the feedback. As yet I don't know why some people are having trouble with the face tattoos, although I have a guess. Version 0.9.12 switched from using tintmasks (which only work on the player) to face overlays (which work on most actors) for the facial tattoos. Face overlays are a new feature of RaceMenu, though. Could you check that you're running the newest version of RaceMenu? If you're not, upgrade and see if that fixes things. Either way, please let me know.
Khirildith Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Managed to put a face tattoo on an npc, so for me it works. Keep up the good work with this mod. I am enjoying it immensely
murfk Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 For those of you still having problems, do the face tattoos become visible after you switch cells?
