guk Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Hey Guk I've been using your sefap and yoga teacher presets(very well done) and I'm wondering if you could point me to a guide or give me advice on how to edit armor conversions so the nips don't poke through. Thanks Most outfits should work with at least one of the additional presets (like "NipZero" etc). Did you try those? I always go through all installed outfits in BS2 and check for clipping in there, then cycle through the presets to see which one fits best. This takes quite a while, but is certainly worth it. If none of them work, i also left some instructions in the CBBE-YT post about which sliders are usually relevant (breast perkiness etc). Editing the conversions themselves can be quite difficult, because you can only edit sliders at 100% but the presets have some extreme setting ranging from -200% to +400%.
Erwin Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Hey there, I've spend the whole night trying to solve a problem which I haven't had some days ago: Couple of days ago I used the instructions from guide 3 to fix some clipping issues, and it worked fine. Then with the ease of mind, that I can fix clipping issues once I have my bodyslide preset finished I spend the last 7 days (yes... 7 days , I know >.<) on that bodyslide preset, and finally yesterday evening I was content That was 10 hours ago. I was finally content with a shape, which produced very little clipping and only with some of CT77 Remodeled Armors. So I went back to use Outfit Studio to fix those small clipping issues on those armors, BUT every time I equip a "clipping-fixed" armor in game I have a CTD. It drives me nuts... tried the last 10 hours to find what I was doing differently than last time, when it worked fine! But I can't find the error I'm doing! I follow guide 3 to the letter. And I can't remember that I did anything differently than some days ago when I successfully tried out the guide 3 procedure before diving into the perfect-bodyslide-body-7-days-madness... it worked just fine then on the same CT77 armor I use for testing I just changed sliders for the body preset in bodyslide Only thing that I found out, that might be related to the CTDs is, that if I compare my edited nif and the nif that is produced by Bodyslide (which works fine, but has some clippings), that the numbers coresponding to different body parts are different after editing the nif in Outfit Studio (see attached screenshot) I'm completely clueless after 10 hours trying to get it working again >.<

I have no CTDs anymore after editing the nifs in Outfit Studio! I didn't do anything different. I just restarted the computer today and that fixed the CTDs... Should have done that yesterday evening, instead of trying to find the problem for 10 hours >.< But sadly I just came around a new problem with the edited nifs . Though I edited the parts around the breasts, that have a little clipping I have MUUUUCH more clipping with those edited nifs than with the meshes, that are created by bodyslide - but only when the breasts move upwards (e.g. when standing up from sneak mode or when breasts bounce up after the hands pull them down - I use HDT collision and Sexy Idle Animation #1). To illustrate I have two screenshots attached. When examining the nif created by bodyslide and the nif I created in Outfit Studio I noticed, that the edited nif doesn't have "NPC R Breast01 [21]" and "NPC L Breast01 [40]" under NiTriShape -> BSDismemberSkinInstance, while the bodyslide created nif has those values (see attached screenshot). Might this be the culprit for the clipping, that appears only with my edited mesh? So if I understand this correctly, it seems, that the nifs that are created by Bodyslide for the Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide HDT by ChronoTrigger77 with my custom made body preset have those two breast01 bones, but my custom made body preset itself (which I use in Outfit Studio as well as the reference body) doesn't have them and by deleting the BodyShape_outfit (which is the one generated by bodyslide for the CT77 Armor) and replacing it with my reference body (which is the very same custom made bodyslide preset I used before in Bodyslide to build the outfit) results in having those two bones missing in my edited nif. To create this custom made body preset I used "CBBE Body HDT" as "Outfit/Body" and I guess, that the femalebody_01.nif (and femalebody_00.nif) generated by that don't come with those two bones. While the meshes for the CT77 Armor generated by bodyslide using my custom made body preset come with those two bones. So, if I am right with my assumption, that this causes the "extra clipping" when breast bounce, how can I get those two bones into the Outfit Studio created NIF? Or should I just NOT delete the body, that comes with the armor mesh and NOT import the reference body and duplicate it into my edited armor mesh? Any help would be greatly appreciated, cause I'm new to Outfit Studio and have spend much time learning about how to use it... but only as far as I can get by myself. Oh, and thanks for taking the time to read all of this
bigglebojiggle Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Can anybody give me tips on making my own sliders? I'm trying to follow through with this guide: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1324094-unofficial-bodyslide-2outfit-studio-tutorials/ But when I save the slider Bodyslide crashes. What I'm wanting to do is to make a UNP-TBBP to SevenBase Natural high, and a SevenBase Bcup Low, so I'm loading my UNP-TBBP body, then for the reference I'm loading the StuffedBunny conversion set, I change my UNP to me SevenBase and try to save a new slider like that but it crashes if I do file/save project as....and it doesnt save anything if I do slider/export slider Im asking here as well as the Bodyslide modders guides and help thread, but this one is way more active, I'm also probably doing this completely wrong
OrcishOatmeal Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Ive been using soulgem oven and ive been very dissapointed to see there isnt many armours using the pregnancy belly slider/bone thing (Yet nearly everything else is there) From a dev standpoint is there a reason? Anyway, I assume, tweaking this myself, i can do this with guide 7?
Jay1646 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Question.. If I wanted to take out the "bounce" in the breasts of a certain armor, what's the proper way of going about it in OS??? All my attempts I just keep messing up the breast scaling

tentail Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Hi, suppose i download an armour mod but the armour meshes and texture come separately, while somebody else develop bodyslide and hdt physics for that armour. Since the guy who develop bodyslide didn't add the armour texture and meshes, does it work if i simply combine the caliente tools folder to the meshers and texture folder?
Levionte Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 If I wanted to take out the "bounce" in the breasts of a certain armor, what's the proper way of going about it in OS??? You could delete the bones as was suggested, or you can simply unweight them by clicking the 'Bones' tab, clicking on Breast bones and Alt + clicking to remove the weights (removes the blue-to-red coloring). Hi, suppose i download an armour mod but the armour meshes and texture come separately, while somebody else develop bodyslide and hdt physics for that armour. Since the guy who develop bodyslide didn't add the armour texture and meshes, does it work if i simply combine the caliente tools folder to the meshers and texture folder? Meshes, regardless of who made them in what program, are assigned textures either within the mesh itself or via the ESP made in the CK. If the textures are assigned properly (using either method) and the game can find texture files where it's being told to look, said textures will be applied to the mesh. For example: If bodyslide exports NIF files that are assigned textures 'Skyrim/data/textures/clothes/clothes.dds,' so long as there is a clothes.dds files in that location, that texture will be applied.
claydough Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 hey quick question, and i know it's probley been covered before. whats the most effective way to change your body texture on the fly? i've built quite a slim body that will get quite large in the chest area. im using fair skin complextion textures currently with the normal textures, but with the slider at 0 weight the shading on the breasts is rather odd looking while the "slim" textures in the fair skin complextion just dont look as good. is there an easy way of changing between the two? so far ive found "bodychange" but im not sure how this will go combined with bodyslide sets????
Jay1646 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Okay thanks guys for the tips, it worked! One more question, I ran into a problem with converting this outfit to UNP HDT racemenu BS: As you can see it uses only the outfit and no body reference The normal way of converting it to UNP racemenu doesn't work any tips on how to convert this? here's the actual outfit: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/47100-rory-campbells-bodyslide-2-conversions/page-7?do=findComment&comment=1194164

It got loaded with Load Project, as you can see the "ShapeData\..." path. What you have to do is use Load Reference to switch to UUNP and continue with the conversion process. In case I'm wrong, simply uncheck "Copy reference shape into output" in the Save Project As dialog.
krocoz Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Some conversions I've downloaded (like Frost Queen Attire in here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/29072-hdt-bodyslide-armor-conversions-by-trykz/) have a different sliders than the most conversions, so how do I use this type of conversions?

FinalCloud Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 So like, trying to convert an armour with Bodyslide. When following the guide by blabba; So after doing Slider -> Set Base Shape then loading the reference back in, the body just does not stick with the armour. (I.e. the armour just stays in 1 place while the body moves (this is if I move say SH slider or Double Melon or w/e)) What is the likely thing that I have not done properly?

Multispec1980 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) Okay, sorry if this has been asked a gazillion times already and it probably has. But I have searched and searched for 3-4 days now, reinstalled Skyrim fully 3 times because I continue to cock it up. In short: How do I install another persons presets for my own use? I want to use "I love cleavage" (cant post links yet), more specifically I want to use that exact body slide configuration for my base body, from the newest pictures. If I equip the Ancient Nord Armour (first picture) the body looks like the pictures, but if I unequip the armour or put on another the body resets to default and not as I want it from the second picture. How do I go about changing that? Many thanks in advance from someone who is very inexperienced with modding. Edited June 8, 2015 by Multispec1980

You install a preset by dropping the 'preset'.xml into the SliderPresets folder either manually or through a mod manager. If you've successfully built the Ancient Nord Armor I assume you've already done that. In bodyslide, you select the Outfit/Body you want to change the shape of, at the top where it says Outfit/Body: [Drop down box]. The preset is immediately below that which you can select in a similar fashion or create your own using the sliders. In order for the changes to show up in the game you have to click the big 'Build' button at the bottom for every single piece of armor you want to change. You can do multiple outfits at a time using the 'Batch Build...' option at the bottom left. It sounds like you've successfully built the Ancient Nord Armor. Now you have to click through the other sets and build them as well and make sure you have the preset selected when you do. For the naked body, you have to build the body of your choice (CBBE Body, CBBE Body HDT, CBBE Never nude, etc.) with the same preset selected. If the preset doesn't show up on an outfit, I would re-save it (Save Preset... right next to the preset selection) and make sure to check all the outfit groups you want to use the preset for. I forget which one covers the outfits without a group but there's nothing wrong with selecting all of them.

I thought that by giving myself the ancient nord armour through the console I could see if I had succeeded installing it. When I equip that piece the breasts and bodily features looks like in the picture, but when I unequip the armour the breasts etc. changes shape to whatever other body happened to be installed with CBBE. However there is also images of a naked body with the same breasts as when the armour is equipped. In the files section on Nexus there are 3 main files, 1 including the naked female body v. 10 which the pictures I mentioned are named so I assume that this file contains the presets for that body so when naked the body will look like the uploaded image. This file however contains no .xml file, it contains two .nif files. I assumed these two files somehow would give me the body preset, am I being completely dumb here?

A preset is an xml file in "Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\SliderPresets" that bodyslide uses to generate your nifs; not the other way around. I have no idea what's included in what packages - you'd have to ask the mod author if it's not in the description. But if it comes with a preset you should be able to select it when you generate your meshes in bodyslide. To be honest, it sounds like a body replacer that doesn't use/require bodyslide. If you're only looking for consistency, why not use the two nif files (that I'm assuming are femalebody_0/1.nif)?
lindazana Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Hey all! I could use a little bit of help, or be pointed in the right direction for it. I recently got several bodyslide outfits here, and while they do their job right, several of them suffer issues with clipping. Mainly, when the breasts move, they bounce up through the tops of the outfit. I...think It has to do with bone weights, but I'm unsure. I know another option is to do...something...to make it so the skin beneath the outfit doesn't show when it clips.

I know another option is to do...something...to make it so the skin beneath the outfit doesn't show when it clips. Mesh Rigger is the tool I mostly use to handle bone weights. It takes a little bit of reading to learn how to use it but it's really not that difficult. Most of the settings you can leave at default and it'll be okay for most outfits. I find that helps a lot with weight-related clipping. You're referring to a hidden zap slider, which is also very effective on outfits you can use it on. You select the reference body and mask all the parts of it that are visible and not hidden underneath the outfit. Slider > New Zap slider. Highlight the slider and hit Slider > Properties: Change Low and High Default Values to 100 (so it's on all the time) and check Hidden.
