SexoutNG - Stable Release '97

A while back I introduced some functionality into the quest interface that allows an act to be initiated, and sexout will wait indefinitely until all the actors in the act are unlocked (available) before proceeding. This change introduced some subtle issues that haven't come to light until now, and I'm of a mind to remove this functionality, reverting back to the old behavior of the act simply failing if any of the actors are locked.

 

Fixing it so that it works correctly is possible, but it's a lot of work, and when all is said and done it will still cause strange behavior for players even when working properly -- for example an act could be delayed several minutes (or hours) and then suddenly detect the actors are all available, and execute. This could result in actors being teleported across the world and other undesirable things.

 

I will cover this in more detail in the beta thread when I put it out but I want to give a heads up here to get wider coverage, early.

 

Objections will be noted, but rejected. Objections after the beta are out may be considered if they also include code (based on the beta code -- a lot is changing) to permanently and correctly fix the issue.

Bring on the pain, revert it's broken arse till you have time to do more, if it's really called for :)

Oh no full on reverts, lawdy no. I just finished rewriting the entire Run and RunFull UDFs to get rid of this horribly nasty bug that is contributing to some of the problems reported in Tryouts, and then came across this one, contributing as well.

 

Really I can't think of any mods intentionally using this, and the act 'queue'/FIFO idea I had I now recognize was... a bad one. Terrible in fact. Let us never speak of it again.

I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask this question but, So how do I get SexoutLegion, SexoutPowderGangers and the other gang related Sexout esps/esms? The thread that used to contain them has been edited to where there is no download link anymore.

In order to update to the latest version of sexoutNG do I need to remove the previous version first and then install this one? Or would I need to do the upgrade on a clean install?

I'm having an issue with Alignments of characters being too high when using ZAZ animations, all the actors are a little too high on all the equipment.  I'm using the default bodies, it's all a fresh install of the mods, not sure what is going on.

Did not know this was a known issue, thought I was doing something wrong.  Appreciate all the work it takes to keep thing going with Sexout.

Unistall old - Install new. It's the safest way.

Either way (uninstall/reinstall) or MM upgrade should work fine. Sexouts installer isn't very complex.

 

You don't need to clean save or anything like that, so whichever way you go it's pretty easy.

I am aware. Some of them are aligned, but most of them aren't. I'm working on it when I have time but it's a lot of animations to go through.

I've recently updated and went on a mini fuckathon to test things out, and for the most part I've only seen synchronization errors more than alignment issues...except for this, which cracked me up.

Despite how it looks, she's not supposed to be eating his ass, I'm fairly sure. Going by the way they were both moving, she should have been cornholing him. That particular animation (sorry, I don't remember how to get the anim#) is pretty consistently that far off no matter who's on top or bottom, PC involved or 2 NPCs. If you can tell me how to get it, I can get you the animation number next time I see it.

I don't know how many times I can repeat this.

 

Without knowing the actual animation #, I can do fuckall about issues like that. You get it by checking the inventory in the console.

 

I also need to know that you are up to date with the current release, and that you haven't installed Amras animations or any other mods that overwrite sexout files or override records in the ESM.

Does that include those minor alignment issues, or you are pretty much aware of them and are working on them.

 

So pull up the console and capture the screen should give enough info for you to deduce what animation and other important info correct? I haven't really ever looked at the actual animation numbers so that is the reason I am asking. However I am up to date and never seen that animation combo yet. (mostly tryouts testing though.)

I don't need them at all. I can't recognize the hundreds of animations by sight, and many look identical when frozen anyway since they're just running at different speeds. I need to know three things to fix alignment issues and things like that.

 

1. What version of sexout you're on. If you're not on the latest one (beta if there is one, release otherwise) then update and test again before reporting.

 

2. If you've installed any 3rd party animation plugins. If so, disable them and test again before reporting.

 

3. If you get to this step (latest sexout, no animation plugins), open the console, click one of the actors, and type 'inv'. Look for the "SexoutNGAnimCounter" in the inventory list. There will be anywhere from a few hundred of them, to several thousand. I need to know how many -- that is the anim # of the playing anim.

 

 

 

Alternatively you can do one of two things.

 

1. Capture a sexout debug log the normal way. The animation that is being played is logged there.

 

2. (I really do not like this, but.. shit..) Save the game during the animation and then send me the NX save file. The CSV. Not the actual save ending in .sav, not the nvse file ending in .nvse, the NX file. It's in data/nvse/plugins/extender/saves/ and will otherwise be named the same thing as the save.

Not the picture of the act but the capture of the console as the sex at was occurring is what I was asking. I thought that would show the acts and animations but could be wrong. Never really paid attention to it. I am concerned that I would miss the number that was needed to give you, besides the fact I am not sure of the numbers that I need to get in the first place.

Only default sex-out for animations. I avoided all the mods that have 3rd party animations. I just don't use them.. at least until you do your next fix. However good to know in case I ever do install a mod that has 3rd party animations.

Not sure of what you are telling me here. However I will check the console when I play FNV next and see what you are talking about. I should understand when I see it however if I don't .. I will report back for clarification..

haven't done that yet.. not sure if I know how to turn on the debug. I assume when you do turn it on.. it should be closest to the actual acts problem as possible? Also should give the entire unedited version of the log as well.. Any clipping or editing can be done by you as needed. Correct.

The screenshot *might* show it, depending on how much crap is in the actors inventory. You need to scroll the token I mentioned into view so I can see the count -- at which point just write the # down and post it here without the screenshot. ;)

I don't know how to make that any clearer without doing it as a list, so here:

1. Open console with tilde key.

2. Click on one of the actors involved in the misaligned act.

3. Make sure the actor is selected -- look for their name/ID at the top of the screen.

4. Type 'inv' in the console and press return.

5. Using pgup/pgdown look for "SexoutNGAnimCounter". There will be two numbers on the same line. The ID (I don't need this, it's a big hex number) and the count (a decimal number from 101..5500 or so) which I do need.

 

All I need is that #.

It's best if you turn on the console log at the start of the game, before you load your save. Make the save first somewhere that you can somewhat quickly reproduce the problem, but before it happens. Turn on sexout debug mode (in MISC -- just normal debug, not scanner) before making the save.

 

Quit. Start. Open the console while at the main menu and enter

scof "debug.txt"
Load the game, play to the error, and quit.

 

Upload "debug.txt" from your game directory.

 

Delete debug.txt, or else next time you go to capture a log, it will append to that file instead of creating a new one.

Will there ever be underwear body meshes for females like the male bodies currently have with the function of equipping each mesh depending on what the character is doing? I saw in the description that there's a file associated with the erect male body. Is there something like that for the female body?

Mostly I think it's up to the plugins stripping the player to decide whaether they redress the actors in what they were wearing or leave them naked or wear something like underwear. Thought there are MCM options in Sexout that interact in that somehow, never tried them myself and I don't believe underwear is an option.

Females don't have a visible body change between sex-ready and not sex-ready(unless someone has made an erect nipples mod I don't know about). Men need 2 bodies for erect and limp. So no, there is not an equivalent setup for women. Just naked.

I think the question was if there was a possibility so that females can be dressed when you strip their bodies and such like the male equivalent. If that was the case that would mean that there would need to be another body like with the males that would be same except with underwear on and swapped out when sexout activated.

 

Equal rights. Why is only the males in underwear when stripped out (dead) and females are stark naked.. ? :D That is basically what I think marieruth is asking. I have wondered about that a few times as well.

 

Instead I substituted a mod.. forget the name now. that controlled the clothing and then went and got some sexy clothing and set it up so that no matter what those clothes would be left on. Garder belt, bra sometimes even sexy gloves.. :). That might be an option marieruth since Pride and kainsChylde just want at look at dead naked women ^_^

Yeah I have no desire to see full naked dead bodies myself especially male, if they are female ok, but it doesn't make sense really for people to steal a dead persons underwear, unless there was a cleanliness mod that required new underwear and washing of underwear so underwear became valuable :)

Maybe underwear could be monitored by Wear & Tear for STD's like crabs :)

If you see a naked body there should be no point bothering to search them for stuff either unless they keep their caps especially painfully well hidden :)

Though there's issues there if they died naked of course.

The 707 is the animation if I understand this correctly

 

Now if there is a major misalignment you will need the faulty one or if in question both bodies/InV checked for animations correct?

 

Oh and I like list.. :D. Makes everything easier to understand.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about with underwear, in my game everyone is naked under their armor. Male, female, or otherwise everyone is swinging free.
