Since the update I have had events trigger a few times, but each time there was no notification.

The option in the mcm is still on the right setting. 

Didn't start a new game, is that required?

Yes, I meant iMaxOpsPerFrame in the PapyrusTweaks.ini. You can set it quite high if you have powerful CPU. Try various values and choose the one which works the best for you.

I'm assuming it's papyrus being annoying, so starting a new save is probably the best idea. You can try the instructions to fix the MCM which might help.

Otherwise if the issue persists even with a new save let me know

Hey @cybercheese, I haven't gotten any lewd marks or curses yet, but I have gotten some random devices. Looking forward to what's coming up. There is one thing, and I'm not 100% sure it's this mod since I'm trying a lot of new things this pt, but sometimes a message box appears saying error. I do get equipped with a device, so that part of it is working. I'm attaching the papyrus and dev. curses logs from when it happened.Error Message Papyrus.0.log Error Message DeviousCurses.log Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks for the mod.

It is an issue with the mod, I'll fix it in an update soon

This is actually a bug in my translation unit. I will have a fix out soon.

It will only send an error when you have sex with someone and they lock a device on you (Consequence)

I'm trying to install a mod pack that needs the file "DeviousCurses_0.8.0.1.7z" not the 0.8.1 version Can anyone point me to where I can get a copy?

download the current verion, change the file name in the download folder, done.

The curator of that list should have a note not to bother the mod authors, but to tell him when he needs to update his list, so: begone!

Hello, @cybercheese!

 

Current implementation of the healslut lewd mark is a bit problematic:

1. While the mark is active - not only weapons are being unequipped, but also all spells too, including Healing Hands.

2. After healslut lewd mark is gone - the unequip effect persists.

 

Possible solution: do not unequip things, but register damage done to others and punish for that periodically instead, for example by binding up hands in some restraints outside of combat with appropriate messagebox ("You're healer, not a damage dealer!")

Would it be possible to get a list of the Madness Plug events? As well as a list with the Expanded ones with permanent stat penalties?

Got it on an older version and am both curious what is new and what I might have missed, because I did sort of feel I was getting the same 2-3 events over and over and did feel I didn't really need to experience it again after that so if there are enough new and exciting events I'd like to increase the chance of it again.

 

Also somewhat relevant, why are we not allowed to fully disable particular oppressive devices?

To add to this, it could be that the mark simply reduces damage dealt from all sources by 1,000%.

I can't seem to get the saarthal collar event to trigger.

I have the proper things checked in sexlab like it says, is there some other config that I am missing? It seems to be the only quest integration that I haven't been able to trigger.

I think you can set probability of disliked oppressive device to 0 in the Oppressive Devices section of MCM and it won't be picked?

I've only ever been able to get them down to 1 never 0.

The Saarthal event equips the Summoner Collar, which requires Random Sex to be enabled in the Devious Curses MCM.

You shouldn't have anything unequipped with the healslut mark. I'll look into what's causing this.

As others have said disabling oppressive devices has been fixed since at least version 0.7.4. Also the Madness plug has just been updated so that events are more likely to be unique. I do also have plans to add more events to the madness plug in the future. 

I'll think about adding a full list of what the madness plug can do, but I like concept of it being a surprise.

This is effectively what the mark already does (or should do). I haven't tested it in a while, and while unlikely it is possible that I have accidentally changed what it does by tweaking other things.

It requires for creatures and random sex to both be enabled under the sex tab for devious curses. This has caused a lot of confusion so I might change it's implementation a bit so that it is less confusing and works better.

First, let me say that I love the Summoner Collar. ❤️ It is perhaps my favorite feature from this mod.

 

(I have my own patch that changes the summoned frost atronach to be a male Dremora instead, since I'm not a fan of frost atronach sex.)

 

Unfortunately, having Random Sex turned on in the MCM causes a bunch of problems in my game because it interferes with events from other mods and even interferes with vanilla force greets from NPCs (courier deliveries, Durak from Dawnguard, etc.)

 

Because of those conflicts, I need to have Random Sex turned off most of the time, such as in towns, and I can only turn on Random Sex when I'm adventuring out in the wilderness.

 

I wish that the Summoner Collar did not require Random Sex to be turned on, and I wish that sex with the summoned creature was initiated a bit more gracefully to avoid causing so many interruptions and conflicts.

If Abadon restraints are to be applied during an event - it seems that they ignore Boss Heavy Bondage rule.

It would be cool if you could add an interactive way to get rid of it rather that the normal means. I was definitely inspired by another mod, I think it was called sexlab confabulations.

Basically when you would equip the necklace it would turn into a set of metal restraints, and you would have to go through the saarthal excavation in them. Then to remove them you would go back and talk to the archmage and he would remove them with an event (sex).

It would be cool to have something like that for this quest interaction for the mod. Have it equip the summoning collar, and you are harassed by it constantly through the excavation quest until you go back and talk to the archmage.

Just a suggestion, I love the addition of the quest interactions but adding a bit more flavor dialogue/ events would make it much much more enticing to do.

Summoner collar is good, but why only one creature or only one type of creature? Randomizer wanted.

Sheagorath item description said it may cause permanent effect, but playing near month with it does not break weak girl.

It would be nice if you could toggle whether or not heavy bondage unequips spells. I have had my game configured for a while now so that my character could still cast while bound in most heavy bondage items, but with the new update my spells continuously unequip and there are not any options I could find to disable this.

It's normal DD behaviour to unequip spells, but there are mods out there that still allow it. Maybe your mod manager changed your LO?

I know it is normal but I was able to configure  a DDNG .ini file to allow equipping and using magic.

 

The behavior of the new update appears to make it so as soon as you equip it force unequips. I do not think LO will change this. It is not a 'blocked' action to equip the spell, it just unequips it after a couple of seconds. It is not a deal-breaker or anything as I can still engage in unarmed combat but it was nice to be able to cast while in heavy bondage and I think having the option would be more positive than negative. If it were to be a MCM option or just an option through an .ini file, it would make me a happy person.

It's a good point though, i came here wondering that point too since it should be DD's API that unequips it. If mod devs needs to do a thing about it that should be a bug in the library, or incorrect use of DD's device equipping (in which case this mod would be prone to even more bugs and incompatibility issues).

I play with UD myself, it might even override DD-NG's behavior on that regard.

It seems like a rework of the Summoner Collar is needed. It will most likely follow the same general formula as it currently does, but I'll figure out a way for it to not require Random Sex to be enabled and maybe add more creatures to it.

This sounds more like the consequence system, is that what you're having an issue with?

My intention was to remove spells when heavy bondage is equipped, but it is unintentionally being run more frequently than expected. With the next version it will only remove spells when heavy bondage is equipped.

For me DDNG does not properly unequip items in hands for UD added heavy bondage specifically.

 

It might be a little while until I can get a new mod update out. It has been hard to stay motivated on any task with recent events.
