gtcard Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Hey guys I just started using outfit studio and am trying to understand the workflow of converting in skyrim. I converted a x117 outfit to UUNP Special body with the UNP Skinny preset (made with body slide), which is the current body I use. I used my body's nif as a reference and after doing the necessary sculpting I exported the outfit to test in game. I realized the entire body mesh was missing in-game so I went back to duplicate shape the reference body. Now the body mesh appears in game, but the body is moving independent of the outfit because of hdt affecting the breasts belly and butt. What is the typical workflow from this point on? I can't find any videos of how to properly convert an outfit from one custom body type to another, so I don't really know what steps are usually involved in this process. Try the tutorials in this thread and the ones on the Nexus mod page. You most likely didn't copy the weighting of UUNP to your outfit. Hi thanks for the reply. That was indeed the problem and it answered a question I've had for side time now, which is why the weighing is important. I saw in the tutorial to copy the weights if I wanted TBBP but I didn't, so I skipped that step. It didn't occur to me that it isn't a choice if my reference body has HDT path strings, and copying the body means the physics are copied with it. Am I safe to assume I can remove the HDT strings to remove physics from this outfit? The bounce is completely unnatural right now because it's using the same xml as a default naked body, which just looks weird with clothing textures on. It looks very much like the clothing is just painted on, not worn. I guess at this point I have to use a different physics xml to mute the effect somewhat, and edit the string on the nif to point to the new xml?
OmgItsaGhost! Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Okay so I tried to make a CBBE/Bodyslide HDT conversion of the Tomb Raider outfit that's on modtype. Everything looks good and stuff in the Outfit studio, and it appears very nice in the game. However, I'm getting those irritating clipping issues around the butt and inner thighs. I tried increasing the mesh volume in those areas but that's not working at all. Mostly it just makes the leg area seem blocky, and then the clipping persists. There's also been no decrease in the butt clipping. Is there any solution to this? I have no idea how to do option 3, with the bone weights and such. Would I have to do the zapping thing to those areas? When you convert to a different body type, you have to do the weights thing. However, even when you do it, it can still clip. In that case you would have to try using the Mesh Rigger tool or touching up the weighting manually in OS. If the butt is covered up properly, you can zap the body underneath in those parts, yeah. Okay cool. Thanks for the reply. When I was converting it, everything seemed too good to be true. In Outfit Studio, the conversion went so smooth and I had it looking great in there with less effort than some other conversions that should be more routine (the Tomb Raider outfit wasn't set up for UNPB or CBBE, I only assumed it was the vanilla body and went from there). Then I went for for the CBBE - > Bodyslide conversion and there was NO clipping in Outfit Studio at all. It was only when I got into the game and started moving I saw all this skin showing through down there. It's because there's crosstalk, meaning the right thigh is doing some moving of the left thigh and vice versa. It's easily cleaned up manually by holding the left alt button while using the weight painting brush. Clean up any weights on each thigh which shouldn't be there, they'll be obvious once you open the bone tab and select the pants and the thigh bone. I find it easier to to weight work by disabling the tectures by hitting the "t" key once. Okay sorry to bother. I did this and it eliminated the butt clipping! However, it did nothing for the inner thigh clipping, which is persistent (not just while moving). Is that not a crosstalk issue?
dTd Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 If the pants/clothes are covering the inner thighs in OS, and you've eliminated the crosstalk from the inner thighs on that particular piece, it should be working correctly unless you didn't copy the weights to each piece originally. Inner thigh areas can be tricky, but copying the weights and fixing the crosstalk should be all you need to do.
Broccoli Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Hello there There's a problem that's bugging me for awhile now I wonder could someone help me with this? Here it goes, let's say there's a armor/clothing is packed in a .bsa file and somebody just created a Bodyslide conversion of it After installing the Bodyslide conversion files to Bodyslide 2.6a. I generated the conversion with my edited CBBE HDT Body preset, and i went in game to test it but it seems that it doesn't replace the original files Do i need to unpack the .bsa file then only replace it with my bodyslide generated conversion meshes?

Assuming Bodyslide is exporting the meshes to the correct folder and all that, loose files will take priority over those packed in a BSA so there's no need to mess with it. If you're using mod organizer, however, I believe MO will dictate priorities and treat packed and unpacked assets equal in this regard; so you'll need to make sure your exported meshes wins the conflict.

Yup I did a clean reinstall of my Skyrim and i was using NMM for quite awhile now, so that i figured it out that it's time to give MO a try! Even though i have already watched Gopher's MO videos i have a feeling that i am still inexperienced with the program since i have absolutely no idea how do i set my bodyslide generated meshes at the highest priority for MO to load it instead of the ones inside the packed BSA file. By the way, It has been awhile since i have used Bodyslide, and i just noticed that there's another bodytype? Unified UNP ?

MILF Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hi everyone. I have a problem. When i tried to ''zap'' sleeves on TBBP outfit in bodyslide i get crushed when i load this outfit in Bodyslide.
wabi-sabi Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Alright. What did I do wrong? Looking for someone to point me to the right bodyslide and/or outfit studio guide. I'm creating a new body preset file called "HotReal Body". In Bodyslide I loaded up CBBE Body HDT and created the Hotreal Body preset. This preset is ONLY available for CBBE Body HDT. I don't know how to make it available for outfits. Help.
Chordveil Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 thanks for the guide, i kinda tried doing some of my own and it works wonder. . .or so i thought but i actually encounter some problem during the creation, and i can't figure out how to solve this i tried to do jackga's beat blades haruka (it's q ninja in this http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19186-jackgas-stuff/), the slider works and it follows my body structure perfectly. . . the problem is the HDT animation, the clothes didn't follow the actual breast and butt movements which resulting in this i thought it's probably because that clothes isn't for CBBE so the clothes turn out like that (i didn't convert it because i thought it was for CBBE), but it's also happen when i tried to make my own bodyslide for teraCBBE by frigus

I would guess there's something like that wrong with the bone weighting, based on the given information. Make sure there aren't any areas without weight painting by click through the bones tab. I would especially check those ribbon-things that are far from the reference body. Invisible gear is also common when you set it to the wrong partition slot, but you couldn't have done that in outfit studio. If you can't figure it out, you post the NIF from your ShapeData folder I'll take a look.

Make sure all the pieces are on slot 32 like the screenshot below. Side note: 32 is the default skyrim body mesh but what's really important is that it's consistent with whatever slot it is assigned within the ArmorAddon in the esp. So, armor that is worn alongside the body armor (gloves, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.) will be on different slots. The mesh has to be the same as what is specified within the esp. But since this is body armor, it'll probably be 32. yes those are the meshes that the bodyslide create and much thanks to you i tried to do the bone again and now both the armor and HDT are working properly though if you don't mind me taking advantage of your kindness, is there any way to make the bodyslide produce the meshes that is already assigned to slot 32? if there's any tutorial out there please point me the way :> Yes, change the mesh in your 'Skyrim\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData' folder. The specific folder and file name are whatever you named them on the "Save Project" prompt window (towards the bottom). That's the mesh that is used as a template for the meshes generated by bodyslide. Hi, I just switched to clams of skyrim, following the install process provided, But when I used the Bodyslide exe's body Previews no textures are showing up on the mesh. However, the textures are fine ingame. Is there a quick fix for this? Is that a body replacer? That question is probably better suited for that mod author, since they know how their mod is setup. However, it sounds like the textures are contained within a BSA, which bodyslide hasn't been able to read in the past. I remember reading that cell added bsa support though, so make sure you're using the latest version of bodyslide.
